The pharmacy is the absolute worst. When they are good it's great. When they are bad it's like starting a war. They have consistently gotten my prescriptions wrong. I have to call in to ask for a 90 day supply, every time I need it, instead of just filling it like I requested on the app. And every time they "have a delay" it's because they have more questions for my doctor but NEVER make any attempt to contact them, because my doctors confirms the non communication. When I try to call them about my issues, it's a 25 minute hold time and then they hang up on you. As soon as I can find another pharmacy with cheaper rates, I'm transferring in a millisecond.

The worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. Don't bother trying to get your prescriptions filled here unless you like to wait and never hear if it's filled, call and wait on hold and probably get hung up on several times, eventually talk to one rude tech or another, get some nonsense about why your prescription can't be filled, call your doctor and your insurance company and wait on hold some more so doctors and insurance can tell you there shouldn't be any issue, call the pharmacy back, no apologies, only gaslighting and taking no responsibility for NOT DOING YOUR JOB, then get told the prescription is in fact approved, which you knew all along, but they can't fill it because of any number of issues. Exhuasting and unacceptable. Walgreens corporate should get involved. I've been a Walgreens customer for decades, no more.

I have been a Walgreens customer for years. Consistently horrible service at this pharmacy and horrible attitude of people working in pharmacy. Please realize that the sick people you seem to feel are a burden/inconvenience for requesting prescriptions be filled (the same day) after calling in 8 hours earlier, are making a continuous decision to bring you their business and keep you employed.

I should've listened to the people telling me not to fill my prescriptions here. I went in to pick up a prescription that was filled this morning. I was told the pharmacist had to "check" it. They told the lady before me the same thing and that it'd be about 10-15 minutes. After half an hour goes by, the lady before me gets up to ask how much longer. They had hers ready about ten minutes later. Another 15-20 minutes goes by and I'm getting very frustrated at this point.I also walk up to the counter to see how much longer, but the pharmacy tech just zips right to the shelf and grabs my rx as soon as she sees me. What?! How long had I been sitting there while my medicine was ready to go?! I know what it's like to be understaffed, and they definitely weren't. Also while I was waiting I heard the ladies back there making fun of a customer who was using Medicare so that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for me. The rest of the staff that AREN'T working the pharmacy are super friendly and it's a shame, but I'm never setting foot in there again if I can help it. I'd recommend others to do the same.

06/07/23:Here I am again having to deal with Walgreens. They have had my prescription since 2 pm. Here it is, 6:30pm, and it is still processing... I really need this medicine for tonight, and 1 more time, I think Walgreens is going to let me down. I think there is one of two things going on:Either Express Scrips is paying off the pharmacy team to be slow, so people will go with their mail service (honestly, mail service would probably be faster). Or the pharmacists on duty need to take some classes to help speed up counting to 30,60, and 90.I don't understand how they can be allowed to continue being this slow. I know I've spent sad amounts of time waiting in line inside the store getting to know the other poor souls that have no choice but depend on Walgreens to eventually supply us with the medicines that we badly need.05/28/22:The only reason I get my medicine here is because this is the only place my insurance lets me go that isn't a mail service. The wait time at the drive thru is ridiculous. You better have at least a half tank of gas before you even turn in their parking lot. They should install gas pumps to get more money off of everyone. Every time I come for a refill, the line is wrapped around the front of the store. That and if you get a refill, you will get an email, text and automated call saying it's ready, but when you show up it's not ready, or they have no record of your request.P.s. I wrote this review, waiting in the line at the drive thru, and only got to move forward 1 time, and there are 5 cars in front of me.Edit, got bored, so I added a picture when 3 cars were in front of me.

This Walgreens pharmacy is the absolute worst I’ve ever been to. They are rude, slow and disrespectful. Every time I have to fill medication here something is wrong. I refilled this on the website and the cashier said it didn’t go through, even though I got a text saying it was ready for pick up. Today the cashier barked at me that they are understaffed and did I want a job. I said no thanks I already have two jobs.I watched one cashier stand in the corner and text on her phone, the other was sitting at a desk eating. There were 8 people in line and nobody cared. There really is no excuse for this kind of treatment of customers. The pharmacist never even looked up, and I know he could see the line and hear the customers complaining.

