One of the oldest family owned supermarket and meat departments since 1924. Serves the Spanish , Black and white populations. They have the longest serving meat department in the USA .. you can get meat, fish and poultry there. great Goya and produce Dept , great bakery . Next door they have a smoke factory

This place is a gem. I love the Hispanic flare to the supermarket. Not a giant store, more of a local family run market. A very good supply of fresh vegetables with peppers being abundant. The best thing about the store is the meat department. It is billed as the longest meat counter in Ohio. You can get anything here cut to your order. The staff is super friendly, the party trays are excellent. Lots of safe parking. The prices haven't gone up that bad. I drive 30 miles to go here. Prices are starting to go up. I think it is just inflation.

Love getting my meats here and usually very happy with them. Watch for their porterhouse steaks. The filet mignon part is cut away many times and it's actually a strip steak. Also didn't like the flavor of their 70/30 ground beef sale. Had a very off taste the last time I purchased it. The service there is awesome and everyone is super helpful and friendly!

I bought crab stuffed mushrooms. I asked if crab was imitation they told me it was not. Well let's say it was imitation terrible to say the least. Cooked it and tossed it in the garbage. It was a waste of 5.00 your employees need to know what they are selling 😕

I used to live in Sheffield vlg and this was my preferred place to shop for meats and now that I've moved to Cleveland I still make the drive to get my fresh meats here. Great store!

Being from South Africa it was hard to try get used to buying my meat supplies from a chain store. What's on the shelf is what you get. Then someone told me about Fligners - I can only say WOW! Finally somewhere that I can get the cut the way that I want it. The staff are incredibly friendly and the lady at the bakery already knows what I want when I get there. This truly is the best place in Lorain County. I am a customer for life.

I bought some chicken wings the other day and I have bought them there before and never had a problem but theses wings were so little ot was ridiculous they must of been from bantam chickens barley any meat on them and tiny

I love this market. It's a 20 minute drive for me but they have great cuts of meat and a big section of house prepared meals in the cooler section. Their frozen perogies are the best! Only detractor would be the seafood counter. Each time I've gone to buy fish, I've been told that I can only buy the cut of fish with the tail on (when I asked for it to be cut off) or when I've asked to purchase a piece of fish, I've been told all she could sell me was a huge pound and half sized piece which ended up being almost $20! Sorry, but I'll take my fish business elsewhere where I can buy the size and portion that I want. Otherwise, it's a nice little market.

Local “historic”? gem, huge meat selection, bakery, deli, Great produce (best oranges I’ve seen in awhile), lots of prepared meals to go (to warm at home). Good prices! The homemade lasagna was divine.

Every want to visit a throwback grocery store you have to come. Meat counter is what they are known for and prices are great. Service is amazing and this place is loaded with hard to find items. Great selection of ready to eat food and bakery items! They do have employees who take your cart out and load your car so bring a few dollars for a tip!

Any type of meat you can ask for is under this roof. They always have a sale on something. I've never gotten anything bad from Fligner's. Staff is so nice and they even take your groceries to the car and load them for you! Don't forget to tip em!

The owner doesnt care about anyone at all a couple teenagers 13 were messing with a property he just bought and tampered with windows that were already damaged big time and he pressed charges with felony’s stupid mistakes as a younger teenager has to amount to this shameful and also they cater the meet in a back of a utal almost not wrapped up flies filth look up pictures and we give people like this are more net for nasty product I’ll find pics afterwords and post and I’ll be watching what they do also

First time here. The meat counter lives up to the billing and the prices are terrific. Of course, the truth comes when we start cooking what we purchased. I'm optimistic though. The folks working in the meat department, the deli, and up front were all friendly and helpful, too. This is shopping the way it used to be.

Great place, called ahead and was able to get some 35 day dry aged bone-in ribeyes. Grilled them for a guys night and the meat did not disappoint. I definitely will be back!

We had a 50th Anniverary family party & ordered prepared food..roast beef, oven baked chicken, mashed potatoes, zucchini, & yellow squash vegetables. Your food was excellent! I always pick up a round steak and have them tenderize it. This time I purchased 3! Their premade meals are great also, especially the Turkey, meatloaf and vegtable lasagna! The employees are always very helpful.

After a quick response from the store I am changing my review. The store is obviously very popular. The crowds might be the reason the staff were overwhelmed and unable to answer questions. If your looking for a Down Home market with a country feel, look no further. I would ask managers to please mind the carpets in front of the doors. I tripped over a lump and nearly fell on my way in. As far as the smell, my son assured me it's what a butcher shop smells like and they have a HUGE meat counter.

I'm a regular customer there. Been going to Fligner's since I was a young boy with my dad. They're a little pricey on alot of items, but there meat department has anything and everything that you're looking for. Don't get me wrong, you can find weekly deals there. I highly recommend giving Fligner's a try.
