This place offers a great selection of river rocks, gems, paydirt, geodes, gem and gold mining equipment, and rock tumblers. All at great prices. The guys who work there are very friendly and informative. This is a must-stop for anyone in the area visiting Emerald Hollow Mine or similar places.

Went in to the store last weekend and was surprised by the amount of "toys" that they have in there. Almost anything that I could think of, they had it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even gave me a few tips and showed me some real gold from cons on their clean up table.I bought a 1 lb bag of pay dirt, and have panned 3 pans with 1 teaspoon each and have retrieved multiple flakes from each, and even a tiny little nugget from one.Well worth the trip down from Wilkes county!

Great place for all of your prospecting supplies. They also sell an assortment of gems, cut stones and coins. You can get Pay dirt here as well though Inhave not tried any of thier dirt.

Loved the store. Small but packed full of all sorts of mining, minerals and currencies. Very friendly staff and owner. Pet friendly. We were able to park our 31 foot camper in parking lot. Can't wait to return.

I am thinking about moving to NC just so I can visit this place every weekend. I was such a kid in a candy store my wife had to drag me out. I was only planning on getting a few odds and ends and ended up buying a Miller aka cleanup table as well as a pile of goodies. The prices are competitive and in some cases cheaper than online, so check them out before going elsewhere. The staff that works there are very nice and helped me out with everything I needed.

The first time I came in this establishment I had a very decent welcome, but 1st timers are always going to be looked at differently. But the 2nd time I came in here it was different, there was a few more heys,and welcome guys. Love this place! Bill has a great deal of mining knowledge. He answers all our questions. He’s generous with his time and advice. They have gems and crystals and jewelry. As well as very interesting art pieces. This is a long drive from our area but it’s so worth it!

Great place to get a higher quality rock tumbler (Lortone) than you can get from the usual online places.The staff was super friendly and helpful… they helped me carry heavy stuff to the car. And it’s a cool local shop that sells interesting items and equipment.

Stopped in just to take a look. This place is great! They even had a bin of "used" gold pans for $3-$5. I didn't buy anything but I will be back when I have time to ask questions and get advise for a very novice explorer. They also had lots of geodes, megalodon teeth, coins, ect. My curiosity is peaked.

Great customer service, especially for a beginner in the hobby. Since I live out of town, it was shipped to my home without delay as promised. I live in a different state from Carolina Prospector Supply, and everything Ive ordered arrived on time or even early.Bill even took time out of his busy schedule to talk with me on the phone.These are super nice people, who are very knowledgeable . Hands down the best shopping experience I've ever had anywhere Bill was patient and answered every question I had without a hint of frustration. He also looked at a small sample of gold that I had on hand. He cleaned it up on his Miller table for free. All of the products that I looked at had the cheapest prices that I've seen, even better than online prices from other stores. I had such a good experience I've recommended Carolina prospector to all of my friends that prospect and I personally will not buy any equipment from anyone else. He also has a large stock of coins on hand at great prices.
