I love the perks and coupons I get with my Vital care membership. Staff are friendly and helpful, but it always feels like they need more people to help customers. Ali the trainer is amazing and so helpful! She is always willing to answer questions and provide advice.The only downside I’ve had is with the app. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone just trying to update my card on file!! Staff in the store should be allowed to do this for you in the computer system.It’s also somewhat frustrating to get prescription food with a written prescription and no one in the store knew how to upload it so I could order. Prescription food is only available by delivery and it feels like Petco is directing me towards getting my animals seen by a Petco vet.

This review is based mostly off of the store's quality when it comes to reptile/amphibian care.Their feeder insects are super low quality, usually half dead/rotting and grossly overpriced. Even when I get crickets, I'm not given any egg crate and many of them are already dead by the time I get home with them.More importantly, this Petco's care of their reptiles in store is completely unacceptable. I know the individual stores don't have much control over how they care for them, which is why I no longer support Petco. As of today, they had 4 veiled chameleons in a single tiny (improper) enclosure!!! That is completely unexcusable and anyone who knows anything about chams knows that they CANNOT be kept together. They are extremely sensitive and prone to stress related health issues - one of them also had horrible stuck shed and was rubbing itself against a grate in the enclosure. Great to know that Petco will be selling these overpriced unhealthy animals and recommending improper care.When I tried to ask an employee about it, they were rude and dismissive. Usually I can't even find an employee to help me either.Please stop supporting these chain pet stores. We need higher standards when it comes to caring for small animals - all animals deserve the best care possible and not to be mistreated to make a profit.

This is the second time I booked with this business, had prior, specific communication, and was turned away. Oh yea…….. I got the receipts too. The first time I put in the booking online that I just adopted him, he is a GSD, all records and medications everything up to date. Came from a home where two other smaller terriers made him kind of freak out and start barking but no history anywhere of violence to humans or even dogs. Just while he adjusts, a muzzle might help. I got a message you can see in the text thread saying they are happy to try if I believe he doesn’t truly need a muzzle. I said I do not believe he needs one, but the text shows we talked about the barking at dogs and being aware of when you are moving him so he doesn’t get face to face with other dogs out in the open etc. it’s all on the text.I show up, and was told he cannot be on any sedative for 24 hrs. As the pics and confirmations show it says that nowhere so I’m hearing this the first time I get there and they turn me away after I paid for an Uber both ways to get there.We made another appointment. There were some dogs in the shop so we navigated around them but he barked and kinda freaked out initially until he was corrected and immediately stopped but still sat there and barked here and there and whined because he could still see the dog right in the door way. She touched him all over he was not aggressive just exactly what I described in the text. Then it turned into “with the dogs we have we can’t deal with the stress it may cause. All dogs bark in a kennel space initially almost 100 percent of the time when a new dog comes in. It’s just cause he is a German shepherd and they didn’t want to deal with hearing him bark. This could have been so simple and I wouldn’t have wasted 2 trips. Don’t book him after you talk with me and the dog does exactly what I explained when he gets there when you were still “willing to try” there was not one situation in the grooming room this was all on the way where customers have their dogs spread about. She got to see him first hand and how quickly you can stop him getting worked up initially but he sat there and GSD dogs are vocal and whiny dogs so he kept making noise but never did anything unsafe to anyone. Twice they brought me out there, first without giving me all the info I needed, 2nd, just changing their mind based off info they already knew.I understand safety is paramount, but to not even bring him back to a cage on a lead to see if he settles in for a few mins with no access to dogs after you already knew this info???!!! Smells like rookie soup being slow cooked over there. It is breed prejudice and it’s not right at all.

One of the few places that sells my favorite kitty litter. And while I was there I found a whole new selection of ones to consider (as an alternative). Great staff, as well! And my kid really enjoyed seeing all of the animals, especially the ones with fur. Will definitely be back as my current pet store rarely has anything in stock.

