We stayed a weekend in one of the cabins. It had the basic needs with no ice or ice trays and the closest store was about 10 minutes away. Cabin had one window a/c unit for the 2 bedroom cabin. Very quiet area with two hot tubs areas and fire pits. Just a reminder, I would recommend bringing bug spray because the cabins are in the woods. Lol

I really loved the cabin! It was super nice, easy to get to for a sedan, peaceful, beautiful views, and clean. The cabin owner made sure to leave two different kinds of coffee for the different coffee makers which I felt was a nice touch. The only thing that I could complain about the experience was the lack of the hot tub. It's our tradition to sit in the hot tub when going to the mountains, so we make sure that each cabin we book has one. When I booked the cabin, it had a hot tub. I get there and there's no hot tub... this would be fine if I got any kind of warning, but I didn't. I work in the industry and can tell that communication definitely would have gotten them a higher review. But, Sunset Farms, if you get another hot tub, I'll definitely be booking again!

Adorable cabins in a super convenient location.I stayed in the Eagle cabin and it was perfect for our family get together. The cabin was clean and had so many movies and games for us to enjoy. The grounds were super well kept. Sitting around the fire pit and making s’mores was the high light of our trip. We will definitely be back! :)

Our stay at Sunset Farm Opossum cabin was not entirely as expected although the mountain view was pretty good. The cabin was in desperate need of renovation, the water smells like sulfur, and needed a little more cleaning (cobwebs, spiders, dead bugs in the corners). Also, it was advertised that there were plenty of outdoor games (Badminton, horseshoes, etc.) but there were no complete sets and most of the equipment was broken. If you are looking for a quiet cabin, this is not the place for you as the highway is just below the cabins and there is road noise constantly. The one thing that we did enjoy was the porch sitting for our morning coffee!

We had a wonderful time on our stay. The cabin was clean and stocked with just about everything you need! I was impressed with the kitchen and the deco was very cabin the woods (fitting and lovely). There was a binder with suggested areas to visit and addresses to the nearest grocery store and Walmart. We wanted to go tubing and the binder had that as well. The one we chose from the binder was perfect. We were surprised to be only 15 mins away from Cherokee and visited there every day of our trip. Wonderful family bonding trip, really cannot say enough about how awesome it was. And so reasonably priced!

Everything was fantastic we had the unexpected pleasure to see 3 of the beautiful Cabins on the property due to a small mix-up in cabin availability. I scheduled a spree of the moment vacation on VRBO and was told the day before that my cabin I had scheduled was not available but accomodations were made by providing 2 cabins for one night and then our cabin would be available or we could keep the two separate cabins. Usually an inconvenience but in this case my Mother had an cabin to herself for one whole night with a walk in shower 🚿 which she loved and me and my husband and kids another; then 2 great days in the Moose Cabin... There were games available and a outstanding view and you can hear the train. I can't say more about this beautiful charming spot on Vacation Dr. Near Cherokee N. C.

The jacuzzi tub is out of order. The cabins are very dirty, full with dust and spiders. At 2.30 when we wanted to take a rest the stuff was mowing the grass. The property is very dark and dangerous for people! We didn’t feel safe there. The manager is very rude ! Also absolutely unacceptable behavior with guests!Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your vacation!

Wonderful set of cabins perfect for the extended family we gathered for a wedding just down the road. Cabins are clean, the site is well maintained and the price, even with the minimum stay was great. We'll be looking for other opportunities to return.

We had an amazing time at the cabin! It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The view from the porch was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!

I stayed in the Opossum cabin. Very clean but the furniture is very dated and in need of replacing. One seat smells of smoke and is old. The futon is impossible to sit on to watch the VERY tiny TV. A small investment would make this a great cabin. Now note I can't speak for the other cabins as I have not been in them.