Been on hold for 35 mins with 2 then 1 caller ahead of me and continuous pick up & put back on hold without saying anything. Then after holding all that time they hang call up. Waiting for antibiotics for close to 2 days at this point to treat pneumonia and script still in progress. Why are they even open if this is how they conduct business?!

If I could give them a zero I would. This is the worst run drugstore I have ever used. DO NOT USE THIS DRUGSTORE!! BOYCOTT WALGREENS in Washington, NC. I dropped my 3 prescriptions off yesterday at 4 pm after spending the day at the ER. They were not ready until 2 pm today. When I asked why it took so long, the pharmacist said they were overwhelmed with orders. This is unacceptable & I am moving all my future prescriptions to another pharmacy. This isn’t the 1st time that they’ve let me down & I refuse to take it any longer!

If I could rate it lower I would. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a retail shop or pharmacy/medical services provider. After making online appointments three times for a COVID booster, showing up for the appointments, filling out the form and waiting I’ve been told the pharmacist was out and they don’t have the vaccine. After multiple attempts going in w/o success I’ve called to check on vaccine and pharmacist availability before going and was disconnected while on hold multiple times. And, when I gave up and went in for the appointment I was told they were short staffed. They said they had the vaccine and I could wait but they had no idea for how long. There are more stories re: prescriptions, inexplicably erroneous data in my account record, etc. but you get the picture. In short, it’s consistently a nightmare…ALWAYS! I do not intend to ever return to this pharmacy!

I am so glad that Walgreen's lost my prescription the next day after my doctor sent it because their corporate office is so compassionate. There's no need to cuss & argue. I will not utilize this location anymore as a result of their deplorable service. There are so many more options with quality services and extraordinary customer service. I still received my prescription at another pharmacy the same day and that's all that matters. Thank you, Walgreen's Corporate office!

Just spent 12 minutes on hold with the pharmacy after listening to someone pick up the phone receiver 3 seperate times and set it back down to put me back on hold. This is my 3rd day calling Walgreen's Pharmacy. I normally use the app but they won't fill my prescription because the app tells me "Call the pharmacy." Do better Walgreens!!! Or maybe get some management that can handle the job!!

Rude! Asked one simple question about an out of stock prescription and when she thought it may be in. She was abrupt and simply hung up the phone without a goodbye, thank you, take a hike, or whatever. Sad times we are in. Kindness has gone out the window for most places. But Belhaven’s customer service was so nice!. I called to see if they had it in stock. They did not. She even said to have a nice day!

I had a prescription called in. An hour or so later I called to make sure it was being filled. I was on hold for over 10 mins and then the tech was incredibly rude including hanging up on me. It was going to be over 3 hours (at the earliest). So my husband went in to wait - they were still rude and told him he'd wait 45 mins or more in store!! It was by far the worst experience I've had with them and was so bad we switched to O'Neals to get further meds filled.

It’s not the store that’s terrible!!! It’s the STAFF including all levels of managers! They’re rude to customers ( especially those who coupon and use BOPIS ). They are LAZY and rather than substitute items they don’t even look for them and just cancel for you to go in store and see the items sitting on the shelf. They will not bring your stuff out to the car and you have to call them to remind them you’re outside waiting. They talk ugly about customers to other customers and staff and don’t care who hear them. Washington, NC’s Walgreens need a new makeover with STAFF!!! Shop there… you’ll soon find out! oh yeah and they’re so lazy , on Sunday hardly any of the weekly deal stickers are on products so you don’t know what’s on sale!!! Horrible STAFF!!!

