Great company that I trust. Very thorough. I just had my air conditioner annual service. I used Help in the past. They always tried to upsell every opportunity they had. National Heating and A/C is the real deal from booking the appointment to the actual work. Every person I have dealt with is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I will never use anyone else.

Excellent experience all around. Communication from the company was timely and complete. My service technician Chad Wilson was very knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. I had a lot of questions, having just moved into a house with systems that were unfamiliar to me (geothermal, radiant heat). Chad answered all my questions and spent extra time helping me figure out how to program and control various elements of my system.

Yesterday's technician was great. Found the problem right away. Seems that Tyler, the previous technician in June, turned off the gas valve on the furnace when he did his service call and never turned it back on. So in October, NO HEAT! Still had to pay a trip charge yesterday for this mistake. Should I go with someone else next time?I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT NATIONAL MADE THIS RIGHT WITH ME.

Love the geothermal unit BUT it has been a YEAR and if they don't respond to me (I have left 2 messages) about resolving how their contractor left our front yard, after he dug the trench for the unit, I WILL HAVE A BIG ISSUE. We paid them A LOT of money and expressed concern about this from the beginning. They said it would "settle." It hasn't. Now they need to address it.

They did a good job installing 2 new units for our home. However, after spending close to $20,000 with them, you would think that there would be some free maintenance checks in the year to follow. Our heating and air was installed a year ago. Today they texted me that it’s time for a maintenance check and when I called to schedule that I assume this would be included for a while with warranty but they want me to pay $421 twice a year. Definitely soured the company.

Today Nelson Comfort installed a replacement four-inch Aprilaire Media passive air filter to replace the 20-year old electronic air cleaner. They also installed an "I-Wave" ionizer internally to the airducts at the furnace, which cleans the air and kills pathogens. So the house should have cleaner air and also provide a measure of safety even against the COVID virus, which apparently the I-Wave will kill on contact.The technician Tyler was right on time at 8:00am and finished his work ahead of schedule. He showed me the installation and his work and is very professional. I would recommend the company and their services. their technicians are always politeand respectful of the house and wear booties and masks as well.Today is another day, 3.17.22. Matt came out and arrived at 7:50am, right on time. I am remodeling the lower level family room, which on the last remodel did not include supply ductwork for heating and cooling. Matt installed two supply ducts and one return duct, and closed off an supply elsewhere and made a couple of other small repairs. He was very attentive, listened carefully, and took care of the little details. He was outstanding. Very pleased, Finished by 11:10am.Service: HVAC duct & vent installation

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! Not only did they show up extremely late but they misdiagnosed our AC issue and attempted to overcharge. They did not initially mention a service charge during the call and sprung it on us after our quote. Our parts were under warranty but they quoted $1,400 solely for labor. The labor entailed changing a small part that would have taken no more than 15 minutes. They told us our system required 9lbs of refrigerant where it clear as day says 4.5lbs on the system. Deliberately tried to take advantage of a family with a baby who desperately needed their AC repaired. Inexperienced and unqualified technicians. Paid $85 for them to tell me all the wrong things. Look anywhere else.

My experience with Nelson Comfort was positive from beginning to end. I have a 100 year old home that did not have central AC on the 2nd or 3rd floors and no simple way of installing it. The salesman , Greg, came up with a very creative way of positioning and installing all of the system components in closets and crawl spaces. These details were fine tuned by Greg returning to our house with an installer before ordering materials. When the work started we had 2 foreman, Keith and Elijah, and their crews working on our job. The foremen were polite, knowledgeable and hardworking. Their apprentices were polite and respectful as well. Working in a house such as ours with wood lath and plaster walls and ceilings is messy, but the crews did their best to minimize the dust and debris and cleaned up well each day. I am in the commercial construction business and know when a job is done well (or poorly). Our job was definitely done well. Let me start off by saying the Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Technicians were very friendly. After 1 year of living with the system they suggested & installed and the 7 follow up visits to correct installation issues, I wouldn't recommend their service. As I can only compare my new system to my old system, my new system is more energy efficient, but its outdoor component is louder and can be heard when inside. I now also have areas inside which have hot or stale air, which was not an issue with my previous system.I experienced questionable tactics, which includes the installation of a differing component (thermostat) then my accepted quote, which is a lower quality/price point, without any notification or adjustment. As multiple Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Technicians visiting my residence multiple times corrected one issue after another, I researched the system they suggested and installed. It appears in my situation they didn’t follow HVAC industry or Manufacturer best practices, which includes the installation of a new line-set with new systems and or may not have had working knowledge of Lennox International systems. In my situation, reviewing the Manufacturer's Installation instructions, my existing line-set was undersized, which I believe may have limited my system's cooling effect. This then caused an additional expense, which I believe should have been included in the original quote. As my system malfunctioned in late June 2022, without any prior issue, I was relying on Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. to provide service in a timely, accurate and trustworthy manner. With my last issue (June 2023), I had to reach out to Lennox International for assistance as a previous Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Technician had made an incorrect adjustment, causing my system to not fully operate and another Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Technician did not have knowledge to investigate or correct the issue.I was also disheartened to learn that the 0% Interest financing they offered entailed a $1500 finance charge, which was not disclosed by the Sales Representative. As I didn’t need financing and could have paid out of pocket, learning of a finance fee added to the frustration I experienced with Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co.. This fee was only noticed when reviewing my online statement, which included a breakdown, which I would believe would not have been accessible until after services were rendered.With all these issues and visits, I received no additional follow up or apology from Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Staff. My only communication with Management was when I called in and requested they call me back, which only resulted in another Technician returning to investigate one of the many issues.I look forward to Nelson Comfort / National Heating and Air Conditioning Co. reaching out to me directly to address my concerns, which I will then provide an update to my review.9/20/23 - UpdateThe company contacted me and had the Lennox Field Rep. come out to verify the system was functioning as designed. I have given up on this company and will be contacting another HVAC to further investigate my concerns. While not always occurring, whenever the AC turns on a loud jolt/bang is heard throughout the house, which I would have to now believe is related to how the lineset enters the house. Outside the lineset is separated by at least 2 inches with mortar separating the lines. Inside the house the lineset enters together, and slightly twisted together. This is the second review I've written for Nelson Comfort & I'll likely continue giving this company glowing reviews for the professional work they provide. The first time I met a Nelson Comfort agent I was letting them into my sister's house, who was currently in the hospital delivering her first child, to fix her AC. Nelson was extremely empathetic & came to the rescue ridiculously quickly. Fast forward a little over a year later & my husband & I are in almost the exact same situation. We were eight months pregnant needing a sudden full HVAC replacement. Both experiences I worked with Spencer who is willing to go above & beyond to give you an honest & fair assessment. He's willing to take the time to fully investigate the issue before determining a fix, which is very rare in the HVAC business. Prior to becoming a Nelson customer, we hired a different company to do a wellness check. However, within moments of walking in our door & after a brief two to three minute assessment the representative attempted to sell us a new full HVAC. We still had three good years left before needing to make that investment & we're very glad we became connected with Nelson Comfort before that time came.

