SUPER CLEAN! TONY IN DELI has to be the most professional customer service rep I have encountered this year. She greeted us immediately told us about their deli specials, she was extremely helpful and we bought the Cajun turkey she recommended and we bought a 1/2 pound instead our usual, a quarter.She also knew the store in and out, she pointed me to the correct isle which made my shopping easier. Everyone else we encountered were also very polite. At check out the clerk gave us a discount which was awesome.I really enjoyed my shopping here. I would definitely suggest Tony gets some type of recognition for her professionalism and dedication.I highly recommend you shop here oh also bakery items were fresh the blueberry mini blueberry muffins were delicious. 5stars all around.

This Food Lion is the nicest one in Lee County. I love closest to a different Food Lion and I prefer to drive the extra distance to do my grocery shopping.

Superb Food Lion grocery store! There is a wider variety of products here than some of the other locations I have visited. I have bought very fresh produce, and sweet juicy watermelons during the summer months! 😋🍉 The associates are always helpful and attentive! Great service all around! I will definitely be making more trips here for my groceries and household needs!! 😊😍😀😀

Normally I don't have any issues shopping at this store. Today, while at checkout, the young man kept sneezing without attempting to cover his mother. Then, proceeded to wipe his nose with his hand. All while checking out customers. I tried to call the store to let them manager know, but no one ever came to the phone & my call eventually get disconnected. I tried to call twice.

They have green grapes for $1.49 and bananas 39 cent per lb great prices. The meat counter is full of good looking meats.

The store itself is decent. Do NOT work here. They will bait and switch you. I was mislead about the job, was offered to be full time with benefits by Garret in the training room during our interview Jan 30th the interview lasted for roughly 23 minutes between 4:00-4:23pm, was told no one offered that to me, they tried to call me a liar (without the guts to outright say it) and gas light me. Was supposed to be a stocker and they asked if I'd help in the deli, yea I'll help, no problem, never had a day out of the deli, also they don't see what the difference is between working in a department verses helping in department. Was apparently also my fault they can't get the scheduled out on time. They blame their ineptitude on others. They also can't hear anything you say and when they do it's considered rude. It was rude that I asked "(Managers name) if possible I need this day changed, I made plans the other day and the schedule was not out on time when it was supposed to be."I'm supposed to give them two weeks notice for me to be able to have any plans when they are the ones unable to get the schedule out on time. Tried to plan my plans around the schedule but it's hard when it's out two days late.10/10 wouldn't recommend this job to anyone, not this location not with current managemen

Don't work dairy here it's a pain in the A55 and the perishable manager is also a real piece of work, he never scans out reclaim (because it's too messy) and never trained me to do so therefore it would just pile up two or so weeks later until the assistant perishable manager would scan it out (god bless him) and also management here in general just saw me as a worker and not an actual asset to the store's overall function, I'm not sure its because of my hispanic ethnicity but thats just my opinion.

Always well stocked, clean and organized. Employees are friendly and helpful if need need help locating items. I went during the busiest time of day, and they continued to open registers so there where never more than three customers in line.

Come here often for little grocery trips. All of the cashiers I've ever encountered are very friendly and nice. I've had issues with other customers, but that's just lack of decency. Love the staff and the products.

Great store a year ago. Today, I went to this location. The apples I bought are waxed and mellow, which means they are one step above rotten. I paid nearly three dollars for these. Usually, I am pleased, but today's purchasing at nearly 60.00 was disappointing. Does inflation mean pay more and get rotten food? Food should affordable. There is one stand from located grown produce. Food Lion might do better to give space space to local growers for a fair price.

Great prices, clean store, always stocked with hard to find items, and this is a comfortable shopping environment. Another thing I like is there are NO long lines. You can tell every sales associate does their part, no one is standing around and chatting on the job like other places... They check every customer out quickly. You're in and out within minutes. I love it here, I go every week to restock my fridge. The people are great, too! :)

Always my favorite grocery store because of their app that loads coupons on to your ( MVP) reward card. I have never received anything bad from the bakery. Their sales change every Wednesday. They offer even better prices on weekends. The store is clean. They keep sanitizer wipes for carts at front of store w/carts. If you ask they will assist you if you're disabled with loading groceries into your vehicle. The deli staff has always been friendly. The staff is usually very nice too. They will open more registers when the lines get long.

I just moved to Sanford in April. This Food Lion is one of the few places that I have experienced friendly customer service in this town... until today. I guess Vivian was not having a good day. That's no reason to be difficult and speak to me as if I'm an idiot. I will go back because of the courteous service that I've received from cashiers in the past.

Hate this store. The cashiers are rude. Never any buggies/carts inside. Shelf’s are almost always empty. Would rather go to Walmart then have to deal with Hawkins’s Ave Food Lion.

This isn't the best food lion in the area. It used to be better when it was new but went downhill fast and the employees never give a toss if u need help or not. This is based on many visits . The best one food lion in the area with a huge selection of veggies fruits and specialty diets is down the motorway south us1 in Tramway it's worth the few miles and they offer shop online and pick up in the carpark. The associates are super nice will load your car as u like. The associates in the shop are also super nice and helpful.

This is my closest grocery store and I really like coming here. There are always carts inside the doors. The shelves are usually stocked and things are lined up neatly which is nice. Staff are helpful. The store is clean. But I had to deduct a couple of stars for the disappointing produce section and for the way some of their cashiers bag groceries. It seems like the produce that I go there to buy is either in bad shape, like the onions, or sold out, especially the green peppers and avocados.As for the cashiers? They are usually friendly and fast teenagers. But I'm so tired of my bread being squished, my produce being shoved all in one bag, and non-meat items being placed in the same bag as meat. Yeah, those have happened on multiple occasions. I would much rather bag my own groceries.

This 5 star rating goes to the friendly people here and they are always willing to help you or have a friendly chat. I love how most of the things you carry are affordable and the MVP card helps you save, too. However, I do not like that one bitter elderly woman who follows you around the store, but doesn't have the common courtesy greet you. I say hi and that gets rid of her, until the next time I go back. Other than that I love this place.

I like this Food Lion, it is small but seems to be well stocked and clean. They have several check out lanes open all the time, with no lines - makes it easy to get in and out quickly. And the prices are pretty comparable to the competitive Walmart stores, but without the long lines and crowds.

It is clear this store is under new management. I will not wait to buy 3 items when I have to wait for the 7-8 customers in front of me. I just go to Lowes and pay a bit more. I'm 8

My favorite store while staying at my in-laws. Been coming to Food Lion for years and wish they were in northern states. I really like their brand of items. All I've tried have been as good as the name brand. The employees are sleeping very nice and willing to help in any way they can.

They have everything I need. I love being able to find healthy things like sipping vinegar, virgin coconut oil, and the natures promise house brand provides many natural and non gmo alternatives. I'm very mindful of food quality and purity and it used to be much harder to find these things. The staff was friendly and helpful today. I just moved into the area, and I'll be shopping here regularly.

This is a great Foodlion, the aisles are always nice and clean, food is always stocked. I can always find what I'm after. If I ever need any help the associates are great about lending a hand! Fast, friendly, efficient service.
