If you find yourself on I29/81 between Fargo and Grand Forks save your hunger for the Hillsboro Cafe. The atmosphere is relaxing, service is spectacular and the food is outstanding. My husband ordered the Everything Omelette and I had the 1776 Burger and Wisconsin Cheese Soup. For later we purchased Scones from there assortment of baked goods. Don’t forget to check out the wall of items you can purchase which includes the seasoning and sauce used on my burger.

The Hillsboro Cafe just opened, and I took my wife here for her lunch break. They had an artisan style sandwich and soup special that was very good. I hope as they get their feet under them, their menus expands (It is a little limited at this time). They currently are focusing on breakfast and lunch meals, but plan to include a brunch menus in the future. Atmosphere was very nice, and service was excellent.

This cafe is under new ownership and is hitting on all cylinders right off the bat. The baked goods selection is outstanding. Dieters beware! The coffee is strong and not bitter. Your cup will stay full from the great service. I was here for breakfast but I really want to come back a try a burger for sure. I have eaten at a lot of cafe's and they can be hit or miss. This one is a hit for sure.

We just absolutely adore this cafe! They are such a staple to the community and we couldn’t be more grateful. The food is amazing in every way, but what truly makes the experience are the owners and staff! I recommend this cafe 10/10.

A quaint and cozy little restaurant run by a very skilled couple of people, the food was great for local fare, the service was quick and friendly, the cross table talk was fun and engaging.Overall a place I look forward to coming back to whenever I'm in the area.

My husband and I ate here last night. The meal was so good. The desert was so good too-homemade rhubarb custard pie. Great home-cooking. Yum! Very good meals, reasonably priced, friendly place, very nice cafe and we will definitely be back.

What a fabulous little small town diner! This was my first time here, but I know I will be coming back again. They have great food, and reasonable prices. I highly recommend the vegetable beef soup. The waitresses, both Hannah and Brittany, showed excellent customer service. And tonight we had the pleasure of being greeted by Santa, himself!

I had never been here before today. Had hot beef, wild rice soup, and a ruebard mix berry pie. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the prices were surprisingly cheap.

Cute small cafe in a beautiful small peaceful Town. Friendly staff. Food was flavorful, glazed carrots was amazing. But a few hiccups: 1. I order my steak med rare it came out well done. 2. It took way to long for my food to come out, while 2 other tables got there food before me and I was there first. 3. I ask the server for steak sauce and I received a empty bottle. 4. Mashed potatoes barely warm. 5. I asked the serve to I would like my mashed potatoes loaded "cheese and bacon" and she reply that it comes loaded butter and sourcream but it did not. Guess she didn't know what loaded meant. I asked for extra onion on my salad and received none. 6. Manager never came for a table visit after I brought to the serves attention that my steak was over cooked. The cook came out and apologize. They did offer desert which was nice. I did eat all my dinner " I was really hungry". I will return to give them another try. Hopefully my next experience will be different. 2 stars because the carrots had good flavor if not 1 star.

Simply yum!!! The cranberry wild rice french toast should be considered a national treasure!!! Staff is amazing as well!! Very clean! Covid-19 conscience! If you traveling near here, do yourself a favor and stop here for food!!!!

Much needed breakfast spot for this nice town!! Recommend the Cranberry Wild Rice French Toast or anything on the menu for a breakfast lover. Very welcoming atmosphere inside. I like that the coffee drinkers at the table get their own unique coffee mug to pick from. Check their Facebook page first for any special weekend or holiday hours, but it is well worth a visit if you are out of town. Make plans with some folks you haven't seen for awhile and meet up for a great breakfast or lunch.

Small town cafe in the heart of Hillsboro, ND. Attentive staff with cheerful attitude. Diverse daily specials. Quality food personally prepared...not heated in a bag or microwave. Excellent variety of baked goods. These are also made on-site. It was busy both inside and for carry-out. Give it a try!

Amazing small cafe in Hillsboro. The food is excellent and the prices are great. If you're traveling through and need a bite, definitely stop here. Be prepared with your appetite, though, as the portions are just what you'd expect from a local cafe. :)

Great home cooking. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Try some of the deserts, and how can you go wrong with breakfast served all day? Answer, you can't.