Really, 0 stars. Do not leave prescriptions with this store. They are the poorest managed pharmacy imaginable. Somebody there is bold face lying:I drove 15 minutes to pickup 3 prescriptions. 1 had been filled. The lady at the window asked if there was a change to insurance. No change. Told me to call. Called after getting home. Now the response changed. They said the other 2 prescriptions were already filled & sitting on the shelf. Only needed the pharmacist to review them.My family will NEVER return to these lying employees.

I had a 4:00 pm appointment scheduled on August 30 to get a shingles vaccine. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked if the pharmacist was available to give my shot. The pharmacist came over, and the first thing she said was that I’d just have to be patient, that this was their busiest time of day, that she had to mix the vaccine, and that she was the only one there. I had no way of knowing any of these things. I told her that I was happy to be patient and asked if she could tell me about how much longer I would have to wait. She could not give me an estimate of time, so I left. I have several suggestions for that store. If they can’t staff properly for vaccinations, then do not offer appointments for those times. Also, the pharmacist should start by saying, “I’m sorry you are having to wait so long.” Then she could explain the circumstances. She was rude to me from the beginning.

The employees were very rude, they wanted us to pay $100 for a bottle of eye drops with insurance. They said we have a deductible and we don’t we have a copay. When we tried switching it over to Walmart, we were put on hold and then hung up on. Sent my mom to tell them to cancel the prescription so that Walmart could pick it up, and the woman was super rude and had a very bad attitude. I have never had this many issues for a bottle of eye drops.

I wish I could give them negative stars because that is how awful their pharmacy employees are in their customer service. Never an apology but full of excuses. I will do my best to avoid giving Walgreens my money and am in the process of getting my meds filled at a different pharmacy. I hope these employees understand that karma is a B and anytime something adverse occurs in their life its probably because of their poor attitude in their treatment of people who are just trying to get some meds and FEEL BETTER!!!

The Walgreens in Washington, NC is beyond bad. We have used Walgreens in Raleigh for years and have never had a bad experience. As others have stated, if I could, I would give zero stars. If I had to score each visit to this pharmacy independently, I would give every visit a zero. I do not understand how with all the bad reviews over a long period of time store nor corporate management has done something. We have had to return 2-4 times for every order over the last 9 months. We currently live 30 miles away so getting a text or call that a scrip is ready should give us confidence that it is ..... nope. On one scrip my husband went and they didn't have it. I received an email saying it was ready so I went. Myra (this has been at least 4 months ago and I still remember her name) spent 20 minutes going through bin after bin trying to find it. With no success she pulled up records and said my mother did not have that medication on file. She absolutely had it on file and I had the email. She basically told me tough $%^&, I'd have to have the doctor send in a new scrip. They have mislabeled bottles which could be life threatening. They switched the labels on 2 bottles. They had on a special shampoo that my mother should use it 7x a day for 2 months!!! It should have been "Use every 3-4 days". Being generous, I would say in 9 months I have had 3 people be professional and nice. I am now calling my refills in to the store I used in Raleigh far enough in advance that I can pick them up when in town. My husband and I have decided we will use Caremark for all our ongoing drugs, use the Raleigh location for my mother and O'Neill's for any prescriptions addressing an immediate need. This month I have sent 3 emails to corporate offices, copying to managers of restaurants/stores where I have received outstanding service. Professionalism and a good attitude cannot be excused by the pandemic. I wish people that have no choice the best of luck.

The pharmacists are great. They are underpaid but great. However if your trying to get over the counter medicine or purchase anything else that doesn’t require a pharmacist or prescription don’t use this place. They open late and there is always system problems and it took my wife 20 minutes to get through a 3 person checkout line. Go elsewhere.

