Mom ‘n ‘em is truly a gem in Camp Washington. Their avocado toast is a personal favorite and my favorite places to get it in the city. When the weather is nice, they have a wonderful little area to sit outside. They are a little on the pricier side (a coffee and breakfast run me about $22, where as maybe other places I could get coffee and a light breakfast for around $15) but is well worth the quality of the coffee and food. Also a great place to get tined fish, if you’re a fan. Love coming here to catch up with friends or work remotely.Dietary restrictions: Milk alternatives, can alter items if u have allergies. Had a close call with their granola bc it has nuts in it, but they replaced the item with no hesitation and no charge

Great spot with decently good coffee and the best avocado toastie I have had so far. The dirty Naty sandwich is also very good. We tried the honey latte and mocha. They also have the option of some selected pastries. Overall it's a great cafe the only drawback I felt is that it's a little expensive. The avocado toast alone costs $12, without an egg. If you can afford it you should definitely try it out.

I tried this coffee shop for the first time today because I was looking for one on the way to a gig, and was not disappointed!Extremely relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space both inside and outside. I initially thought the inside was just a small ordering area with some seats, which was a nice space as it is, but then rounded the corner and found 3 other spaces inside, which was a cool surprise 🙂.There's plenty of cozy seating areas and the music selection was really great with a lot of music I haven't heard in a long time! 😍In addition, the people working there were wonderfully pleasant 🤗.Some of the food and drinks were higher priced than I'd typically pay, but definitely worth the price! The flavors of everything I had were delightful and delicious ❤️😌. And on top of that, they had a huge variety of items to choose from, which is always a bonus in my mind. The only thing that was a little difficult was finding parking in the area but obviously that's less outside of their control, and I just had to walk a little further so even with that, not too big a deal.I would definitely recommend checking out this spot if you haven't before!

It honestly pains me to write this review because I/we love their Madisonville location - always a 5-star experience. We came here for Mother's Day and their 4-year anniversary. It was our first time at this location, but we decided to make the drive and give it a try due to the special menu - we live closer to the Madisonville location.I feel like people were just as friendly and the service just as good. The food was below their standard at the other location and I thought the portion/cost for the menu was sub-par.The porchetta was dry, the exterior was not crunchy like porchetta should be but leathery, and it was not filling - it did have decent flavor. The asparagus was cooked just right - not overcooked and still some snap. It was $19 for that plate pictured, not including a tip. I would have expected another slice? Or maybe add something else to go with it - like potatoes or bread. My father had the classic breakfast which was $16 and it looked quite a bit more filling. The rhubarb danish I had that day was also a little off. The custard was a bit eggy - both texture and flavor. Again, disappointing because items like their Pain aux Raisin and their Olive Oil Cake have been great.Coffee was still good, but I think we had expected ceramic ware like the other location. However, we understood the convenience of disposables given most people were outside and it was quite busy.Unfortunate experience here, but that won't deter us from frequenting Madisonville.

Stopped for coffee, cookie and croissant. Coffee was good as was the treats. The service was ok.It was a bit disappointing that there were so few tables the could seat four and all those were taken by singles. We made a tiny table work and enjoyed the time we spent there. It would be better to come here during warm weather as they have an awesome patio space.

Lovely, just lovely. Hipsterish. Bohemian Vibes. Earthy. Bright. Clean. Delicious pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Tasty iced mocha came in a mason jar (so hipster but I love it so…) We walked in for the first time today and I felt like I was walking into my friends cozy house. In terms of sitting in on a rainy day like today there is a seat for whatever your preference; Little cozy nooks and crannies; Couches for lounging; or sit at the bar or communal farm table in the kitchen. I’m going back for more - I can’t believe I’ve never been before!

Visited Mom 'n 'em on a Saturday afternoon and had an enjoyable time with a couple of cups of coffee and an egg and bacon sandwich. The place was very busy and had a nice vibe. The staff was very friendly and we were fortunate enough to be able to speak with one of the owners about their motivation and dreams. They have a passion for good service, good food and remaining an independent small business. We need more like them. Stop by and try this little oasis. You will be glad you did.

I love this place! They have a lot of great beverage options, including beer, cocktails and even a boozy milkshake. This visit, I had yogurt with homemade granola, strawberries and almond butter. Plus a nice espresso martini. Very relaxing, whether you sit outside or in their lounge areas.Good food includes breakfast sandwiches, baked / toasted breads, and an excellent selection of tinned fish and other tinned seafood.I highly recommend the Smoked Mackerel, Almond Butter & Banana Toastie, and Franklins Coconut Cold Brew - maybe not all in one sitting tho. Also, if you join their coffee and / or wine club they will deliver nationwide (with optional pickup + extra in-house perks for the latter).

Bright and spacious with a variety of indoor and outdoor seats for a comfortable hangout by yourself or with friends. Beautiful decor, geometric wall art, exposed bricks, and vintage charm. I visited on a Friday morning, warm atmosphere and a nice vibe, there were many customers in the cafe but it was still quiet. Good service and friendly staff. Theresa, the owner, is welcoming, warm and delightful to talk to. I had a cup of cappuccino and chia pudding there, bought a ham cheese croissant and a small nut cake to go, all delicious. The chia pudding is a rare find here in Cincy and I really enjoyed it and appreciate the artfully presentation. I hope to visit again soon and highly recommend it.