Will update score if anything changes as we've just checked in, but so far A+. I will say the cabin is quite obviously a converted double wide but that's ok, we ain't snobs! We are in the Eagle and there is tons of space, it's very well stocked, and the beds offer a wide variety of choice. There's room for an air mattress if you don't like the futon. The one knock I would give is I wish the parking situation was better, but I get it, there's really no more room for parking, but you'll get at most 4 cars in here and some of them aren't going to be able to maneuver back out without others moving. It is what it is and I knew it was this way before I got here so it's fine! Still the best rate for accommodating 8+ people you're gonna find.

Great little cabins. We were a little suspicious that we could get a whole cabin for the price we paid, but upon arriving at our cabin on a Sunday afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean and beautiful. The view from the cabin advertised on the site was true to life and the cabin was supplied with everything we needed for a really wonderful vacation. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained and we loved that they even provided a bunch of outdoor/lawn games. There's no phone signal out here, but that was a plus for us as we didn't want to be within reach. There is wifi (or at least there was in our cabin) - it's no fiber speed, but it was sufficient to be able to research where we'd hike and eat that day. We appreciated that they allowed dogs (we never go anywhere without ours!) and allowed us to check out late on our last day so we had time to sleep in a bit. All in all, a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back in the future. If you're looking for a lovely little cabin at an astonishingly affordable price, look no further!

The cabins are pretty decent. Some minor repairs would make it nice. Like microwave did not have a handle.. There was a nice note but it could have been fixed and many other. The beds are creaky and mattress sag down forming literally a U- shape. TV is available. Decent place but it would have been much better if there was an on-site maintenance team.

This place is fantastic!Beautiful foliage and mountain views. Spacious (stayed with a group of 5 and a dog) and rustic looking cabins with more than the necessary amenities. Awesome location. Not far from many hiking trails, sights, and nice towns (Bryson City and Cherokee). Only downside was that the nearby (but not visible from property) highway could be heard a little when outside but we never heard it whilst inside of the cabins.Very pet friendly, very kid friendly.Highly Recommend!

We spent two nights. It is quiet and the price was much lower than many other cabins within a 50 mile radius. We have stayed several times in the area, but usually stay in Murphy. We needed some place near Franklin. There is a tremendous opportunity here because it is a beautiful area. But, in the livingroom, of many if not all cabins there is a very cheap futon that is extremely uncomfortable and certainly no one could sleep on it. The beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed in the Deer and a carpet strip in the kitchen is coming up and the fix was to place a large flat rock over it. There was only one chair, which was also uncomfortable. If the cabin sleeps 6 the only other seating was the dinette chairs. The bathroom in this cabin was remodeled, but this is a repeated issue in most cabins where we have stayed, a tub. The tub is so deep my niece who wears braces was not able to get into the tub and even if she could the tub was extremely slippery which is dangerous for anyone. There is also no slip resistant rug when you do get out of the tub. Walk in showers would be safer. The DirecTV was out all evening the first night. The internet is the worst and since AT&T owns DirecTV they might want to check on available internet with them. The kitchen is well equipped as well as supplies. Some very simple changes would make a world of difference here.

Staff is very friendly. Cabins were clean. Cabins are close together which is one thing to note. A bit pricey for the location and lack of privacy I believe. Beds were a bit uncomfortable too but the cabin had most supplies needed to cook a meal. Technology was an issue especially after being out all day and coming back to a cabin to relax. Television was too small and the multiple remotes made it a bit challenging to work. Internet was very spotty and faded in and out...not a necessity if we wanted to leave all those things behind, but it’s definitely a nice to have just in case. We took our two dogs with us which made it easy to travel and the neighbors were quite for the most part however one neighbor in particular left their dog off the leash and made it a bit uncomfortable walking around as the dog barked quite a bit. For the most part it’s an okay place to stay.

This is an extremely nice place, the views from within the houses are awesome. We had booked the biggest one on the property which could accommodate 12 people and it was really cool!! It was nice and clean when we arrived, they also had a barbecue grill in the backyard. I am giving 4 stars only because we had problems with hot water getting shut off after some people took shower every morning and resumed after 30 mins or so, otherwise this place deserves 5/5.

