My dog(s) liked it & were clean when they came home the first few times, then as I was told they had a staff change & I believe the high school aged kids were taking care of the animals. My dog became very nervous & upset the next time I took him, came back absolutely filthy. I stopped taking him there then had to in a pinch several months later & the minute I turned down the road my dog once again became very nervous & agitated, when I tried getting him out of my truck his tail was tucked between his legs & he actually pulled out of his collar & ran around until I opened my truck door as if I were taking him back with me. I had to let him stay there that time as much I hated to, was filthy & very jumpy after I picked him up. I have never taken him back & now he is happy to go to Hopewell Kennels every weekend. I don't know what exactly turned him from not minding going to Punk Hollow to being very distraught when just turning on that road but I was very unpleased & if anyone there says I was never a customer I have 100% verification & have no problems posting it if my word is questioned. My response to the the reply from whoever, is that yes I did use your kennel (quite a bit actually) & yes I did give good reviews, UNTIL my dogs became very nervous & distraught & covered in their own urine & feces when I brought them home. And as for not contacting the owner; he was never there (at the lake is what I was told) only high school aged kids. And I took pictures of my animals covered in filth so if you would really like me to post those I would be more than willing. I see a pattern in Punk Hollow badmouthing anyone that gives you a bad review (damage control on your part, discredit the reviewer to make it look as if they are wrong). Thats somone that can not take honest fair criticism. Fact of the matter is that something changed that took my dogs from liking going there to absolutely not wanting to, so much so that it disturbed me & that is why I changed my review to 1 star & i will 100% post all those pictures of how my dogs looked covered in filth (they are time & date stamped). And if you really were concerned how come i never got a reply back until over a year later. I will also contact whomever I can about this kennel since they were doing what they must think of as standard when given a bad review. My dogs love going to Hopewell Kennel & are excited to go & come back normal not nervous or disgustingly filthy.

We had a horrible experience here. We boarded our dog here and when we picked her up she was filthy. She had clearly been laying in copious amounts of urine, her collar had bled onto her fur, she was just as skittish when we picked her up as when we dropped her off. She was skittish around meal times for a few days, and it took multiples of baths to wash off the smell of urine. We have since changed to a new boarder and we have not have any of these issues.

We have a yellow lab pup from this kennel and he is excellent. Smart and easy to train he is going on eight months old and we are already going back for another pup.

I got my Chocolate lab from Punkhollow and he is the sweetest boy. He does great with my small children and the family. I Wouldn’t trade him for the world!
