The highlight was an adorable Shiba Inu puppy that caught not only my niece's eye but also unexpectedly stole my heart. Despite the immediate connection, I left the store that day puppy-less, yet the little Shiba Inu lingered in my thoughts for over a week.Driven by this enduring impression, I returned to Petland for another visit. We spent over two hours playing with the puppy, a testament to the store's accommodating nature. Although I left again without the puppy, the interaction was far from transactional.Jenna, the store manager, was a standout during my visits. Her approach was the epitome of professionalism blended with genuine care. Her extensive knowledge and willingness to work with me on the financial aspects were commendable. Jenna's consistent communication, kindness, and assistance throughout the process were instrumental in my decision-making.Breaking my own rule of exclusively buying from breeders, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the puppies at Petland, particularly the Shiba Inu that had captured my affection. The next day, with all concerns addressed, I joyfully returned to bring my new furry friend home.Petland Lewis Center is a cut above the rest, largely owing to exceptional staff like Jenna. The added benefits that came with my puppy were the cherry on top, offering perks I hadn't experienced before. This entire journey with Petland has been nothing short of impressive, leaving me highly satisfied and grateful for the new addition to my family.Kudos to Petland Lewis Center for not just meeting, but exceeding expectations in pet care and customer service. PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.A few months earlier I decided to get a pet sun conure. Since this place had mostly positive reviews, I looked into buying one of the birds here.I don’t have anything against the employees in particular but I wish I knew that their pay is commission based. They will use predatory sales tactics in order to push you into buying an overpriced pet and supplies. They also have no problem giving out ridiculous high interest loans and disgusting them as simple financing plans.Now I’m stuck with a very expensive AND sick bird. Please do your research and you’ll see that they have a long history of treating animals poorly and scamming vulnerable people. This company has no problem selling sick animals to unsuspecting people! You can’t even get a refund. Don’t let the four star rating fool you :(

he store is so clean and the staff is wonderful. I went in for a little puppy therapy so to speak because I was missing my old dog and they brought me lots of puppies to love on. The last one really touched my heart and I brought him home. Even though i live in the east side of Columbus, i go to this petsmart Lewis Center for anything dog and cat related. They have as awesome, caring staff.

Puppy Mill dogs, hurt & scared birds and small critters in cages. They're hurt because small children and teenagers reach in and grab at them until they're caught, and then get thrown back in when the grabbing child doesn't have a pleasant experience with the biting, clawing, screaming animal. The animals are scared because this happens all day, every day. We go in just to see the larger birds when we are in the area, and we always leave just a little bit more mortified at the conditions and demeanor of the animals. I wish someone would actually do something about this chain of stores. It's becoming increasingly inhumane to the animals. Every Petland is like this unfortunately.

The staff was very knowledgeable but the dogs were EXTREMELY expensive, they carry nothing fish related, and there wasn't a selection of pets like they used to have. Outside of staff knowledge, there's nothing remarkable going on here.

Wish they weren't selling $3,000 Amish bred dogs and lying about them being puppy mill dogs to your face when I easily pulled up the same exact puppies being sold by that breeder for half the price on Google. Puppies shouldn't come with a lifetime guarantee.

Edit: I've never been more disappointed in a establishment that I use to shop at weekly. I will never step foot in this store again or any petlands for that matter! My wife and I was going to buy another puppy from them but no way that is happening now. This store is a giant scam! I got ripped off around 300 dollar though Comenity loan company. I can't express how much of a headache this has caused my family. I love my dog he's great and I don't regret getting him. Unfortunately I'll never get another puppy from here. They're are plenty of local breeders that sale pure breeds at better prices and you won't have to deal with petland over drawing your account thousands of dollars... this company is trash go some where else.Okay dude straight up I love this place! Like I got a dog from here and he's perfect. The staff here was very and the establishment was very clean and all the animals seemed very happy and well taken care of. I got papers with my puppy and a lot of other stuff I know people are kind of against getting animals from pet stores however here I feel like doing it this was the best decision for my family. I've adopted pets before and I love doing that but unfortunately here in ohio it's tough get a dog from a shelter that fits the requirements of a small apartment so I get it if don't agree but I don't have any regrets. I'll come back to this review in a few months but for now I'm happy with our choice.

