This campground is 3 stars for a reason, it reflects the time you will have here. It may be ok for a quick stop if you can't boondock, but don't stay for months like we did, 3mo. There is so much deferred maintenance in the park, laundry area, waterpark, and workout space on top of the fact that they don't do background checks for their employees working the hospitality desk in the hotel. The one redeeming quality was how kind, Moana the manager, was when we interacted with her. This included replacing a window after her worker mowed a rock into it. I hope they can get better help and shape this ship up.

Treated us like we weren't guest from the first day and over charged for so little of things they offered.

Terrific Place For a Single Night Stay! Here's why: Because it's attached to a Days inn Conference Center, you have all the benefits of staying at the hotel!-Free Dooie Egbert coffee 24/7-Really, really nice fitness center (your pre printed receipt says it's free but receptionist says it's $9/day. But if you ask the let you use the very nice indoor track for free)-Really, really nice indoor water park. There is a charge, but your kids will love you.-Nicer shower room/restroom than you'll find in any RV campground! You do have to walk into the hotel to get to it, but the hotel desk is staffed 24/7.-Very nice 24/7 game room; Large TV & fireplace in hotel lobby are available to campers.-Large, nice 24/7 laundry facility. So nice people from Casselton use it, but there are lots of machine... Including commercial size! However it's pricey... Small washer is $3.25. Sink in laundry room could be used for dishes.-Sites nicely level and tons of high quality gravel keeps dirt and mud to a minimum even on rainy days.-Nice playground area.-On site restaurant at which campers get 10% discountDOWNSIDES-Most sites have picnic tables but ours didn't.-they're getting ready to add another 20 sites, so may be some construction-Rules seem subject to change about use of conference facilities (water park, fitness room) so get clarity when you check in.-No camp store with RV supplies

We stayed 1 nite and that was long enough. Sites are ridiculously close if back in sites had been occupied on either side. We stayed on site 507 which was a level, gravel pull through - good size for our motorhome and tow vehicle. 50 amp, shared water (but no Y-connection but luckily no one next to us) and sewage. It is just off the highway so convenient but also very noisy. At 630 AM we were awakened by a long, loud blast from nearby train (?)No garbage bins on site but dumpster next to hotel. Laundry building close by but coin machine in the hotel. It was out of service when I tried to get coins and wouldn't be filled until Monday. No coins available from hotel desk staff. Hotel staff were all friendly but very expensive for what you get.

Governors campground reviewI would Like to provide a review for this campground. Our lot was not mowed and full of tall dandelions. When they mowed yesterday and today, they still didn’t do our lot. Someone had strewn French fries in the lot also. Plus my dog found a beef bone on the road in front of our lot. No one seems to police these sites and make sure they are ready for the next Rv coming in. And really, we would have to pay for going to the pool, $10 each is ridiculous. We passed. And they don’t even provide a dumpster at the campground for the trash. You have to take it across the street to the hotel. Most places pick up trash daily at ones site. It has a tendency to keep the mess out of the campground. It would be nice if they had a designated dog walk area with poop bags and trash can available. Not required but they don’t think of the campers. The whole campground is unsightly and not appealing at all. It is not worthy of the Good Sam stamp, nor a good impression of the area.I am not a Happy Camper.

The camping spot was adequate for what we needed - a place to park our Class A motorhome and sleep 2 nights. We were happy with the 50 amp and water hook up and Wi-Fi was acceptable and the location conveniently right off the interstate. The motel desk staff was friendly. We were terribly disappointed with the motel restaurant. The cook couldn’t meet dietary restrictions of “dairy free” to cook hashbrowns because they can “only cook them in butter”. They were out of potatoes, French toast and bacon. Our food took over an hour to come out from the kitchen and was mostly cold as most of it sat in the window for 15 minutes. The pancakes were hard from being overcooked. The price of the meal was highway robbery; especially since most of our plates were only half eaten. My husband complained about the price of the food and was told “I’m sorry. The cook didn’t want to be here today”. We don’t plan to return the restaurant but would stay at the campground if we needed a place to park and sleep only.

