If you’re using Progressive Leasing make sure you Ask for Rob in flooring! That man definitely needs a raise! He seems to be the only one that knows how to do it or even speak to customers! The store as a whole is only 3 stars but Rob deserves 10 stars and more!Overall this store really needs to make sure their associates are trained properly! But way to go Rob!

I love this store. But the fact there's a lady named Rochelle that is very rude to other employees and if they do something wrong she's bound to let upper management know besides addressing the issue to the employees. I love Olivia and she is willing to help me every step of the way of finding help throughout the store! I'm not too impressed with the self checkout only and there is plenty of employees to open up a register.

IF YOU SHOP AT LOWE’S IN DEFIANCE BEWARE!!!!(Zero stars wasn’t an option)A couple of weeks back I went in to grab a few things. I was going to use the self checkout but the older guy urged me to go to his line, even after declining he insisted. So I did… He asked if I’d like to sign up to be a Lowe’s Pro Rewards Member. I told him no. He pulled out a piece of paper to show me all the benefits. “Plus you get a good parking space.” Then he showed me all his little smock bling for how many people he had signed up, so I agreed… (Speedy Rewards, Starbucks Rewards, Cabin Fever Rewards, Rite Aid Reward… Sure… why not…) He’s asking for my information and typing away. Then someone I knew started speaking to me and I was distracted. Then he says, “Click yes here, click here” (real fast talker) When he asked for my social I was like, ”wait a minute.” He assured me it was just used as my account number and that it was okay to provide it, so I did. I glance over as he typed in $5000. I said, “STOP!!!! What is that?” He said, “Oh nothing, it just asks us to put a number in there so I always put $5000.” I said, “Hold on! Cancel out of everything! Is this for a credit card?” He said, “Ummm… yeah, technically.” I was so mad, I walked out to avoid causing a scene. I complained later and a very nice lady called and apologized for him.Fast forwardThe other day a cashier said, “Would you like to become a Lowe’s Pro Rewards Member?” I said no, and they continued scanning. I asked them if Lowe’s had an incentive to get people to sign up and they do. The employee gets $15. I shared my experience with them and they said the guy is known for that. At one point he was praised for getting an extra $500 on one check. “They kind of count on him to get people to sign up. He just has a way of getting them.”First of all, he should be fired! You don’t mess with people’s finances or take out lines of credit without their knowledge. That would stay on their credit for years to come. I’m personally fixing up my house to sell and planning to buy another one. The last thing I want is anything new on my credit. Second, I’m no longer as mad at him as I am Lowe’s. Not only do they know he does it, they encourage him and incentivize it.End of rant… If you want to sign up for a credit card, have at it…if you don’t…stay aways from that guy!!!

I generally prefer Lowe's over other options in Defiance for its friendly associates and helpful atmosphere. However, my recent visit to the paint department was disappointing. No staff were available to assist, and despite multiple attempts and different employees promising to find help, no one returned to assist me. The one painting associate finally showed up out of nowhere only to tell me he was clocking out. He said he’d go try to find someone, but he quickly headed straight to the door out to leave. The situation escalated until I decided to leave for Menards instead. This experience fell short of the standard I've come to expect from Lowe's, and I hope it's an area they can improve on.

DO NOT get their credit card for the 20% off coupon because it will not work! And after they get you another coupon code that does work, it will not work on any sale items even though the verbiage in the fine print says it will. Chat agent sent me a whole different fine print than what is stated. Would have never got the credit card without the 20% off coupon code working for on sale items. Talked to agent next day and she said this is a very common problem (she was awesome and applied promo after purchase). How about you get your stuff together Lowe's...

I'm attempting to redo our basement with as little help as possible from my husband. I came into Lowes with lots of questions and the girl in the paint dept was very helpful as was Ann in tools (although, thankfully she helped me with a little bit of everything).