This is a great and unique coffee shop. I just recently discovered it, but it is such a bright and welcoming place and they make a great coffee. It feels like a warm home with lots of different places to sit and talk or get some work done. Friendly staff, too!

Cannot get tired of this place. Coffee is phenomenal, pastries are phenomenal, super cool vibe and after going a few times you start feeling like family. I haven’t had a coffee that I don’t like. Croissants are very fresh and flaky (always). Avocado toast, one of the best, if not best in Cincinnati. No wonder why it was ranked one of the best coffee shops in the state of Ohio!

I’ve been a die hard Mom n ‘em fan for about a year now. I said it then and I’ll say it forever, best coffeeshop in the city and honestly my favorite coffeeshop anywhere in the world. 1. Family business, you gotta love it, mom is literally taking your order making your coffee or toastie every time I go in 2. The quality of the coffee and food 3. The vibe of both locations is like big warm hug, and that’s what I look for in any place I frequent I want to feel at home and welcomed. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a bite to eat is about slowing down and enjoying the company you are with, and there is truly no better place to do that at than Mom n ‘em. Ps. Their lunch spot Fausto is a must go to in the city as well!

Visited this coffee shop based on a recommendation from Google maps. Pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food, coffee, and staff. All of the baristas were really friendly and made good recommendations for a first time visit. My avocado toast tasted great and filled me up for the morning which was reasonably priced. If you come to visit there is a very small lot behind the shop so expect to park on the street. My only gripe was the speed on how I got my food but I'm sure it'll speed up as time goes on since they opened last month.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere (as in there's nothing else immediately around it other than residential) but is 100% worth the trip and drive to check out. You can almost drive right by without knowing it's even there. It has a massive, well thought out patio and really unique inside area that's built out of an old house. Every space on the first floor has a different feel and it's very easy to find somewhere cozy and quiet. Obviously, it's a coffee shop so let's talk about the coffee - it's really good. A lot of places within a 5 minute drive of downtown have pretty decent coffee, but I would definitely set this place above most if not for the atmosphere and coffee, for the food. The egg sandwich and avacado toast are honestly the best looking and tastiest I've had at any coffee shop in this city.

Absolutely love! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing - but the food/coffee is bomb! Highly recommend the honey latte and avocado toast. If you’re coming by yourself, coffee meet up, a date, no reason whatsoever....just come visit because - well, coffee. I read one google review below that mentioned people taking Instagram selfies and that’s why she gave less stars 🤷🏼♀️ Absolutely crazy! If a beautiful place to photograph - yourself, your kids, your wife, the bear they create in your latte - makes you want to stay home and stare at your coffee pot - then sure - stay away. I can’t wait to come back and bring all my friends and family!

First time here and the staff was super friendly. I got the franklin's coconut cold brew with oat milk and it was SO GOOD! I also decided to get a breakfast sandwich so I picked the "dirty nati" samich and it was MESSY but delicious. I like my egg samich with an over easy egg and it was just that, runny and perfect! If you're on the area make sure you check this place out. The interior decor is also super cozy and welcoming.

This pic may not be the prettiest, but I’m having an ugly delicious moment with this egg sandwich. Mom n em is a beautiful little shop with tasty coffee and this wonderful gem of a breakfast sandwich. I’m a firefighter and whenever I’m working in the area I make an effort to stop through for a sandwich and a coffee. The staff is super friendly and focused on being involved in the neighborhood. They have a fine selection of wine and cocktails as well. I really can’t recommend this place more.

I'm from out of state and thought I would try this out. I'm a very picky eater and this was AMAZING. I scarfed down my avocado toast and honestly could say I'd go back for seconds if this wasnt so filling. The coffee was done exceptionally, I loved it.Vegetarian options: Avocado toast! Say less, right?Dietary restrictions: Alternative milks availableWheelchair accessibility: Ramps available to enter, good amount of space inside to sit in a wheelchair without being too cramped.

The coffee and pastries are lovely, but the decor is what makes this place iconic. This family-owned business always warms my heart. The conversations I’ve had with the staff here are always meaningful. Truly a gem of cincinnati. Much love for these guys!

My fav cafe in Cincinnati!! Staff is friendly, interior is stylish and comfortable. Coffee is always delicious, especially hot lattes. Food is SO good and I’m never disappointed. Get the avocado toastie or Sammy! Great vibes and seeing Mom is the best!

This place makes me want to move back to Cinci. Fantastic espresso drinks, wine, in an eclectic old home. If you’re lucky you’ll get served by Mom herself. Also, they have a great collection of designer chairs to plop down in while sipping on some liquid gold.

Fantastic fare! Great place to stop & chat over a wonderful drink and great food. Love the atmosphere as well as the people. It was a little dreary the day we visited, but they have a beautiful outdoor seating area. Give them a try!

We were just looking for a place to get coffee on our way home and this came up in Google. It was an awesome find! Kind of randomly located, which I always love because it feels like finding a hidden gem. It is inside a cool house with a really extensive outdoor patio so you don't feel squished with other patrons.Going inside it felt really warm. They had an interesting menu. Staff were really chill and friendly - even had some fun banter with the barista.Definitely on the pricier side. Seems like that is what you pay though for the vibe, space, and quality of food/drink.
