A fantastic DG with a small produce section. Barbara & Anna are Rockstars 🤩. They're always helpful, polite, & know where everything is located.Due to location, local vendors & the event, this place is blown out. Especially on a large weekend like Memorial Day, Labor Day, or VIR event weekend, but they always do their best. 5 stars.

Nice not to have to go to town Everytime you need something, very helpful for people that have vacation houses on the lake, they can go buy and pick up what they need and go straight on to the lake without having to go into town. Very convenient and the manager goes out of her way to greet you and help you with what you can't find. Would be a five if they would quickly open more checkouts when busy.

Prices are a little high and I don't know this stores workers but they have always been kind to me when I come in this store. Leasburg DG now those ladies I see daily and they are amazing.

It's very clean and the cashier was very helpful. I like the fact that in the middle of the wilderness you can find a dollar general. The one star reduction though, is because prices are slightly more higher than Walmart on somethings but the quality isn't as good. All in all this is a good place to pick up anything you might need last minute, for the most part, without having to go into town when you live in The Middle of Nowhere , NC.

Some of the staff are aggressive and rude. They had none of there sale tags up for the pre-holiday sale. When check out I wanted to use the military family appreciation discount. I was ask for my military ID which is against company policy. I informed the cashier that military kids don't have IDs. I was rudely told then you don't get the discount. Thankfully my mother showed her ID

The name says it. I was in a pharmacy the other day and realized I needed to grab a couple wireless notebooks or composition books. Wow when I looked, they were priced well over the $1- $2 I paid for 4 of the exact same books all together. Sure some items may be not quite high standards. But for quick stop, low prices can't beat.

Dollar general has really stepped up their game. From great choices of ice cream to easily cooked meals. Also plenty of choice from groceries to department store products. If you haven't been inside one in a while I suggest checking it out.

Cleanest and most well stocked Dollar General from here to the East Coast of NC and a self-check out to boot. Impressed! The staff at this store deserve a raise.

Had to make a quick stop for water before working at VIR. They only had one case of Dasani (though I'm sure they got hit up by other race patrons as well). It makes a convenient stop along the route from Durham and the staff were nice.

Its amazing what all the DG has to offer. Especially if you are way out here at the lake and the nearest town is 30 minutes away. My only complaint is sometimes the check out lines can get pretty long.

Went there tonight (new years eve) as expected it was a little busy with one cashier and said cashier stopped to take a phone call in the middle of checking us out with a line of other customers behind us

A lot better than the 2 DG's in Roxboro! Overall the store is much cleaner than either in Rox, the employees are much friendlier, and it's better organized without piles of boxes blocking aisles.The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of variety of food brands compared to some other DG's. I often come to this store when I forgot something at the grocery store and don't want to drive back into town. Many things they only have in Clover Valley brand (the store brand and the quality is not great) whereas other DG's will have the same items in at least 1 other brand.Other than that 1 issue, the store is great!

Friendly staff. Seem to have everything. Great at rotating stock depending on season. Really nice to not have to drive 30minutes when we need something like milk or eggs.

A very busy location. MGR needs to schedule people where there is double coverage. Asst mgr left 2 new ppl alone on the register with a line all the way down the island. I as a customer had to call her twice to come help them. (Sam is her name and the mgr. Is Never on duty.

This was by far the nastiest, most disorganized, mess of a Dollar General that I have ever been in. And I can't remember the last time I heard one of their stores refuse a customer access to the restroom. I'm sure corporate would not approve of any of this.

So GRATEFUL to have this store in town. It’s 5 min from out vacation home compared to the 40 min ride to Walmart. Great store, staff and location .

At the blinking light intersection of NC 57 and NC 119, the epicenter of Semora NC. Parking lot and decent lighting. Late hours. Closest thing other than gas stations / rural convenience stores is 25 minutes away. If you've never been in Dollar General you won't believe how much stuff they can cram into a building. I mean it's incredible how much stuff they have. Really, it's crazy what you can find here. 😁 Shoutout to Semora Volunteer Fire Department across the street.

I always stop here on my way to Hyco Lake. It is clean and organized, isles are free of clutter. Service is friendly and speedy.

Dollar general in semora sucks,they NEVER answer phone,and never have regular products I stock,always new employees behind counter,will drive extra 15minutes to Danville va instead!!!!

Store was dirty. Only halfway stocked. Just one register opened and she was extremely slow. Line was all the way to the other side of the store. I waited in line longer than it took to shop.
