Could be a little cleaner. Needs some TLC. But very nice people working there, quiet and safe, beautiful view of Pilot Mountain. Gas station and McDonalds within walking distance. Nice free breakfast with make your own waffles and excellent coffee. The pool was drained for the winter but it looks like a nice layout with patio and lounge chairs.Oh! I see several reviews mentioning bedbugs, but I found no sign of them in my room, and I checked thoroughly with a flashlight.Walkability: Gas station across street, McDs a stone's throw away.

NO, NO, NOI’d give 0 stars if available.- Blood stains on sheets (the kind desk person supplied another set of sheets which WE had to assemble)- refrigerater didn’t work.- no blow dryer- phone in room did not work (the handset actually stuck to the receiver when picking it up)- curtains were dirty and the chair was filthy- bugs in tub- very limited breakfast (coffee was good and McDonald’s within walking distance)I could go on and would like to include pictures but not sure howNoteworthy details: We would describe it as the hotel from Hell..

Great service at first but went down hill very fast. Room 117 was the room we were given. After a few minutes I seen a bug heading towards me and i instantly seen that it was a bed bug. So I got up stripped the bed and found the in the crease of the sheets. Well i went to front desk to complain and there were quite a few people waiting to check i well they heard about it and instantly left. A few of our neighbors heard what was going on and checked out. From that point forward they were rude to us by saying we couldn’t sit outside to smoke because we were in a non smoking room. They kept accusing us of smoking in the room. The next room 116 was clean but the microwave was broken the fridge barely stayed cold. We requested a new microwave several time. Went to plug in my phone charger and the bathroom light started to go on and off and blinking then make an extremely loud buzzing sound come from it. I would strongly recommend anyone that even remotely considers going to this hotel to AVOID AT ALL COST.Rooms: Very dirty very outdated the AC barely works the electricity needs updated and inspected bed bugs were foundSafety: Not safe at all people walking in the parking lot at all hours at nightWalkability: Close to McDonald’s and gas stations dollar general is a short walkFood & drinks: Well for the hotels food and drinks there is none. As for the stores around it they have all you want to drink.

First, having to leave at 4 am in the fog, and unfamiliar with the area caused even further frustration. The room was disgusting and that may be an understatement. The smell was horrible and only got worse when I crawled into bed and noticed the pillows smelled like mold. Got up and tried to use the room phone and it didn’t work. Called front desk from my cell phone and the attendant said he had spray (that was stronger than Lysol) but would have to come to spray and I already had my things in the room, opened. He also offered another room but due to my disability could not climb stairs.Tried to sleep but woke around 3:30 am with headache. Got up but did not shower due to the tub filth and noticed the soap and conditioner were both opened and used!!!! I did not stay for breakfast.Told the front desk person who cussed and said he was not going to tolerate that from the staff. (Called Priceline and reported all of these concerns after getting to a safe location 3 hours later and they denied refund after talking to this man).Called the man to inform him I would review and he asked why he was wasting his time talking to me. He did not understand that I felt unwelcome because the room was so unclean.I will NEVER stay there again.

Room was in need of repairs. Had called prior to stay to inform staff we were traveling with two dogs and needed a first floor room. Upon arrival the person at the desk looked like he had no idea of this information and put us in a second floor room. There is no elevator so our elderly dogs had to try to go up and down stairs. The smoke detector in the room was chirping constantly and, when I asked the front desk about it, I was told to wiggle the battery door at which point I found that there was no battery installed! The microwave and refrigerator were both plugged into a power strip hanging from the outlet. Overall a terrible experience and I am surprised that Choice Hotels even lists this location on its site.

For a non-smoking room, it smelled like it was a long term smoking room. The room was nasty, bug on the floor, tub was stained (maybe) but we didn't want to get in it. Didn't even sit on the chairs because they were dirty. The only reason we stayed was because we were too tired to continue driving. There was a guy sleeping on the sidewalk outside of one of the rooms. Trash was laying all around the stairwell that had obviously been there for sometime. Guests had their personal property outside of their room including a basket of clothing. We had to walk past it to get to our room & yes it was still there when we left in the morning. Maintenance department needs to step up their game as well.

I booked this being it was the closest to a wedding venue and there was nothing else near. The reviews on here are accurate. The room was just very dingy and needed repair. It wasn't necessarily dirty but felt that way. The bathroom was in major need of new fixtures and ceiling. There was an exposed, rusty and corroded breaker box in the closet and the door to the room was really loose. Like a hard push and it would open kind of thing Even for a quick one night stay, I would look for something else.

😄Great friendly staff. So friendly the one girl will sleep with your boyfriend on the down low and cause a break up that she ain't the least but worried about. The rooms are clean. Pool was very clean. The one blonde hair on the staff just gotta watch her she has key to all the rooms. And had stuff turn up missing here and there during my three month stay .