We stayed in cabin #63, the raccoon cabin. The cabin was quaint, full kitchen, hot shower, decently furnished. Close to everything, but sufficiently out of the way. Only small issues: Front door gets stuck, TV is missing most channels, small ineffective window AC unit made last century will not cool the cabin well.Overall: A great stay if you like cabins and aren't expecting a Hilton.

The carpet in one of the cabins stunk of cat urine, which permeated the room when the door was shut. Requested the bulbs be changed above the kitchen, changed the bulbs ourself only to find out wasn't the bulbs. Wasn't fixed. The hot tub was decided to be placed out of order due to the lid being so old and mildewy it was falling apart into the water. Cobwebs everywhere! Two bowls for a cabin meant to hold six!Disappointing if I ever!!!!!!

An easy drive, tucked away cabin experience. Two hot tubs, badminton, horseshoes, fire pit and well stocked cabins. We have stayed in two different cabins here and can't say enough good things about them. We will come here anytime we travel to Cherokee.

We loved our stay. The cabin was cozy and close to everything we wanted to do. In the middle of Bryson City, wonderful downtown Sylva and Cherokee all within 15 minutes. Entrance to GSMNP just north of Cherokee, about 20 minutes. Can't wait until our next trip to the smokies. We will be staying at Sunset Farm again, for sure.

I love fishing, hiking, and camping. These cabins are a close driving distance to everything (including a casino). They have firepits, hot tubs, and a beautiful view. My cabin had a kitchen, cable, and wireless internet. On my second day, I was driving around a saw a black bear!Cons, I was driving in on the first night and couldn't find the Sunset Farm Road from directions from Google Maps. I had to call and the owners told me it was between mile markers 75 and 76. The owners were very nice throughout my stay and I would definitely come back.

Was a great vacation place, stayed in the bear house. My family stayed in the opossum and the raccoon houses, they where also well maintained and cozy. Will say idk why there was a tip card left in the house, they asked you to clean the house before you left and the on site worker never brought us clean towles or linings after the first day, we stayed almost 2 full weeks. She also never once watered the outside plants or took the trash from behind the buildings, and when we asked for paper for the bathroom she pointed us to a shed to grab our own. We didnt tip, because she did nothing for us. Tho the place its self was lovely, they do need more responsible staff if they want tips.

Sunset Farms Cabin is a Great place to stay. It's quiet and quaint. The cabins-there are six of them- have all of the amenities needed. Most of the cabins have two bedrooms and a sleeper futon couch(check website). Plenty of cooking utensils. Each cabin has a grill if you want to cook outside and there are two open fireplace pits with chairs around it for one or a few people to enjoy. The cabins were located 9 minutes away from a beautiful town called Sylva NC. Sylva has a great downtown area that is on a smaller scale of a downtown Asheville. Conveniently, Asheville is an hour away. The cabins are located 12 min. from Cherokee NC. A unique Indian reservation with a casino. The cabins are also located 25 to 40 minutes from Bryson city NC where most of the white water rafting and ziplining is located in the Nantahala Gorge area. Beautiful scenery in this area of the mountains. All in all I don't think you'll be disappointed. I was not . Everyone everywhere were super nice and engaging. I did notice there weren't many people of color in this area but don't let that stop you. I didn't. Everything was great!!!

I had an amazing week here. I would recommend this place to anyone. Very clean cabins that provided most everything you may have forgotten to bring. Central location is only 20 min from pretty much anything you want to do. Staff all were super friendly. I had a small technical problem that was not their fault. I called at 11:30 pm and someone came up within 15 min to assist. Definitely a gem up here.

Nice cozy and simple cabin mountain escape. Had a great stay for my friends birthday and the downtown area/scenic hikes give you plenty to do. Always love North Carolina mountains.

Came there to see some friends of mine staying there and the cabins are really cute and I love that they have community fire pits. Gives you a way to connect with new people, met two really cool couples. Hopefully i will get to see it in the day time!

Furnishings a bit outdated, but appliances are new. Cabin I was in needed a "deep" clean. Walls and under the bed were rather dusty. No cleaning fee required, but maybe there should be...
