I am a Cincinnati native and this was my first time visiting the Lucky Cat Museum! They don't do advertising, so I heard about it from a friend and knew I had to check it out!Admission was free, which is awesome! The owner was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She was very attentive, but at the same time let us wander around and explore on our own.The museum is not super large, it's the owners personal collection. It took me about 45 minutes to look at everything. There's so much to see in a small space, the more you look, the more you see. There's also a gift shop!! The prices were very fair as well.Donations are accepted, so don't forget to bring some cash!!I'll definitely be telling friends about this hidden gem! 😻

Pictures won’t do justice to this place. You must be there to really experience it. This is authentic passion for maneki neko to the extreme. I truly admire this passion. She freely share her lifetime collections with anyone who is interested. This is my favorite place in Cincinnati!

This place was AMAZING!!! I went here with my family and everyone had a great time. There were also hands on actives for younger kids. There were tons of cats in the collection and the owner was very friendly. She explained a lot about the history of the lucky cat and the culture. She could even explain the history of certain pieces of the collection as well. My personal favorite was the disco cat. Everyone should visit here! (=^・ω・^=)

Lovely family day out. On Friday May 27, 2022, my 6 year old granddaughter & family stopped in, the owner greeted us at the door (good thing I would have gotten lost in the building lol). We did make reservations ahead of time. Super fun time. It is an amazing collection for all ages. I loved this museum so much. I had a happy feeling the whole time I was there. It's a small place but worth the visit. So much to look at. There is also hands on items for kids to touch throughout the museum. It took us about an hour and 15 mins to walk thru, but I am very slow at looking at everything! Average person could be done in about 45 mins. This is a hidden gem.Do not forget to buy something in the gift shop AND leave a donation/tip! 🐈🐱

This place is awesome! It’s pretty small but there are SO many cats here. They are all different and there are a lot of unique pieces. The owner was super nice and was more than happy to share information about all the cats. Is not very big, but we spent about an hour here. Just be aware that you need to make an appointment before visiting. Highly recommend!

Bit misleading. By the title you'd assume it's a museum but it's more of a collection inside a small room. We were done in 10 minutes. Based of all the positive reviews we expected more. Was unfortunately a let down.It was a nice collection, the owners clearly were very passionate. Just don't go expecting a museum that's a 'hidden gem' in Cincinnati lke everyone is saying in the reviews. I left a picture, this is the entire MUSEUM. Unique collection 5/5, just don't get all the hype from the reviews.

As a Cincinnati resident, I was thrilled to finally have the chance to visit the Lucky Cat Museum on my recent visit to the ArtWalks event at Essex Studios. Being that the museum does not advertise much, I was grateful to have learned about it through a friend's recommendation. Despite its small size, the museum truly packs a punch with an impressive collection that is sure to captivate visitors. From the moment I walked in, I was in awe of the array of lucky cat figurines, paintings, and other works of art that filled the space. Each item is a testament to the owner's passion and devotion to this fascinating aspect of Asian culture. As I made my way through the museum, I found myself continuously discovering new and unique pieces. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gift shop on my way out, offering a selection of affordable souvenirs that would make great gifts for family and friends. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my visit to the Lucky Cat Museum and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in a fascinating cultural experience. Don't forget to bring some cash as donations are accepted and greatly appreciated!

Omg a cat lover's dream!! My friends and I adored this quirky museum! The experience was absolutely adorable and we all got the cutest cat goodies from the gift shop. I would even go back just to show it to people who haven't been because it was a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend!

Super cute place and very fun! The people there are friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibit! Interactive, free fortune cookie, a cute little gift shop too! Does not take very long to read and look through everything but it’s very neat! I had a lot of fun even though it’s small, it was still worth the trip :)

Delightful! That’s all my daughter kept saying after we visited. The museum is delightful! It’s the owner’s personal collection of all things cat. It’s in a small space in the Essex Studios. It may be a bit hard to find, just follow the signs. There are interactive pieces or you can just marvel at the variety of different cat sculptures there are. It’s by appointment only so you need to make a reservation but there may be walk-in times available if you check. It’s free to enter but you can also donate and there’s a small gift shop with more unusual cat items. It’s worth a visit if you like to see something out of the ordinary or if you just like cats.

Loved this place so much! I forget the womans name who runs this place, but she is so nice and her place looks like a mystical store down a Japanese alleyway you will find by chance in the middle of the night!! Go and see her and ask questions, shes more than willing to talk to you about her passion for japanese lucky cats.

This eclectic little museum is a hidden gem! There is something for everyone to enjoy/learn approximately age 5+ (there are some delicate things). The woman working was so kind! We homeschool and one could easily create an interdisciplinary unit study for this museum including a segment on geography, art, and history. There is also a gift shop that has a full range of great gifts at reasonable prices considering there is no admission fee.

This was a gem of a museum! The collection is so much more than I expected. The reach of the lucky cat as an international icon is well captured in this exhibit. So worth a stop to see for any traveler.

Went here with my husband and toddler. We had a wonderful time. When you park, look for the cat cut out near the glass doors. There is a door bell there, once you press it, someone will come and let you in. We were a little lost when we first pulled up but we called and the owner answered and let is in right away. Wonderful and beautiful art work is here and gave is all a new appreciation of lucky cats.

Admission is free. Give yourself an hour or more to go through. Depends on how much you read about the cats. Place is small but totally awesome. Small gift shop. Prices are a little high but nice items to purchase

This is a really cool space if you're looking for an off the cuff museum. Micha, the owner, is really nice and will answer your questions. It's her personal collection along with items gifted from artists around the world. There are a few interactive items in the small space. I easily spent almost an hour here looking at all the little pieces.

Sweet little shop about as big as a living room. Requires some detective skills to find! But totally worth the smile that this place will bring!

Such a cute museum! It may look small on the outside, but it's packed full of gorgeous art, figurines, and so much more. Could easily spend several hours looking at all of the beautiful things and speaking to the lovely owner Micha. Cute gift shop with reasonably priced goodies and nice bathrooms in the building. Highly recommend! :)