Small rv park attached to the Days Inn. Right off highway in sort of an industrial area. No frills, at all. It’s not worth the price you pay. Gravel sites, FHU, minimum grass. Needs a dumpster close by & dog poop stations. Laundry was good size but expensive. You don’t get any amenities with the hotel unless you pay. Had breakfast at restaurant in the hotel but very pricey. Good for an overnight stop only. We would probably not stay here again.

Not worth the $$. Told us no wifi, no garbage cans except 1 dumpster at the Days Inn, For the entire park! And it was overflowing. Unlevel spaces, only a few picnic tables, not 1 in every spot & many were broken. Surely they can do better.

Good location off the highway. Restaurant was closed due to renovation, but there's a Dairy Queen nearby. It was noisy at night with the highway so close, but this location suited our needs in our travels.

Easy in and out. Ground could've been a little more level. Almost 60 bucks for an overnight slot seems a little high. Water park attached is also an additional charge. Good enough to catch some shut-eye.

We stayed at Governors' RV Park for one night in August, as we were travelling onward to Chicago. The site was full service, clean, and very flat. One added bonus was the connection to the hotels services, such as the pool fun area for an additional fee. We were the only ones in this massive pool. We used the water slides, hot tub, and played water basketball. The water was chilly, and the pool was slightly outdated. The hotel's bathrooms and showers were extremely clean. Would recommend for a one-night layover.

I would consider this an "okay" overnight stop for rv parks. Certainly a number of seasonal or contractor rigs on sites, but nothing to stay for in my mind. Gravel pads, poorly graded roads, uncut weeds, and overpriced are the norm. No trees for shade.

Only stay here if you can’t park by the highway. Much deferred maintenance. Spaces uneven. Pot holes in lot. No change machine in laundry, had to drive around to find quarters. Laundry machines worn out and overpriced. Weeds.

Convenient location for an overnight stay. Nice size pull thru sites as well as back ins. The shower/restroom is in the hotel. The shower water temp is not adjustable and the amount of water is metered- you have to press a button several times. The dumpster is just outside the hotel. There are extra fees for the water park and workout room. Front desk employees are pleasant.

Campground worked out well for us for one night. Spacious pull through. Really enjoyed the fresh burgers and a Big Governor. Fuel and large convenience store across the street.

This place is just awful. Yes, they have full hookups but that is all that is good. Booked 3 nights because my son had to have surgery in Fargo and we thought our camper would be way more comfortable for him than a Fargo hotel room. $59 per night for these spots is extortion, stayed in both Jamestown and Bismarck on our way to Fargo, at $40 and $60 per night respectively, both those parks had sites twice/three times the size with grass, trees, separate picnic tables, gravel pad for the RV itself and nice play park for my little guy. The campground in Bismarck even has a pool included in the price, hence the $60 price tag and I honestly don't mind paying that if you're getting your money's worth. This campground is basically a gravel, pothole filled parking lot. They claim it is big rig friendly however we had to unhook our truck and park it sideways in order to fit our 41ft 5th wheel into the spot, as did everyone else. Had to utilize the site across from us to get out as the roads are so thin (and all 1 way) there is no way we could have made the tight corner out with our rig. On the 3rd morning, before the check out time of 11am, the 'manager' called my husband and stated we were supposed to be out the door the day before to which my husband advised we had paid up until 11am that day and that he would stop by on our way out, to which she replied she would come place stickers on our camper door to advise us to leave now. We proceeded to pack up, which we had planned to do anyhow as it was getting close to 11am and vacated our spot by 10:55am. We stopped at the office as we had previously advised so my husband could verify we would not be charged a 4th night and to let them know we had vacated the site as requested. I guess my husband must have raised his voice at the 'manager' as we we're apparently placed on the 'do not return' list, not really a big deal, I'd stay in a Costco parking lot before I ever stay there again, however she also threatened calling the sheriff to have him removed??!!?? My husband is not an overly angry or threatening guy and just wanted to make sure we didn't get charged an extra $59 because they messed up. We are not teenagers or in our twenties/thirties, we have 4 kids and are foster parents so we are definitely not out to cause trouble or be threatening so not exactly sure what her deal was 🤷‍♀️ we just wanted a nice spot to place our 5th wheel during our son's surgery. Overall I would in no way recommend this place to my worst enemy let alone anyone else 🤣 if Google would let me give minus stars I would.

