My husband went in to purchase something and get cash back because we heard food lion was the number one place to go to do so , well the lady working that day3/29/24said in a hateful manner no cant help ya with that I already went to bank bank twice today and i am to tired and not going through it again today.well went vack 3/30/24 no cash back yet I guess she was really tried ,tobtiree to do her job and thats. Good way of loosing customers cause 2 people done walked away not served today

Poor little lion😭a very sad little store. Really needs the company to pay more attention to this neighborhood store. The concept of ignoring stores and just letting them run, in this case down hill is a poor excuse. People in this community need a nice, clean, updated, well stocked stocked store with selections. I understand it's a small footprint, but things can be done to make improvements to it. Get fixtures from other stores that are being renowned. Get a team in there with passion. Or just close the place.

It was a small store, but they had most of the items that we needed. Very convenient to the Fairgrounds where we were camping for the 2023 Hamfest.

Store is clean. Shelves well stocked. Staff is very helpful. Restroom is clean. Found all the items I was looking for.One handicapped cart needs maintenance; the ON/OFF switch is broken.No other problems observed.

Everyone was polite and helpful. The store was clean and well stocked. They had enough checkout lanes open that I didn't have to wait long, even on a Saturday afternoon. They don't have a bakery at this location, and the bakery type items are only so-so.

Staff are pleasant, seem to like their jobs, help even if it's not their area, and go out of their way to walk you to where an item should be and locate it for you. Best of all, the staff wear their masks right, clean the carts to prepare them for the next customer, and do the extras like offering assistance to the car if someone is elderly or infirm. The store has one way aisles, there are always disinfecting wipes or disinfectant spray and paper towels, and customers can feel much safer shopping there than at other stores, especially during this pandemic. They also seem to have managed to keep their store stocked better than most other places so you don't have to go somewhere else for the rest of your shopping.

It's a nice store. Everytime I go there, however, there's always stockers blocking the aisles. I understand the necessity, but I go when I get off work after 4pm. Seems to me they pick the busiest time of day to restock shelves. Otherwise I like it. The people are nice even when it's hectic.

What horrible customer service..I can spend hundreds of dollars a week with Food Lion..but the lazy old manager refuses to give me change for a 20$?!? Well Food Lion just lost all my business with that BS. My goodness everything is just going downhill

Always has the best prices. Kinda wish they had self checkout but I dont mind because there is usually enough registers open to not have to wait in line forever. Food lion is my favorite grocery store by far.

This was not a great experience at all and felt somewhat racial profiled because I was standing in line with one item and the supervisor that was on duty directly behind me and said to guy behind me o you have one item and then came back and got the lady behind me with multiple items and both of them were of same race

A tiny Food Lion. Selection is way down compared to other locations. Good quality staff. Very friendly. Perfect for " fill in" grocery store runs. You need a lot of stuff? Go to a larger location.

My wife and her sister shop food lion always. Today they were treated rudely and totally unprofessionally by a cashier this afternoon. Cashier was asked to not put heavy bags on lower tray of cart. She ignored repeated requests and finally gave snide remarks bordering on mocking ….. this kind of employee drives away customers …. Clearly the management should be concerned. I’m rethinking our store choices for sure….

To manger you doing great job it's clean fresh vegetables fruits clean everything we stocked. check out quick lot sales no limit on meats they very helpful took time. answer. Questions don't point walk away they actually walk and show what looking for they're quick to restock sanitizer wipes at the door so you can wipe hands very impressive. Food Lion is always a clean and easy shopping grocery store however it seems to be now every time we try to go on a Saturday the aisles are always full with dollies and cases were they are stocking the shelves... I just wonder why Food Lion chooses to do that during the busiest time of day on a Saturday

People working at Shelby location are always soooooo helpful! Store is always clean and items stocked, of course some things are beyond their control but I generally find everything I'm looking for and if not staff is always apologetic

Recent changes inside, getting used to it. Staff are very nice here. Food lion should carry more vegan, none dairy products like yogurt. I use great caution when i am pulling out to the main road. During busy hours it can be a bit challenging.

Customers pretty much have to wait on themselves. Cashiers do not even put grocery bags into cart. You have to show your key card, pay, while trying to put grocery bags into cart, and try to get out of the way for the next customer, while workers wait, watch and talk. Bad customer service!

This store is my absolute FAVORITE!!! The prices are unbeatable and they have fresh fruits and veggies ALL THE TIME! The store is very clean and there is always someone there to help should you need help locating an item. They have great organic options too which is a plus!!!

Honestly I don't know how Food Lion stays in business they're extremely high and compared to Walmart you can see what prices really are at Walmart and I know Walmart in making some money you can't have the buildings and the people that work in the biggest company in the world you don't make money but Food Lions making double what Walmart is I suggest you take your business to Walmart I see how my mom buys her groceries at Food Lion and does the online ordering and Food Lion even charges for that my mom lives on a limited income dude she is on disability she won't go to Walmart because it said miserable to shop there because it's so big self-reliance take a step back look add what you're charging folks and try to do a little better you get more business overall everybody's not on food stamps some people paid out of their pocket

Although this particular Food Lion doesn't carry as large of a choice of different brands/varieties as the Cherryville Food Lion, which is where I shop for the items unavailable at my local Lidls', it is much brighter and cleaner than it was in the past. I applaud the efforts management has taken to improve the look and overall attitude of both the store and it's employees.

Always the best prices for your money. They offer great sales thru out the week and great coupons that help the community. Also, offer recipes online to try new products they carry. Convenient, friendly, and helpful. I buy mostly Fdln brands when I shop with them.

Worst meat selection of any food lion I have been to. Steaks are always very poorly trimmed, can't ever get the cuts you want, especially if it is on sale and the people working the meat section are hard to find. People are nice and the checkoit is always fast juzt don't habe any expectations of getting a good steak.