Place was a dump, sleeping in you car is a better option, No hot water or very little, dead bugs on the floor and the room stunk like stale cigarettes. Room 202 was suppose to be a suite LOL the door on the inside had no knobs and part of the flooring was gone. I wish I could rate it worse then a one star. Choice hotels should remove this place immediately from their website.

Showed up Sept 16 to what was NOTHING like what was pictured or described in the advertisement. As for the outside.... The soffit and supporting parts were loose and/or close to falling off all along the side of the building we visited. The stairs were unkept and un swept. The landing and walk way to our room was loaded with dirt, screws, junk, etc.... The stench wafting in the breeze from around the end of the building should have been warning enough. As for the inside.... The room had a musty smell. The T.V. and microwave were both plugged into an old lamp that did not work, hence neither did the T.V. or microwave. The tub spigot was leaking and would not turn completely off. When I flushed the toilet to make sure it worked a large amount of water came seeping onto the floor from under the toilet. Needless to say, we turned around, walked out the door and into the lobby to let the person who had just checked us in that we find the accommodations unacceptable. After explaining our issues to the fella behind the counter he said there would be no charge and handed me a receipt showing a zero balance. We left and booked on down the road at a Quality Inn.To add insult to injury..... Once settled into our room I looked at my account see that my card had been DOUBLE BILLED for the stay that did not happen. Needless to say fraud charges have been placed with the card company against this establishment. I'll also be contacting the Pilot Mountain city manager to inquire as to why this place has not been condemned. In summary..... It's my most sincere opinion that this filthy and dishonest establishment should be avoided at all costs.

I would rate it lower if I could, but afew things. I'm a Choice Hotel member but I was charged the $98 rate versus the $74 advertised rate. Being tired after a long day I didn't argue. The drape was torn and broken. The door latch was broken. The toilet seat would not stay up. Old dirty carpet. Very loose bathroom faucet. Alarm clock not plugged in and the outlet was deep behind the night stand. Not enough outlets for the appliances - choose which one you want to use. And finally, I put the socks on I had worn the previous day, and a bug had crawled in there overnight and bit my second toe before I squished it. I've had far better experiences at other Econolodges, but this one was TERRIBLE. Never stay there.

Rooms looked nothing like pictures shown on internet, hardly any hot water, non smoking room had cigarette burns all over blankets and the blankets were to small for beds.. around 11:00 pm found bugs all over pillow that looked like bed moves so was moved to another room. Was told when left that they had closed previous room and it would be inspected and I would receive phone call to let me know what was found after inspection with possible return of some of type of refund… never heard anything back at all from them

Zero stars if that was an option. Awful. Painted plywood on front of sink, no faucet on tub, just a pipe sticking out of the wall, room smelled like smoke… I didn’t even look any closer than that. Sleeping in the car would be better than this hotel.

The price is definitely not worth it. First thing I noticed when I came into my room was the smell of cigarettes. There were holes in the walls. A lot of the holes got patched up but there were still some cracks and holes. The hot water didn’t work for either the sink or shower. I didn’t even want to sleep In the bed because I woke up with bumps as of a mosquito bit me leading me to believe there are bed bugs. (Please note I was under the covers as well making it hard for mosquitoes to bite me.) I did find a dead bug on the floor too.

Room is half renovated, the floor and beds are new, the bathroom and bathtub are terrible. Old AC, microwave and fridge.Fair wifi, not much traffic noise.Basic breakfast: terrible instant coffee, cereals, bagel, waffle.

I was highly pleased with this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The building itself was well-maintained, and logical in layout. However, the room was what earned this particular hotel five stars instead of four: it was larger than average, more of a suite or studio apartment, yet still competitively priced. Also, the room was luxuriously furnished, with a massive bed and elegant, real-wood furniture. I experienced no problems with my stay. If I had to provide a negative, it was the continental breakfast, which was fully average, with no hot items (though, it was still a breakfast, and free). So, a big thank-you to all involved with this establishment. I am grateful for your service.

Good stay for the money spent. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. No water issues. Only reason hotel recieved a 4 instead of a 5 is the front desk female was rather snappy when I called to ask questions about the property. She demanded if I had anymore questions I could "go to another hotel and ask them about their facility". (Not the best attitude for a business). Otherwise, the stay was nice

This hotel is absolutely awful I would have been better off in the woods...... 80 dollars for this staff is horrible and lazy.... The hotel is severely outdated..... the plugs make a buzzing sound..... the fridge is freaking hidden under the TV in the fake dresser..... The shower/tub is rusting through and the drop ceiling above the tub is about to fall in the tp holder is falling out of the wall.... The breakfast was eww at best almost rotten bananas stale begals no juice or freeze dried instant coffee...... I can't repeat this enough DO NOT stay here...
