This store is well stocked. I can find and get the items I need. They offer great sales and reasonable prices. Great place to shop for a variety of items. Most staff is friendly.Negative: Most likely, you will have to stand in a line to checkout. No self checkouts or maximum items register if you are trying to get get in and get out quickly.

It seems like every time I go here I have to walk through a cloud of smoke at the front door. The employees stand under the building overhang and smoke. It's disgusting. I was there on 1/18 only to be smoked out by an employee while sitting in my car. The employee came right to the front of my car and blasted me with cigarette smoke. 2/4 Another Food Lion employee smoking in the parking lot, it stinks. Employees standing at loading dock smoking. Meanwhile there's only one register open and a line halfway through the store. Pulled up on the side and an employee got out of her car and threw her cigarette under my car. I guess they know who I am. Update 2/13/23 Employees still force you to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter store. See pics. 3/25/23 Had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter and exit the store. Employee smoking outside of the doors. See pic. Update 4/26/23 I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to enter because of two employees smoking outside the entrance. See pics. 6/23/23 Had to walk by an employee smoking near the front door. Obviously the management doesn't care. See pic.

It's clean and probably the best grocery store nearby. The staff are hit or miss as far as being respectful. Some straight up do not care if you even exist much less ask where an item is located. However, patience pays off. The day crew are kind and helpful. Night staff, not so much.

Foodlion is the place for all of your grocery, the foods is always fresh and the price is unbelievable, plus you will always save alot of money, so I recommend everybody visit theirs favorite foodlion, plus they make you feel like family.

Went here to process a simple money order, stood here for about 10 minutes until a cashier who glanced at me several times asked what I needed then went to get management to do it. She said itl be 5 minutes , management sat on a chair in there room with the door open exchanging glances and slowly closed the door as if I didn't see it.Still never got the money order went to the post office instead.

My local Food Lion is AWESOME! Always clean and organized. My only dislike is a corporate thing where they rearrange everything every so often. I understand the marketing strategy behind this, but it throws me off for a trip or two.The staff is always nice, ESPECIALLY Clinton! A very courteous and upbeat man. The local news did a story on him. He is an amazing person. Definitely worth the trip just to shake his hand.Never had an issue here, even with the school kids they hire. Wouldn't shop anywhere else, and I hate when I have to go to another store for a specific item not carried in my store.

Nice store, but too expensive. I don't have a MVP card and really don't want another value customer card that I have to keep track of in order for me to have a discount. I think customer value cards tell me we will charge you too much if you don't let us track your purchases.If this was helpful, please hit the thumbs up like.

Amazing staff very very quick to the lines and everyone is always glad to help. All of their food and produce seemed very very fresh all the time and that's probably because there's a Walmart right next door that gives them direct competition. But I shop here instead of the Walmart especially for the food and stuff only because this place has a warm and almost wholesome feeling kind of like small town America where the Walmart you can stay in there for 45 minutes with a sign that read help me now or have a bomb and I'll blow the store up and they wouldn't even care they walked right past you so if you're looking for good food and leave someone to give you a hand if you need help go to the food Lion you won't be disappointed!

There are 3 Food Lion stores within a 10 mile radius of me. None of them have any self check out lines. All of them only have enough staff to run 3 of 8 lines. At this point at all times of day there are 5+ customers per line with full carts. If anyone needs to pick up just a loaf of bread they stillspend 20+ min in store. OR they go to Walmart that lives in 2022 and has self checkout. Sad because Food Lion made a strong push for expedited checkout a few years ago. Whoever is district manager for Halifax Co. needs to step it up. Food Lion in generalneeds to step it up. This ish is sad.

The people there are nice but 1) they need to stop selling the hartz fleas drops for cats. It causes seizures. Any vet in town would tell you that. 2) If you are vegan or vegetarian go to Walmart. The prices if vegetarian/ vegan foods are ridiculous too. Cat food too. Most prices are too high. Either your can catch an awesome sale or you'll be bled dry. This is one of the few stires that stick Just Egg though

Very disappointed that Food Lion has stopped stocking and carrying alot of product s I use, examples jonesville turkey links, Dixie plates and small bowls, and dog treats that my dogs liked. We have 3 Food lions and a Walmartand they all just want to sell their store products and do away with national brands that people like 😶

The Roanoke Rapids Food Lion has the nicest staff. Everyone smiles and wishes you a good day. I do enjoy shopping there as it's very convenient for me to stop by on my way to Henrico, on the other side of Lake Gaston. Thank you!!