Nothing like I expected. More suited to quick overnight or construction workers. No fire pit. No grass on our site. Lots of weeds. Very small pool and "Waterpark " at the hotel were not included unless you paid $9 per person. Staff both took a break at the same time and left the desk with a note..odd. we chose to only stay one night instead of the 5 we planned.

I do not like giving bad reviews but this is not worth $ 39.00 a night. We only stayed overnight. Included in the price, you have use of the indoor swimming pools but it was a dusty walk in the hotel. They did have good 50 amp power and good water pressure but I had to use two water hoses to reach my RV. There is no cable or Wifi. The sewer lines were covered in prickly weeds. The all gravel roads and pads needed the pot holes fixed. Very close to the Interstate and a lot of truck noise. I've stayed in much better parks for $26.00 a night.

Great for an overnight stay and regroup. We are traveling with a motor home and the parks are few across the top of the state's and definitely not open yet. Full hookups, laundromat and by the expressway. It's connected to Days Inn. I wouldn't call it a camping experience but it was everything we needed in one spot. $41 and you got 2 passes to the pool and can use the showers therein. Didn't use these amenities so can't rate thst. Young lady at the desk was very pleasant

If I could rate 0 I would! 39.00 a night. Extra 10.00 per person to use the pool, laundry is 3.00 for a wash, Not including drying. Sewer connection is a foot off the ground. Park was so unusable with weeds broken swings, cracked plastic table. Kids wouldn't play there it was soooo bad. Better off at a rest area. It's basically a parking lot. Fire pits are if you can find one you can use it. But no firewood available. Showers are inside hotel. Probably the worst place we've stopped at

This place is very overpriced. Sites are small and unkempt. WiFi is non existent. Nothing else to comment on….because there is nothing else. The only good thing I can think of is it is convenient to the interstate and our particular site is level. Highway noise is loud because of the proximity. If you just really need a place to stop for the night then stop here. Otherwise keep on driving.

35' travel trainer, 50amp worked perfect 2 a/c's, water pressure good 42 on my regulator, f250 and trailer fit in pull-thru plus small SUV) I really don't get the bad reviews here... we travel the whole US for work and this was above average at least! The indoor water park was awesome for our little son our site came with 2 passes and then had to pay $10 for my son. Hotel also had a nice little restaurant. Was a little pricy, but good food. You could also just order pizza from the bar, that would be a little cheaper if feeding multiple people. It was strange we had a pull-thru and then they have a back in between the pull-thrus that do take up half of your grass space, but even with that, still had adequate space to be outside. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves.

If you don't need much, this place is great! Full hookups, nice grassy area with a picnic table, hot breakfast available in the hotel. The highway noise wasn't bad at all. Wifi is good. Got a good night's sleep.

Do NOT stay here. Ad says paved parking: pure fraud: there is no pavement in the park, at all. No trees. Just gravel and dead grass. Everything run-down. Had to share water with a permanent resident next door. Waaaaay over-priced: $58 for nothing. Day’s Inn (with whom it is associated), should be ashamed of themselves.

Great part, nice, level, long pull thru sites. Nice swimming pool and fantastic fitness center. And the manager is nice too.

Definitely not what I expected. Its a good place to stop for a night if driving through but definitely not a place I would stay longer than a night. No trees, loud train and you can hear the highway from the campsite. EasyAccess to the thruway.

Place is just OKAY, Lots of ruts in roads sites are a bit close together, side by side hookups. Looks like they are adding to the park. Hope they work on roads. Pedestals could be better. Google earth view is old, park has deteriorated since photo. Sites have been changed. roads are worse.

WiFi stopped working, girl at front could have cared less when we told her about it. Showers were dirty and had one temperature which was extremely hot. Pull through sites weren't level. Expensive for what we got.

Overnight place to park only. The bathrooms were at least 50 yards from rv site's, pool was at the hotel .

If you looking for an extended stay, this is the park to be at. Unfortunately there is not much to choose in this area. But this is not a bad place. 3 years now I've stayed here, they have done a lot of improvements and park looks nice. This is my 4th year here. The staff is excellent and a great place to spend a few months. Not far from town. And love the little town of Casselton. Price of stay is fair.
