This is the third time I have gone through this cashiers line 3 separate occasions today is the final straw the first rude encounter I let it pass as maybe she’s had a rough day the second time I’m giving the side eye this time you deserve a review because I’m not confident in the leadership/management to handle this. not to fire her that’s not the goal here at all but I’m not confident that they would even speak to her about her attitude as a customer service representative for food lion. First off she did not greet me either time she just starts to scan my items bag them and then set the on the counter even though my cart is right there and she was very intentional with not placing them in the cart. after I paid for my items she said nothing handed me my receipt and turned to greet the white lady behind me im specifying because to me her attitude was racially motivated as mind you she did NOT GREET ME she barely gave eye contact. I did tell her you have a nice day as I turned to walk away. Now I am big on reviews always have been however I do not review every single time I’m in and out of Food Lion only when it’s really good or like this time really bad. If you are working in customer service surely you know you will encounter those you don’t like or hate in which I was made to be believe that by YOUR ACTIONS you work as a representation of Food Lion is this approved of by the owners? Do they not care if you treat a certain race this way? I wonder????

I came tonight to get some groceries and this lady was being so rude. First of all, I was behind an elderly costumer waiting in line, and he was trying to have a Conversation with her and she looked at him didn’t even respond with a smile instead she gave a stank face. and then she started scanning my stuff and basically throwing the stuff into the bags and then she grab the bags and threw them on the counter which lead to my bags ripping and i asked for another and she was so mad and so red and she looked furious. i don’t even know her and she was giving me the worst attitude. but i did get her name on her name tag to write this review… her was sephira.

place has really gone downhill. empty shelves everywhere (yes i know it’s being remodeled i’m talking about the cases and shelves that aren’t at the moment). dirty, stuff on the floor all over the place.

Lots of stock carts blocking the aisle but they were being used for stocking not just sitting there. It was kind of busy but was able to find everything we needed.

This is my first time at this Food Lion. They had everything thing I was looking for, but they only had 1 pack of smoked turkey necks left, I needed 2, so I had to use 1 pack of smoked turkey wings. They also had international delight southern butter pecan coffee creamer, which I can not find in Charlotte, NC anymore. The store was organized and stocked.

I was accused of being a thief at this location a week ago today. I took a shopping cart that didn't have any merchandise in it into the bathroom after conversing with the guy that was cleaning the bathroom. I even waited outside the bathroom looking at my sales paper while he finished up. And complimented how good the bathroom smelled. Let me back up and explain why I took the cart into the restroom with me...not that it matters since there was no merchandise in it. I had my sales paper and coupons and purse in the cart. I need time to view the paper and compare my coupons so I had planned to do that while I was sitting on the...while I was handling business. That's why I took it in there with me...can't balance a purse, look at paper, compare coupons and do your business with something to help hold all that stuff. Anyway, as I came out I browsed the clearance rack before moving on to the bacon which was for the first coupon I had. I noticed the manager, the cleaning guy, and another guy standing by the milk, but thought nothing of it. As I'm checking prices on bacon as well as my coupon I'm approached by the manager Frank Smith and asked about my motive for taking the cart into the restroom. I explained. He then asked to search my purse. I told him that he could but it wouldn't stop there...meaning I would take things further. He searched my purse still. He ask me again why I took the cart with me into the restroom and I explained again..using some not so ladylike words. He walked off and not once apologized for the humiliation that he had just put me threw...customers had stopped their shopping and was looking onward. Now, I'm no one important to the public but I've held down jobs (criminal justice field) that made my face a familiar face to a lot of people and to have this happen I was just shocked, embarrassed, disgusted, and humiliated. Now, I have got to say that I will never shop at this location or probably any other for that matter after what happened to me. I'm awaiting Lidil to open up...until then walmart and piggy wiggle and save alot will get my business. Thanks for reading. Thanks for the humiliation and traumatic experience Frank Smith and your two goonies...Brandon and the bathroom cleaner. P.S if I was a thief I would've immediately left the store instead of staying to shop with coupons. You guys aren't very bright. Next time Frank, use a little common sense.

Food Lion was very busy at 5pm. Lots of registers open.. I went to get Diet Mt Dew on sale buy one get one free. They had lots of Pepsi products on the shelf.

This Food Lion is very clean. Their crossiants are fresh and delicious. Food Lion also sell Mash sparkling fruit drink. These drinks are delicious and only 80 calories for the entire bottle.

Been shopping at Food Lion since they came to North Carolina when I was a kid. My mom was so excited about a Food Lion store and honestly I have shopped there a lot in my lifetime. Most of the time of late, I end up purchasing sodas and chips and then picking up some of the other deals that they have. I love the coupons they give you.

This store is pretty good overall. I wanted to leave some feedback about Kareem. He is always very friendly, polite, and efficient. Sometimes that’s hard to find in the younger generation. Kareem, keep up the hard work and friendly attitude. It is noticed and will get you far in life!!!

I shop at multiple Food Lions in the area, not only for my personal groceries but for my events business also. I have been looking for shrimp on sale, I had been to the store a fee times looking. This time a man in the back named" Rodger" took his time to look in the back, and find what I needed! He was kind and courteous and very friendly. It is hard to come by great customer service these days, but this man definitely has it. Thank you food lion for having great employees! 🙂

There's only one cashier working I guess the rest decided to take their breaks together. I had you flag down a manager who had an attitude, it finally got some help in about 5 employees came out of the break room , so then they had a total of 5 cashiers and one shopping cart retriever, this door is just so pathetic

We just moved to the area. I'm not sure what it is about Sanford businesses, but man are they lacking compared to our previous town. I was going to buy meat and 3 packages were expired. THREE! They were several days beyond the "sell by" date, meaning no one is checking this daily. Our old location clearances meat every morning when it's close to the date. Then there's the cleanliness: food conveyor belts are crusty and the floors in the store are filthy as well. I've never seen such a gross Food Lion. Clearly they are lacking in management. Food Lion will no longer be my main grocery store.

Always good advertised priced items. Produce doesn't look bad for more than a day before more comes in. Deli is always clean. Staff is usually friendly & helpful. They'll try to help find an item if not on shelf, checking in back ( store room). Kept well stocked. They just need to keep wipe dispensers for carts filled, lately didn't have Usually fix little stuff like that as soon as they're made aware of it.

Great selection, I go in at random times to see if they have what I usually buy on sale. One of the best sales I ever saw were the Healthy Choice frozen dinners 5/5. Incredible deal since usually they are $3.29 a piece. Plenty of parking, never had to wait in line long either.

They were out of so many things. There was 4 things I really needed and they only had 1 out of the 4. The other 3 were out of stock. There was so many big empty places on the shelves. Not one package of juiceboxes.The reason I gave 3 stars and not less is because their staff is really nice and helpful.

I don't always find the sizes or the same items. The stores individually drop items based on sales in each store. So you may have to go to multiple locations to find what you need. Overall I don't mind shopping at FL. It is quicker than Walmart but the prices are higher.

Nice clean store. Mostly friendly staff. Decent stock, but the store by US1 and the one in Teamway are better. Great location. The desserts could cause you to gain a bit of weight. The deli turkey by inspirations is really good.

The produce section was well stocked today; full of beautiful fruit and vegetables. All looked freshly stocked. Beets, apples(several varieties *(honey crisp, gala & Macintosh were especially good this time), romaine & squash. Not sure why the only Basil is from Colombia? It has been pretty tasty & aromatic; though$ *(looking to plant some; for later in the season). Several registers open made for short lines today: -) .