This is a long story but bear with me. The short version is Amanda who is in charge of operations at this Lowe’s is absolutely incredible and went way above and beyond today when no one else I talked to at Lowe’s would.About a month ago I ordered a washer and dryer set and a refrigerator for our home that was under construction. I set our delivery date for the day after we were to take possession and move in. Our closing date got bumped back to the same date our appliances were to be delivered at the last minute. Because of this I was literally 2 minutes late and saw the delivery man leaving my neighborhood as I pulled in. They only give you a 20 minute warning before they are going to deliver them and we needed about 35 minutes to get there. He said he couldn’t wait and told us to call the store to have someone come out to install them (we paid for installation).I called and they scheduled someone to come out for Saturday (today). We got a call and an email saying they would be coming out between 1-5pm. Please keep in mind me and my husband and our 5 children ages 1-10 are all living in the new house since Wednesday with no refrigerator or washer and dryer. We waited until 5pm and no one came. I called Lowe’s (general customer service not defiance Lowe’s) and they said no one was going to be making the delivery today.I called the Defiance Lowe’s to figure out what happened and someone connected me with Amanda. I eventually broke down to Amanda as I had been ping longed from one person to another at Lowe’s and no one seemed to care enough to help me settle this issue and get my appliances installed. Amanda called the distribution center in Indy and waited HOURS on the phone to tell them how I had been treated and to make sure they get someone out to install the appliances as soon as possible. She really went to bat for us. They called me and told me the employees who did not make the delivery had been penalized and offered us a credit to our account and told us specifically when they would be calling us to schedule coming out. We still have to wait until Monday to get them installed which sucks and is very frustrating but I am incredibly grateful for Amanda.You just don’t understand how much you can make someone’s day and help them to feel seen and cared for when you go above and beyond at your job. I wish all employees were like her! She is a fantastic employee!

Update:Got a quote at Lowes Perrysburg, OH for a Larson Platinum storm door. Associate there was fantastic in giving us a quote. The door was on sale thru Larson for approximately 2 more weeks. Wanted door to be shipped for pickup to the Defiance, OH store so needed to order it there. She printed off the quote so it would be a simple order (ordering a standard door but a color not in stocks on the floor). Defiance store associate was clueless on the entire order process. He finally found the door in the computer but said it was no longer on sale. He took us to the service desk and called the manager to ask about a price match. No one in the store realized this was an authorized 15% off from Larson thru Lowe's. Manager didn't bother to come to talk to us in person, just said she wouldn't honor our printout from the Perrysburg store. This particular Lowe's is notorious for hiring people not knowledgeable in their respective departments. Unless an emergency, we will not shop at the Defiance Lowe's any further. The Perrysburg and Holland Ohio stores are great, Defiance, not so much.We're finding more and more that Lowe's almost always hires the nicest, most helpful associates. We have found this to be true at the Defiance Ohio store as well as the store in Perrysburg Ohio. Lowes also has a signal at each department which calls an associate for assistance in that area. Its challenging to find someone to help you at the other big box store that is similar to Lowe's (starts with an M). Once you find an associate they almost never know their stock or can answer your question. I don't know where Lowe's finds their help but they are always fantastic with customer service. And they give a 10% discount to veterans - no mail in rebates!! Selection on some items could be better but as a whole they deserve 5 stars.

Purchased a fridge:-Sign said next day delivery, but at checkout told a week out due to not ordering by 3PM and not in stock.-Given a delivery day, not time, and told delivery would call the day before with a time range. Delivery range 8am-4pm M-F.-Received a message morning of saying estimated delivery within an hour to two. Three hours later, husband talks to delivery driver ("had the wrong address," was at local school two minutes from us).-Driver stated since Lowe's gave the wrong address and delivery time was 930, he was not delivering what we purchased. Our notifications have the delivery window as 930 and 100.-Driver said he had 930, has other deliveries, it would put him behind schedule and doesn't want to fall behind. Despite being within a mile of our home.-At 950, husband speaks to and sends a screenshot of our address/location in proximity to the driver. He said he was sitting at the local school.The driver sends a thumbs up and twenty minutes go by.-Driver then doesn't answer my husband's calls, so I called. Driver said it's passed the delivery window, to take it up with Lowe's and wouldn't be delivering our purchase.-We inform we'd be filing a complaint and the driver apparently sends a message citing feeling uncomfortable about delivering to us.-Customer service gave a $100 credit to the card we used for the purchase, rescheduled for Thursday delivery (I'm leaning towards cancelling the order) not comprehending I or my husband cannot just call off work to wait all day for a delivery again.First and last time I'll be using Lowe's for any major appliance or delivery purchase.