Very honest and respectable company. Had an issue with billing that included unapproved work from a technician. The company was fair about the work and removed it from the bill. All the office staff members were super respectful and prompt about addressing issues. After the system was fixed, there was a new issue that occurred. They sent out their tech promptly to address the issue. Overall, we will be using this company again should we need further work due to their phenomenal customer service.Service: A/C system repair

Had Nelson come out twice for two different heating issues. First time, they were unable to do anything and I paid the service fee. It happens, all good. Second time, I noticed our furnace was intermittently short cycling and wanted to get it checked out before extreme weather hit later in the week. They came out Monday and said everything looked fine and I paid to service the unit. By Friday, the outside temp drops to negative digits and we were sitting in our 50 degree house with space heaters and a no heat. I call them up but never got through to anyone after multiple tries. Okay company. Friendly technician. However they charge a trip fee every time they come out. If it was a one and done trip fee it wouldn’t be a big deal, but they came out and didn’t have the part to fix it and would have to go to the warehouse to get it so I would be charged another 128 dollars to go get the part which is not cool. Any service done on the same day should only be one trip fee in my opinion.Service: Heating system maintenance

A/C repair service for a unit they sold and installed for me several years ago. They were easy going on the phone and onsite. They listened to me and worked with me (i didn't want to void my warranty, fixing a repair i could of handled on my own technically, by ordering a generic matching part online) w2They fixed the problem I had diagnosed quickly once they made it out here to service the unit.. I would of subtracted a star for that in my review, except I filled out a thing on their website for a free service call with any repair. The part was under limited warranty for 10 years. I ordered the unit 4-5 years ago. They indtalled it and carried parts on service vehicles for these Trane A/C units. In my case it was a bad capacitor for the outside fan. Onsite test and repair took 30 minutes or less and I only paid the limited warranty (predefined) price for that part, and the service call fee waived (for free). So, we were back up and running in no time after that. Been fine the last few days since the repair and it's only gotten hotter outside each day since. Thank you!

I've used Nelson Comfort ever since I moved in 14 years ago. Every single person at this company presents themselves in a professional manner and always leave the job site better than they found it - that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. They'll answer you straight even if it's not in their best interest as a company - and often I find that their advice on next steps or equipment choices ends up being the decision I'd make myself. Besides A/C, in the past they've also installed a thermostat and a furnace for me - all top notch jobs. The most recent gentlemen I've had here (Matt, Mike and Eric) all were great to work with. Update:Another outstanding job done! My aging central A/C died at the start of a heat wave. Nelson Comfort exceeded again: Better quality equipment for less cost than the competition, installed promptly despite the busy season. They left everything tgey touched clean and tidy. The new system is performing perfectly. I shouldn't even bother asking other installers for quotes: Nelson Comfort is The Best!Previous review:I took bids from four installers for my new HE natural gas furnace, and Nelson exceeded all others. Courteous and helpful salespeople, by far the best equipment for the price, and they were energetic and flexible on the installation. They are at the top of my list for future installations, upgrades, and service.

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Nelson Comfort. The service technician from Nelson Comfort was courteous, polite and very knowledgeable. He showed up right on time and quickly fixed the problem I had with the air conditioner in my new house, and he took the time to explain and show me what I could do to prevent the issue from reoccurring in the future. Nelson managed and installed Geothermal at my house which was totally renovated. The new system has been great and Nelson was extremely patient with me while renovations were going on. They worked around my schedule and made some good suggestions on changes to make while renovating. Our house is much more comfortable and even temperature. The geothermal works great, is very quiet and extremely efficient. I have already saved a bunch of money on heating costs from last year to this year and look forward to the lower power bills in the future.Thanks for all the great service and suggestions!
