The employees are nice as can be, but the store itself, not so much. I've only more than one occasion purchased expired product & product that something was just flat out wrong with (how do you make bananas taste sour?) They used today PW was the place to go for meats, but this is definitely not the case anymore. Not only is there a limited selection, the prices are usually astronomical compared to other grocery stores. As far as dry goods, you can find most right around the corner at Dollar General for FAR cheaper prices. In my honest opinion, the only reason this location is open is because they've never built a Food Lion in Pinetops. As for me, I'll drive to Tarboro to save.

I would be giving 5 stars. BUT, after being embarrassed by the store manager (Jimmy), I’m definitely giving 2 stars. I’ve been shopping here since moving to Pinetops last summer and have never felt so disrespected by anyone there until a few days ago. Then after Jimmy was confronted about his behavior, he stated “I don’t know you”. No apology or anything. The only reason why I’ll be returning is because this is the only grocery store in town. Jimmy should really be taught customer service skills. Also, watch the expiration dates and check for mold on the meats, cheese, and milk.

Wonderful customer service. Donald Becknell is a great assistant manager. He helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Prices are a little high but understandable, but worth every penny. Great family friendly atmosphere. Love this store.

The experience in this particular store is pretty good, most of the time. Of course it can be swamped on Saturday and not have enough help, but on off days you will always have someone to help you with your groceries. It's good to know that even in this day and age that good people still help others. I don't know of any other groceries that help you outside to out your groceries into your vehicle. Thanks, Pig.

Chris in the meat Dept is a customer oriented employee. Always greets me and ask did I find everything I needed. This place always will do custom cuts of meat and it's always just a short wait away. The produce I find fresh unlike the MacClesfield Grocery. It's not an expensive store. Also Mark...I guess he's the mgr is friendly and if I need something in grocery he takes me right to it. Just a good ole store

I wasn't here long enough for a real shopping experience. First in the parking lot I think I actually smell pork, and by pork, bacon. You walk in and you can feel your cholesterol jump several numbers. I can only think it's from the abundance of crackling packages around the store. The associates are what keeps customers coming back as they are friendly and quite jolly. Some associate was not with the extra weight, they were New. No seriously, it's a nice store for setting your pork products. If you want beef, very few options.

Some things are a little high priced, but they have a very good meat dept. and the meat prices are usually very good. It is close to home for me. If you are in the Pinetops area it is better than going to a bigger town for quick items.

Piggly wiggly in pinetops is convenient. You need to be diligent on checking the dates of All products you intend to purchase. I find that a lot of the products are expired and not rotated properly. They also advertise that they do full carry out service, and more often than not I have to take my own groceries out. Normally, I wouldn't care about that part, but I had foot surgery and can't walk without crutches, and I don't receive help when I shop. I had to take my groceries out in the pouring rain on crutches while all the associates that weren't on a register stood at the door watching it rain.

This is my regular grocery store and they have a lot! I would suggest if you're passing through Pinetops on your way home stop in here, if you don't know where everything is their loyal employees will gladly assist. But I don't like their music it's not pleasant

Friendly hometown store with hometown service. They carry your groceries right out to your car and load them up for you. The only thing wrong now with the store selection is that they have done away with Maola chocolate milk. On the other hand they carry Smuckers apple jelly and Del Monte ketchup which are fantastic pluses. Stop in to see them.

My family does not feel safe in the store. We (I) was threatened in the store by a black man and the black store manager stood 15 ft. away watching and did nothing. Yes we are white.

Clean as a whistle. Nice people all around. Pleasant from walking in to the parking lot. Couldnt believe my eyes and ear of how friendly the were. If the earth was like this. We would be in heaven happily.

This Piggly Wiggly is the best when it comes to their meats, they package them so that you get more for your money especially during sales. The only thing they need improvement on is at checkout, the wait can be too long at times.🎃😍

I have a good experience everytime. The meats at the Pigg in Pinetops are the best and as l can see the Freshest in my little eastern part of Edgecombe or Pitt. I really dont eat much. AND believe me when l do eat, I dont want anything wrong with it. Thanks so MUCH FOR FOR YOUR PART OF KEEPING EDGECOMBE. CO. AND OF COURCE:EVERY OTHER COUNTY close by on a Healthy Note.

The pig is an excellent place to shop for your every need. The head manager goes out of his way to make a visit at this store seem like you are surrounded by people that cares.

Omg i remember this store my mother and aunts and grandma shoped here i love spending the summer and Christmas down pinetops i guess it's because i was born in Washington DC the air down there is so clean wood fire place or stoves in some of the homes i can all most smell them lol don't mind me old memorys coming back to me i guess i lost my aunt today my mother's twin and I'm feeling kinda sad she will be taken back down there where there from 😢
