I can't say enough how much we love this local small business dealer. Dan the man tech has helped out servicing my Stihl chainsaw getting it tuned, chains sharpened, then 1 on 1 showing me how to maintain and what to expect with usage.Julie sold me my Stihl backpack blower with thorough details on these units, assisting me with smile and enthusiasm.Recently stopped in last Saturday with my family and needed a new lawn tractor. Again the entire family staff were so great showing us the models, features, options. Once we had one picked out and purchased they set up free delivery with a specific timeand the delivery wasn't a minute late. Excellent on point, on time, quality dealer. I will not purchase again from big box stores.Great family owned with excellent customer service and integrity!*Thank you ALVORD'S*

This is not the first piece of lawn equipment I have purchased from Alvords, but it is the highest $$$ amount. I added an exmark zero turn to the collection and couldn’t be happier. I tried calling a few of the other local shops (I didn’t even get a call back from one of them), when I spoke to Bill, I told him my budget & what I wanted & he was able to put me into a better mower than I had imagined!!

I wish I could have separate ratings for product (1*) vs personnel (5*).Pleasant, friendly people. Not happy with the brand new zero turn Toro Lawn Tractor. We purchased a new riding lawn mower so we would not have repair issues and a bottomless money pit. The new mower was delivered on 4/21/16. From day one, the plastic grass chute cover folded underneath itself when we backed up.This Spring (2017) the lawn tractor would not start. My husband had to trouble shoot it to get it started. He thought it may have been loose connections in the fuse area. In May, 2017, the plastic oil cap blew off, spewing hot oil all over me, the mower and surrounding yard furnishings. The second time it happened, the entire oil filler tube blew out of the engine! Again, spraying everything and me with hot oil. The third time it happened, I called Alvord’s. They picked up the unit, fixed it, replaced the grass chute, power washed it and returned it to us.On June 26, 2017 the tractor would not start, again. I called Alvord’s and they ran through a trouble shooting list of things to try. We finally had to take the battery to an auto supply place and have it tested. The battery was bad. It’s not under warranty (6 months), so we had to replace the battery.The paint is now chipping off the mower deck and rusting. This tractor is approximately a year old. We’re still making payment on it. It’s only been used eight months. I am very displeased with everything that has happened. I hope this is the end of our problems with this mower.On a happier note, I had asked to have the blades sharpened when the mower was picked up and pay for the service. Mr. Alvord graciously included the blade sharpening as a courtesy.UPDATE: 2021 the wheels don't turn at the same speed. The rear left wheel spins faster than the rear right wheel and it tears up the lawn. It leaves huge, ugly ruts in the yard! This mower is a piece of junk. Won't buy from Alvord's again.

Great Customer Service! Recently purchased two Stihl chainsaws. I thought I needed to buy bigger saws, but they assured me that I didn't. And they were totally right!!!! They could have just sold me the more expensive saws, but they took the time to understand what I would be doing, and paired two perfect saws for me. Will be back for any equipment purchases in the future!

Absolutely amazing service! I was referred by a friend and have been treated like a long time customer ever since. I literally drive an hour from my home and pass countless other power equipment dealers just for their service. I walked into Alvord's today with an older BR600 backpack that I wanted to order a part for the nozzle assembly. The young lady behind the counter disappeared for a few minutes with my leaf blower. She soon returned with it REPAIRED enough (with a new part..although not the correct part) to get me through the weekend so I can continue doing leaves while a new part is on order. I wasn't looking for a repair, just to help order the correct part. Now, that my friends is the definition of amazing customer support. I know they can't do this for everyone. But, here I am six hours later still can't believe this happened.Why would you NOT shop here? Thank you Alvords team...

Great people, knowledgeable. I was having issues cutting down hundreds of trees, constant chainsaw issues on my farm. Every other business would not help just put us in a line that we had to wait weeks to months to get them maintenance on. Well this shop right here, I walked in and I'm not going to say that they can do this all the time maybe I came in at a good time for them, but fixed my saw right up. Got me the right chain and bar I needed. The ones they sell u at home Depot of Lowe's are not the correct sizes. When I do turn pro with my tree service, this is my home shop. I will be getting a Pro Stihl chainsaw. Great people, great service. May be a small shop but let me tell ya, that's the best route to go not these huge ones you wait a month for service.

Alvord's has helped me out on several occasions. First they can get me parts for my 1980's Wheel Horses and secondly they can get me parts for my Husqvarna Chain Saw so I decided, since I need a back pack leaf blower this was the first place I was going to go. Needles to say I am a very happy customer once again.

Great experience! Took my 1989 Husqvarna 51 there to fix a broken drive sprocket an hour before they closed. I thought I would have to leave it for a week but they had the part and installed it as well as checked and reset my brake assembly. They only charged me $15 for the repair plus the cost of the part which was only $7. Very friendly and personable staff. I would definitely recommend them and drive 12 miles out of my way past local dealers to go there again.

Great store, awesome people, awesome service. I've been going to alvords since I was 15 and they ALWAYS take care of me, I honestly feel like family. No doubt will they treat anyone like family when you walk in and genuinely will direct you in the right direction. You almost would expect inconsistent service due to human nature but I promise you every single time you walk in you will get a great additude from any employee and they truly are here to help you. Alvords is a family owned great buisness that puts you first and there is nothing they can do better. I drive 35 miles each way, passing a Stihl dealer 15 miles closer to go to Alvord's. Always pleasant, knowledgeable and doesn't hammer you on shipping fees for special orders. They have have earned a loyal customer just by treating people well.

Stopped in on a Saturday to look at a zero turn mower. Bill Alvord was very knowledgeable and provided details of the differences between the models available. He asked questions about the intended use for the mower and provided a good recommendation that fit our budget. He also gave good details on what maintenance would be required to maintain the mower. It was a great no pressure experience that educated me in the process.

This sounds like a well respected business and should not risk their good reputation by being affiliated in any way shape or form with STIHL. DROP THE STIHL LINE !!! You guys are better than that