For the pharmacy:Absolutely impossible and unacceptable service.I get 2 RX every month.I am ALWAYS told that there are no refills and I have to call my MD. The app will update that RX in progress. Typically that goes to an update that one of the meds is on back order and will arrive a few days later (mind you, I’m generally out of medication by this time). App will update that meds are ready to pick up - get to the counter and the clerk tells you that you don’t have any refills and you have to call the doctors office. Sent away again. Doctors office gets frustrated because they called meds in within the past week already. Go back to counter - clerk tells you she can’t help you and you have to get RX called in. App still indicated you now have 2 RX ready because the back order has been corrected.NOT ON TIME have I picked up medication both on the same day and in time to not go without my medication. More typical is NO less than 4 trips EVER to deal with it before someone who knows what they are doing meets you at the counter and tells you that the medication has been ready for pick up for days. NEVER waste your time calling the pharmacy. EVER. You will be on hold for approximately 25 minutes and then someone will pick up the phone and hang up on you. Over and over again.I work for hospice and call in RX for patients all day long. And these same problems occur all day. I have to call RX in for patients 2 and 3 times before they are processed. Comfort medications for end of life - and the RX is just ignored or erased. I have had to drive to the pharmacy and go to the counter to discuss these issues on behalf of patients waiting for pain or symptom relief meds. Calling the store the whole time - sitting on hold for my 25 minutes and then being hung up on. Over and over until I arrive in person. It is a joke. Avoid if you can. Unacceptable that I have to delay my medical care by several days because of these things. Several days each month. So over the 5 months dealing with this - I’ve lost nearly a whole month to gaps between refills. Shameful. Or it should be if anyone cared enough to feel shame.

I'll add my experience to the pile of trying to call and just kept getting put on hold without a word said to me. Terrible customer service. EDIT: I got through today after a few minutes of just waiting, so I would normally increase to 2 stars... BUT the pharmacy tech didn't even ask for my date of birth before discussing my prescriptions with me, so I'm just gonna leave it.

Currently, I have been on hold for 13 minutes for the pharmacy and I've listened to someone pick up the phone THREE times now and place it back on hold without asking what I need or anything. As I am typing this out, 17 minutes have passed by and the phone has been answered SIX times now just to go back on hold w/o speaking to anyone. It is 1:00PM on 4-5-2023. So whoever is currently at the phone is just picking it up for the music to end and placing it right back on hold. Ridiculous. Screenshot is attached!

I had a prescription called in for my daughters inhaler because our regular pharmacy was closed due to it being a holiday. Well she NEEDS her inhaler. My doctor faxed over her prescription three times and they claimed they never received it when there was a confirmation that they did and they refused to take my name and number to call me because we didn’t have a profile there. So I had to keep calling every 30 minutes to see if they got the prescription sent over and finally they told me that they didn’t carry that certain inhaler after me calling for a total of 2 hours. The staff was nothing but rude to me and I will NEVER go back here to try to get anything. I wouldn’t go there if it was the last place on earth.

It use to be the best pharmacy in town but that's not the case anymore. It shouldn't take days to fill a script but it does at walgreens even if you call it in 2 days early or use the website. You can tell just by looking at the employees that it's not a good work environment but that's still no excuse for the way they act sometimes. Employees are poorly trained and it shows.

Abysmal experience on hold to pharmacy today. Trying to schedule my 2nd shingles shot. After 10 minutes on hold i was disconnected, but not before asking me to answer some questions about my experience...called back twice, disconnected. Will show up tomorrow and take my chances. I know they are busy but it does not inspire confidence in a pharmacy.Next day sunday aug 22. Again called, brief hold, then straight to system asking me to rate the service. If you choose to not answer you are disconnected. To be clear, i have yet to get through to an actual person to schedule the shot.Went to pharmacy earlier this morning but was told a system was down, cash only, no shots. That was 3 or 4 hours ago. The person answering the phone and transferring me to pharmacy gave no indication of any problem.Day 3. Yesterday spoke to a person (he just transfers calls), at walgreens. Explained my problem, he suggested i leave the pharmacist a voice mail and transferred me to that. I left a message, that was 24 hours ago. Of course recd no call back. This place is a hot mess, so disgusted. I hv given up on getting my 2nd dose. 3 days of going up there and getting nowhere, calling repeatedly, getting nowhere and disconnected. Shame on you, Walgreens.
