One of the nicest Dollar General Stores I have ever been in. It was well stocked and there was no clutter up and down the aisles. As I went toward the back of the store, I could see in the stock room and it was very neat and tidy, no boxes blocking anything. The management could give some of the other locations a lesson in how to operate a business.

The staff is awesome. Not sure what the big feller that works his tale offs name is but he is SUPER helpful always.. and my cashier tonight was quick and very pleasant. She even loaded my things on my cart while I ran and grabbed something I forgot.

Love being so close to where I live and work! Very busy store for a small town, so it could use more employess and keep shelves stocked. The employees that work there are really kind and hard workers. I would recommend to owner to have a full time register that didn't have to stock to, because it takes them away from register the store is to busy for them to have to do both. Customers have to wait for them to come back to register.

I was in Old Fort for the Thanksgiving holiday and I had to stop in unexpectedly for feminine products. After making my purchase, out of pure necessity I asked to use the restroom (something I never do in a Dollar General because every one I've ever seen has been disgusting). I was pleasantly surprised when I went into the restroom. The floor was clean, the toilet was clean, the sink was clean, and it actually smelled clean. Out of curiosity, after leaving the restroom, I walked around the store just to see how it looked because this was the first time I had EVER seen a clean Dollar General restroom. For the most part, the aisles were clear, the floor was clean, and the shelves were well stocked. I saw one employee with a large cart stocking the shelves. I've always said that it must be a requirement for all Dollar Generals to be nasty. It seems even the new ones are filthy within few weeks. Not this one!

I would say the six out of seven people you will encounter during your visit who work for the dollar store will be extremely Pleasant, accommodating, and personable. And the 7th isn't short, or rude or anything like that , I believe she's just more about business. I love coming here, even if it's just to put money on a card. However, they also have fresh produce so it is rare that I just go there to put money on a card. The Dollar General in Old Fort is incredible. And it is that way because of the employees, no doubt about it.

The messiest store I have ever been in!!!A much needed upgrade to this store has improved it substantially. The parking lot has more cars so other people feel the same way. GOOD GOING DOLLAR GENERAL of Old Fort, NC!!!!!!KUDOS to all that were involved with the undertaking

sold me and my husband expired product and absolutely refused to exchange it, even threatened to call the police on us. This dg sucks and will NEVER get my or my husband business again. You need new employees over there, maybe youd get better reviews and people who wanna return to this location.

I went here today with my 4 year old daughter and was at the far end of the aisle where the mops are when I heard the store manager spout off about how " It would be nice if parents watched their kids for christ sakes" as she was picking something up off the floor at the other end of the aisle. My daughter was the only child in the store at the time when she said it but my child not I had been to the area where she was at. I felt like she was aiming her hateful remarks at me so I spoke up and said some of us parents do watch our children. She never responded and avoided contact with us the rest of our visit. But I am not happy with the way were spoken to and definitely not the way a manager should act in a retail business that depends on repeat customers. Customer service can make or break any retail business. I am not going back to this store period.

The upgrade to the store is wonderful, isles are clear now (one of my pet peeves). It is always good to see improvement to a local business as well as additional choices. It makes shopping locally much easier!

The Isles are way too narrow, if you are using a shopping cart and someone is coming from the opposite direction there is not enough room to pass each other. Also there are boxes and merchandise in the aisle and in every aisle that you must Dodge as you shop. If you need one or two items and the Dollar General store is closer for you then driving all the way to town to go to a regular grocery store then by all means buy those couple of items at the Dollar General store otherwise I would recommend going to the regular grocery store. The prices in Dollar General Store are not that much of a bargain either, some of their prices tend to appear as a bargain when in fact they are higher than a normal grocery store. Personally I do not like shopping at Dollar General Store but do so when it is most convenient and when I only need one or two items.

They were so nice to me in this store. I had picked up something that had a sale sign on it. Of course it didn't come up as on sale. They decided it was left by accident. They got the person in charge and he gave me the item at the sale price since it was their mistake. They were very kind and appogetic for any problems it may have caused. I will use this store again.

Needed help. Brakes went out and I was traveling alone. Another 600 miles to go. Stopped here for directions to a garage.Got hugs. And a customer made me follow her to the garage. And stayed until I calmed down.As ALWAYS, Dollar General provided what I needed. I dearly love Dollar General. They ALWAYS take time to help me.(Got home safely)

It's a Dollar General. Nice employees, store can be cluttered and shelves in disarray. Stores operate on a low payroll to maximize profits.

They need a more adequate fresh fruit and vegetable selection also they need to keep their price tags and item placement cards more accurate.,I give them 3 out of five until they correct this

Seems like most dollar general stores are poorly managed or underemployed. This one is no different, one register open with 3+ in line, carts blocking multiple aisle's.

The wait in line to pay is rediculous.it always is.you have 3 registers but only use one.theres no reason for customers to have to wait like we do.