I feel at home at my Lowe's, and today was very relaxing. With help from a nice young store manager who is new to my home town I quickly had what I came in for. Then i strolled through the outdoor flowers, so relaxing, and look what I followed me home.

Only self checks are open inside whenever I’m there. I might have to start checking out at the garden center just to get a cashier to do it. The employee’s that oversee the self checkouts are never very friendly & actually kind of grumpy. Only very few employees at this location are ever very knowledgeable & helpful. The cashiers in lawn & garden are usually friendly & pleasant, and the paint department employees are usually pretty nice too. Im not really a big Menards fan, but if they can't get it more together here & also open some registers inside, I’ll be making the switch.

I just bought a house and normally I am pleased with the store, but after the problems we had with scheduling a floor installation and a very rude delivery driver with our new fridge today. I bought the flooring elsewhere and am installing it myself. Appliances will be purchased at other stores in the future. I will continue to shop for paint and tools, but not the other services offered by Lowes at this time.

The "you scan" would only accept a credit card so the empliyy told me to use the other scanner, but first they had to add paper. Once it scanned the item it would also only accept a credit card. Ended up going to the pro area where they would accept cash.

4 people up front but nobody working the registers? Self checkout only. They have time to talk but can't ring me out. Happens every time I shop here. Makes me not want to ever come back. Store has almost become a joke, even the employee's say the same thing to me when I bring up that checkout problem. Sad sad sad.

For any driver delivering here,the people here are awesome!!!and this lowes is crazy clean!!what I mean is everything is organized and put away and all the mulch is in rows and looked neat and plenty of parking.amber is truly top notch at keeping a tidy area!!!I've been out here 13 years and this is by far the most organized lowes I've been to.and for the record,I delivered treated wood and from the time I spoke to amber to the time I was fully unloaded it was exactly 13 mins.crazy crazy fast.thank you amber and crew!!!hope to be back someday.

I personally feel Lowe's is not competitively priced. Also this location has 20 handicap parking spots? All the years I've been going to this store they have never had more then 4 people parked in these spots. In my opinion 10 would be more then enough. If you want to drop in for a quick item you better be willing to go for a hike deap in the parking lot. 😆 🤣

Making a large purchase (washer and dryer) and they don't offer military discount. So I can get a candy bar for a discount but not an appliance. Guess lowes just kinda cares about us. Also there was a 10% off sticker on the actual set. But was told at the register it was for select machines, not that one. Ridiculous.

I love this store the workers are friendly and polite I bought my first washer and dryer Samsung fronter I ask them how soon I can get it delivered and they put me on the schedule for next day they even ask me about the warranty and I told them yes please and thank you I don't have any complains about this store I will be coming back thanks Lowe's for helping me out

The team in the store is great, but I will not be back to buy things. I had purchased 2 appliances to be delivered I was given a 12 hour window to be at the property when I called to determine the time window since I had not been called. I was given 15 minutes to be at a property, I asked for more time and they said we can't and left. The manager when I called and informed her didn't seem like she was going to let the higher ups know they have a problem with this company.

Our stove decided to stop working when my wife was making dinner. So we made the trip to Lowes and the associate working in appliances looked to see what they had in stock and then showed what was available to my wife and I. We picked the one that we wanted, the associate then brought it to our vehicle and helped us load it. I wish I would have remembered the associates name and she went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you Lowes.
