I was so disappointed that my dog turned out like that it seem like they only worked with other dog breeds. Not every breed looks good with the same hairstyle. I was surprised that they couldn’t work with such a small dog. With my experience I will never take my dog here at petco upper Arlington. It was a really bad experience

WARNING!!!! DO NOT take your pet to be groomed here!!! My friend took a dog that he is fostering (Melvin) to be groomed. He got a call that Melvin needed to be rushed to the Emergency Vet because he was BLEEDING PROFUSELY and PETCO couldn’t get it to stop. He had not one but TWO 3x3 spots where the groomer actually shaved off some of his skin! What???? TWO different spots??? Of course, they apologized and paid the bill. However, Melvin will now only leave his cage to eat. He has to be carried everywhere and SCREAMS when he is put in a car. It is heartbreaking the shear terror this poor baby feels. What they did to him was complete negligence and should be illegal. Period!

Grooming manager was about as helpful as a rubber nail. Paid for a package with nail trimming and did not trim my dogs nails. Was not reimbursed and she compared the dogs nails to anal glands to get her “point” across. Don’t come for grooming.

Great selection to choose from -- especially for the fish and reptile section. One of the few petco locations with live plants.

Very pleasant experience. The store is very clean, well stocked. Ample parking outside, store rep was helpful in helping us find what we wanted and polite. They also price match Amazon and other retailers in town so you get the most competitive price available. Will visit again if I require supplies.

Got some clownfish and a Bubble tip anemone. Been 2 weeks and doing well. 16 bucks a piece for the clowns and 50 for the anemone. Oh and got 2 turbo snails and 5 red leg crabs

Love grooming salon in this location！Jacob is so kind and professional! My puppies are not big fan of grooming but every time Jacob supports them a lot. We love this place!

The employees are nice and helpful enough once you get them talking, but you have to seek out help at this store. It also STINKS. I think they're not regularly cleaning the cages and/or the fish tanks.I've been twice. My first experience was 13 minutes before closing (I felt bad, but I knew exactly what I wanted), and two employees looked at me and ignored me, even after I apologized for being the late customer. One kept working on a fish tank situation, and the other looked at her watch and made a quick beeline away from me, lol. If they'd helped, I could've been out in less than 5 minutes and also could've avoided later returning the item.My second visit was at a normal time of day, and employees were more helpful, but I still had to seek out the help. Nobody's going out of their way to assist customers here, unless you're standing at the checkout. Stand there if you need help. Once at the checkout, they do turn on the personality, though, and they offer dog treats etc. Of course I had my cute dog with me this go-round, so that surely helped. They did accept my return easily and with no headache whatsoever which I appreciated. I wanted to exchange, but they had zero interest in doing that or helping me find the correct size and said "We probably don't have it", so I had to let them refund the money back onto my original form of payment and then go find the item myself and purchase it all over again on a separate transaction. Then I discovered the NEW item I purchased was missing a key part and had to come back again for a third time. Yikes.Additionally, the company won't price match sale/clearance items on other sites. That's not price matching, and it really shouldn't be advertised as a "price match guarantee" if there's an entire page of small print.If I were basing this review on my first visit alone, it would be a 1/5, but they did somewhat redeem themselves the 2nd and 3rd times.I know this type of experience is the result of our society's shift to online purchasing, but y'all are really making it hard for people who want to stay away from Chewy and Amazon.

I'm handicapped And needed more help than most. The problem was the staff were busy and had no clue what you had in stock. Or about any of the products I asked about which was terribly frustrating. Your store was a waste of my time and energy.

took my 2 boys there for hair cut hour or less later they called and said come get them 6 yr old they butchered him up bad left long spots on him didn't give bath, he had little mated hair on face cause of eyes water , I washed it off then the 15 yr old they didn't touch him and told me they need a form from vet to cut his hair , what stupid groomers they !? next day the seen vet and I told him about it and he was shocked said there's nothing wrong with the boys . So as for Petco I will never go there again and would tell my friends and family not to go there.

I will probably shop here occasionally if I want to see something in person or if I have an immediate need. I was looking for pet toys-specifically toys that challenge my dog. I thought the selection was limited. I also was looking for treats and found the selection limited. But the store is clean and overall has a good selection of products.

The store just randomly chooses to operate at different hours than listed online. It is so inconvenient to drive over to find a print out at the door with the “temporary” new hours of operation. This has happened on three different occasions and is highly frustrating

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to this Petco for over 5 years and have always had a positive experience. However when I most recently arrived to the location with my two dogs, I was greeted by a new groomer and informed that my one dog would not be able to be groomed as he has a limp. He has a chronic limp that does not affect his overall mobility - goes for walks, plays with his sister, etc. When I explained this to the groomer and manager, I was informed that it was company policy and that they could not do anything about it. I asked what their policy was if someone came in with a three-legged dog and they could not provide me with a good answer. While I understand keeping the animals safe while being groomed, I think this should be assessed on a case-by-case basis. My dog has adapted to his limitations and I know he would have done fine at the appointment. I will no longer be going to Petco for any of my pets' needs.

Worst location I've ever had to deal with. Hours aren't correct on any of their sites. Close at 5 PM randomly, which is impossible to visit due to work. Also won't answer their phones. Ordered pick up but wasn't able to get it because they closed at 5 every day. Was supposed to get a refund and still haven't. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would.

I normally love this place but they are now closing at 5pm when people get off of work due to staff shortages. Should offer higher pay and/or better hours (maybe??) to keep more people or consistency.Will update review to five stars once store is back to normal or better hours.Supplies and staff have always been good which is why I normally like coming here.

The staff at this location are amazing! They were so kind with my foster puppy who is scared of everything and everyone. They really went out of their way to be kind and show her not all people are scary. The staff really make this Petco great! The store was very clean as well!

Staff is always kind and helpful. I’ve brought my kitten in a few times and everyone is always so happy to see her (and any pet!). Always a good experience at this location, and they finally have the Halloween stuff out! My cats are all loving their new coffin bed and pasta toys

Super friendly and Brandon was super helpful and good with my dog, Sadie. Her grooming and nail trim went smoothly. The store was clean and organized. My only point of concern was a change in prices - while the company itself did not inform me of the change, Brandon did upon my arrival and made sure everything was clear. Slightly understaffed currently but doing their best and highly recommended.

Won’t buy any saltwater fish there. Selection was awful, and a lot seemed to have velvet or marine ich. Brought it to an employee’s attention, and practically got told to leave.

This place is so inconvenient. They tell you one thing and do another. I called to make sure that I could get in for a nail trim today and they told me to be there at 4:30 as I get there at 4:30 I see the groomer, turn the lights off and walk out of the building. I am so over this place. Their hours for grooming are never legit. Do not go here if u want a simple nail trim for ur pet! Good thing there’s a pet smart close to me as well!

Nice staff a gentleman even was willing to come out 10 min before the store opened to see if I was waiting for My dog grooming. ( was not ) but still super sweet of him. Such a clean store and wide verity of toys and treats and such. My puppy gets a new piggy every so often lol.

We took our 2 dogs in to be groomed this morning. After my husband and I took time off from work to take them in, once we got there a new groomer I had not seen before in all the YEARS we have been going there, told me they could not accept our Havanese because he is an older dog on meds for arthritis. She claimed it was company policy. The dog’s status hasn’t changed for years. Now suddenly they can’t take him. Then the other groomer brought our Pyrenees back out saying she was too nervous and he couldn’t groom her. I am furious. I will never go back there for anything. I feel like I should send them a bill for the time we lost from work that was wasted.
