This store has greatly declined! There are more empty shelves than fully stocked ones. Big turnover of staff within the last year. It appears to be management above the local level. Sad because it's convenient & has good products once unboxed.

Scraps of papers on the floor.Looked as if the floor was not swept in a long time. Big carts with products on it in every aisle. Hard to get to products

Still haven't problems to fill the shelves even after closing from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. two days during the week they still didn't have their stock out more stuff in cards than they were on the shelves but doing a little better than they were

There are a lot of items in the store, even grocery items. This store location is very convenient because it is about 5 minutes from my house which saves me the trip of driving to town when I need to just pick up a few things . The employees are always friendly and polite too.

Small store, aisles are close together. So, if you have mobility issues, I would frequent a DG with more aisle room. Employees are nice and helpful.

Newly renovated! I don't know why but I always find stuff at this DG that I don't find at other DGs and although it's always busy I rarely have to wait very long to check out. It is perfect for the quick stop on the way home especially when you don't want to go to Walmart...

They always have a clearance section with great buys at the Dollar General stores in Boone, NC area. Also, whenever I buy milk from them, it seems like it's fresher & the expiration date is more than a week away.

Really impress the eggs and milk or cheaper than Walmart. Employees are very helpful and courteous even though busy trying to keep shelves stocked still take the time to help you and show you where things are.

They are absolutely terrible. Me and my fiancé went in to get some Halloween candy, and I wanted to see if I could throw away my McDonald’s bag away. I asked nicely if they had a public trash can, he explained they didn’t. It should have been just that. But no, the creepy and might I add RUDE guy also said and don’t throw your trash on our shelves. Like what?! Needless to say, we won’t be going back there. Just the way he said that to us was very rude and it was like he expected it.

It was kind of crowded inside and difficult to move around due to the distributors & delivery people, but other than that it was fine. The cashier was very nice and the rest of my trip there was pleasant!

It's convenient, but often only 1 register is open with way too many people in line. It's often disorganized, but they're understaffed... and have a high turnover.

The items in the store were scattered to where I couldn't find anything. And I also had issues with customer service because they were not very friendly and they stared me down making me uncomfortable the whole time that I was in there

Just your typical DG, but a godsend if you need a gallon of milk, bread, etc. Otherwise you're looking at an hour round trip drive to the nearest grocery store. The prices are great!

Dollars for fasts kids at Boone mtn dollar general would be a good idea if someone had the money to do it like midway where I sit on Boone mtn event sounds good for the rich or I would if I was rich

Always has what you need and close to home and 10 to 1 rather go to dg then Walmart lol and prices are cheaper then grocery store on alot of items i buy normally.

Dollar general quickly losing ground and my opinionwhenever I go there they have one person working the entire store putting up stock the bathrooms and never open and you wait 5 minutes for someone to come up front to check you out

Same layout in all areas. Very inexpensive, and good selection of all sorts of things. I like dollar store for most all my quick shopping needs

love the concept of Dollar General and use it quite often at different locations. The stores can vary though and sometimes it is not that wonderful but all in all a great option for customers

Dollar General in Vilas is helpful because it will save frequent trips into Boone during busy times of the week.