Great employees, adorable pets! My partner and I got Ollie from there who is an amazing puppy. He is incredibly cute, well behaved, calm, etc. The only reason I give four stars is because I was taken back with how spendy the two dogs we looked at were. Which I understand why they are so expensive I just would not have been so surprised if the website we looked at prior to visiting the store had shown the prices or a rough estimate. I completely understand the price and why they don't show it, just wish I would have been told before we brought a puppy out only to put its hopes up and put it back.

Previous experiences at Lewis Center Petland were filled with guilt tripping and shame for even looking at any of the pets in the store due to a select few employees. However, coming back years later and meeting this wonderful employee Ambar was such an amazing experience. Ambar was very passionate, empathetic, and so personable we felt at home. We went in just to browse and Ambar let us play with a beautiful little dachshund and fortunately she assisted us in as many ways as she possible could as far as the financing and just being very attentive and understanding of our situation. Ambar treats customers like family and you could truly see the amount of care she had quite literally upon on her face. I don’t typically do surveys, but Lewis center Petland, Ambar is THE employee to go to if you want a really great experience with no judgement and feeling like the employee cares about your experience and finding these puppies good homes. I hope Ambar sees this and knows how grateful we are for our new little guy. Thank you Ambar! We are so happy with our fur baby!

This is a nice pet store. They allow you to play with animals in enclosed areas. They do offer payment plans if you decide to take a pet home. Staff is very helpful and nice.

I came in yesterday, and bought healthy dog extension food. The little containers were expired since August. Disgusting. Luckily, i looked this morning before i gave it to my dogs. U have 20 workers standing around, and they cant check the inventory. Joke, to charge people 5000 a dog there

I visited Petland this past week with the intent to buy some toys and supplies for my bunny. I was taking a look at the bunnies they had and noticed they were absolutely out of hay.I asked a male employee who seemed to be training another employee to give them some. His response was “they got fed this morning so I’m sure they’ll be fed tomorrow.” I responded by telling him that bunnies need to be fed an unlimited hay supply as that’s what keeps their digestive system working and therefore alive! I didn’t get a response and the display of animal cruelty left me in absolute tears. I left the store and called their manager who offered no apologies but said they would have someone check on the bunnies. I have also filed a complaint with their corporate office.For the owner: bunnies who are alive will bring in so much more money than the ones who will die a month after being brought home. Please properly educate your employees as well as the people adopting these little fellas. They need vet care. They need the proper food and exercise. And they need their unlimited hay. All of that brings you in money. I spend at least $700 a year on food, hay, and litter for my bunny. Bunnies live up to 10 years if they’re treated properly. That’s $7000 dollars you could be bringing in from every bunny you sell if they’re taken care of properly. I however, will not be part of that until I’m able to see changes in your care and treatment of these little guys.

Great selection of puppies. Friendly sales staff. I wasn’t expecting the price, which is on me. Bought a puppy 12 years ago for 1k (bulldog boxer mix) I was expecting to spend 500-1000. But after seeing a puppy that I fell in love with, I was advised of the price, $5900. The sales person, DJ saw the shock on my face and promptly told me that their puppies range from 3k-10k. That was way out of my price range. I asked the price of the puppy before we saw it and was told “we’ll go over that in a minute” they waited until we interacted with the puppy before telling us the price. A sales tactic that’s questionable. Overall they were friendly and accommodating and they take the time to source their puppies (not a puppy mill). Unfortunately that requires a price tag that was out of my reach and I had no idea going into it. Maybe advertise prices online?

Horrible vendor of pets. Their prices are sky-high and their payment arrangements are deceptive. They even labeled the puppy we got "Rone" colored even tho i found out that was a false tag just so they could charge more money. I will never buy a pet there again. Highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Paige at Petland Lewis Center is the BEST! She helped us navigate purchasing our first hamster and all the goodies we needed! An animal lover herself, she was extremely knowledgeable and shared personal experience on what to buy and what to save on! Speedy, our new hamster is happy at home with everything he needs!