I called yesterday to ask they offer walk-in pet nails trims. Very kind person on the phone told me yes, and the times and prices they offer. So I came in today hoping to get my dog's nails trimmed. Groomer took one look at my dog, asked how old she was, and when I told him she is 12 he said they couldn't trim her nails because it's a Petco policy not to service senior dogs who haven't been with Petco before because of potential health risks. It would have been nice to have been told that on the phone before bringing my dog over, but even after searching their website for this policy, there was no sign of an age policy or anything of the sort. Pretty frustrating.

I signed up my puppy for the puppy training class which was a 6 week course. I did not see anywhere it listed that the training was just in the store. We were in aisles that customers needed to go down and interrupted our training. This should be disclosed when signing up. The first day of 'training' was just a day where the trainer spoke for maybe 10 minutes and handed us a paper packet and that was it. The 6th training session was 'graduation' where we went in for 5 minutes, got a bag of dry dog treats, a certificate and a photo that cut the top of our heads off. It took longer for me to drive there than those two sessions were. I would suggest either doing away with the 6th 'class' and graduating in the 5th class at the end. Or running through all of what they learned one more time for the 6th class, asking if we had any questions, and then getting the certificate to make it worth everyone's time. I also would suggest asking the owner if the treats that the trainer is giving the dog are okay. Some dogs have allergies and such and that should be taken into consideration when giving out odd treats such as freeze dried fish.I did like the trainer that we had. She helped us a lot with questions in class and outside of class to help us with our puppy. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I did not sign up for any further classes there due to how the first set of 6 classes were handled and some were very unnecessary.

Favorite restaurant in town! Service is great, food tastes amazing! i would recommend seasoning the animals in a more authentic style but overall a great eating experience.

This Petco has many live animals which is kind of a bummer. But in addition to that, it also doesn't have much inventory beyond food like some other locations. Nothing inherently wrong with it, but there are bigger, more complete Petco locations!

Went to get my bulldog groomed, he got the standard bath + the holiday package and he looked great! He was super happy and his nails looked amazing. I can’t remember the names of who was working on 11/11/22, but they were all awesome! Will be back!

It was 3 days ago, walk in and seen dog throw up on the floor almost stepping in it i get it accident's happened but come on, I don't wanna see that when i first walk in. Went to the fish section seeing a cilcd attacking a big crawfish loosing its arm, yes i know it'll go back, yes i know its survive or die. I went and told someone about it having to wait almost 30 minutes within the 15 a couple was watching it happening i told them i told someone they didn't want it to go on any long so the couple removed the fish themselves and put it in a box for bagging. This is my favorite petco i go to i normally don't have a problem with this one im not trying to be a male karen or anything but please do better

Garbage person on the phone. Every question I asked was answered with such attitude and talking down to me and then I still said thank you and she just said alright and hung up. She told me to go to the website when I asked about her stock and then insulted me for not knowing they came in sleeves not boxes. My god. Please educate your staff on how to talk to people nicely. Going to pet supplies plus instead since my calling was so ridiculous to your staff. Sorry won’t happen again! :///

The groomer was hunter and she was very verbally abusive to my dog Zara calling her all kinds of “bitches” and handling her so aggressively! I had to take my dog out mid groom and speak to the manger . I did get a refund and she admitted that “she was the last one and she wanted to get out of there and apologized but that isn’t even enough for the anxiety my dog now has going to the groomers . No to mention when I asked if she could take her at first she said “well we’re about to close but I can still take her” which I felt very odd about in the beginning because she wasn’t forced at all it was a choice that she could’ve made and said no and saving my dog from these troubles she now has . Not to mention there is a problem with my online booking because of this incident at the olentagy location ! I honestly adore you to stay away from her ! Picture of my sweetest girl for attention . She honestly she be fired but nothing was done

I have lived in Ohio for about 8 months now. EVERY single time I come to this location all of the mealworms, wax worms and other reptile food are dead or old. I went this morning to get new food for my gecko and they had food from December still in the fridge. Like that’s literally the same food that was in there when I came last month… that is absurd. Petco clearly doesn’t care about my pet so why should they get my business. Doubt I ever come back.

My wife and I went here to get a tortoise and everyone was so helpful in answering our questions and helping us find the right things for the enclosure! They even told us how to save the most money. LOVE PETCO!

I have been going to this Petco for 2 years+, and I've always had as good of an experience at a pet store as one would expect (I only go to buy dog food). However, I ran out of dog food this morning so I placed an order on the app about an hour before the store had opened. I went right when the store opened, and an employee named Jess failed to let me in the door until 5 minutes after the official store hours opening time. She looked at me with a rude look when letting me in... but whatever, I brushed it off.I proceeded to ask an employee if I could go run and grab the bag of dog food I had ordered for pickup, because I assumed the employees hadn't had time to get pickups ready so early in the day. A nice employee, I believe named Luke, began assisting me immediately... but Jess overheard the conversation and interrupted me to say "leave and come back in 2 hours". I again told her that I would just go grab it myself, but she said I wasn't allowed and HAD to come back in 2 hours.I was prepared to just go buy an additional bag of dog food for $110 and come pick up the one I had ordered later (annoying, but doggo hungry!), but thankfully Luke felt more obliged to actually be helpful. I am a Petco loyalty member who pays $20/month and I shop there exclusively, but I am rethinking that choice after how rude Jess was. This review really doesn't do her behavior justice.. it was the most unpleasant person I have ever dealt with in retail shopping.I sure hope Jess isn't the manager, and would advise Petco to at the very least have a discussion with this employee. It really isn't that hard to have basic manners, especially in the retail store front side of things. That is literally your job. Thankful for Luke, but I may take my business elsewhere solely because of Jess' behavior. Do better, Jess & Petco managers.

The friendliest staff up front and the grooming folks are nothing short of brilliant. We bring both of our Aussies there for nails, ears, treats and toys. My only comment is I wish they had a better selection of toys made in the USA or Canada. Everything seems to be from China which is a hard pass. We love our dogs too much to take the risk.

I took my dog in to get a flea bath because he had a flea problem. I got him back and immediately saw a flea on him. I called back ASAP to inform them that there were fleas on him and they said they couldn’t do anything to help me. Waste of time and money and I will not be shopping here anymore.

These guys were awesome. I got a rescue husky mix who needed to be groomed BADLY (matted, lots of undercoat, untrimmed hair on feet, etc). I originally made an appointment and didn't realize his rabies expiration date was wrong, but they were able to reschedule me right away a few days later after his vet appointment without any fees. Then Hannah was great at explaining what she needed to do to get him all cleaned up. He was snappy and upset about the brushing, but she dealt with it amazingly and said she'd be happy to do him again in the future. If you have a very fluffy friend, definitely recommend Hannah to groom them! All the other staff were friendly and helpful throughout the store.

I went to this Petco on 8/19 to pick up my cat litter and other items I had for a pickup order. It said it would be ready for pickup today, which I thought was awesome. My wife and I drove to this Petco, but we’re told by the cashier, Haley, our order was not ready for pickup, and they decided to pick it tomorrow. I said if I can grab the items myself, which I have done before at other Petcos and for other orders. Ny, the closing manager, kept insisting that she can cancel my order if I didn’t want to wait for tomorrow. I told her it was urgent since I needed litter for my cats. It came to a point to where she kept mumbling things to herself about customers not knowing what they’re doing. I said I will pick up my order tomorrow then, and she said rudely that they open at 10am.I will be immediately contacting corporate and cancelling all of my vital care accounts with Petco. If someone reaches out, awesome. If not, it shows how little Petco cares.I honestly loved shopping there because of the savings, but if I could give 0 stars for this instance and store, I would.

The manager on duty was extremely rude and did not know the policies of her own store. I came in to ask for a refund on a cory fish that died within 7 days of purchase. She then rudely told me no because i did not have the dead body or a water sample. Never have I ever been required to bring the dead body back of an animal. on the receipt it only says it’s recommend I cannot say enough I will never return to this petco!
