Mt wife died on October 11th of metastatic beast cancer and their automated phone system calls every day to tell her that her prescription is ready. They don't answer the phone of course to get it stopped, and the "press 1" has no options for a death. This is a daily reminder that my wife of 48 years has passed. At some point it would be nice if a real person answered and my wife was removed from their system. It looks like this will go on for eternity.

If you call this store to refill a prescription that you know that you have refills on, they will tell you they'll need to contact your doctor because they can't find the refill information but you can go to the store and ask them to look and in seconds they'll find it. They do this to a lot of customers. The women there sure do like to stand around and talk alot too. I edited this review after I noticed all the other customers with having similar issues with rudeness of the staff. I was told that the head person of the pharmacy would call me to address my issues but never got the call. By looking at the other reviews I probably won't. I'll be transferring all prescriptions elsewhere and I'd advise others to do the same. This store has went down hill. Needs new management badly.

Pharmacy staff simply doesn’t care. Severe lack of compassion and basic human kindness. This location was less than a mile from my home, but I am happy to drive to Walgreens in Viewmont hickory where I’m treated with kindness and respect

I called and verified this location had the syringes I needed, and drove 13 miles to purchase them. Though having bought syringes for my medication at the Mountain View and Conover locations, after arriving the Newton location they arbitrarily decided it was “company policy” not to sell them to me as I had not bought the actual medication (1.79 times more expensive) from CVS.I am changing the meds we purchase from CVS to another provider. Old grumpy and miss stumpy in the Pharmacy are overdue for training in customer service.

Every time I speak with someone here they have an attitude. They act like all customers are a burden. They never have my prescriptions ready when I need them. They will even text me and tell me it’s ready then I go pick it up a few minutes later and they tell me they haven’t even started on it yet. They never have anything in stock. Take forever to answer the phones. Attitude and customer service all around is terrible!

This pharmacy is absolutely by far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to!! The chubby blonde haired pharmacist lady is incredibly incompetent, disrespectful, and discrimination is probably her most prevalent trait. If she doesn't like you for whatever reason, or doesn't personally agree with the medication your doctor has prescribed, she will flat out refuse to fill it. Even if it is perfectly within time frame and insurance approves the fill request, she will process the prescription but then put it on hold and refuse to fill it if she doesn't feel like it. This has happened countless times to several people. She has been reported to corporate and the board. I won't ever have my prescriptions sent to this CVS again, even after being a customer for more than 10 years. Her nasty attitude and discrimination has ruined what used to be the best and most hassle free pharmacy around. Hopefully she goes somewhere else soon!

The incompetence and mismanagement of this pharmacy is staggering. Rarely can you go in and not have something that is messed up. They lose prescriptions, claim prescriptions can’t be filled, disallow vaccinations that are clearly allowed, and the place looks and acts like a disorganized mess. This is not typical of CVS, but the Newton location needs to be put under new management. I will never go back.

Walgreens has been requesting my medication to be sent there for refills as I never want to step foot in this CVS again. Have made three attempts sense 4/26/22 with no response from CVS. Filled a compliant with the NC Board of Pharmacy. This is simple and can be done online. This CVS needs to be shut down !

The pharmacist that worked last night (Thursday 04/07/2022) needs to learn how to count!! I hope considering you went to get a degree you do realize that not all months have 30 days, some like MARCH...HAVE 31 DAYS IN A SINGLE MONTH!! Making the 7th of April 27 days. That's why the doctor refills the rx for pickup for management medication. The pharmacist going on a power trip and holding someone's RX should be illegal and you should have your licenses jerked away and slapped with a massive lawsuit for interfering with people's lives just because you feel you can or because you're just not in the mood to put 2 bottles in a bag because it's 8pm and you close at 9pm. I will be going to corporate with with because reading through all these awful reviews of just the pharmacy at CVS something needs to be done because they are getting away with doing whatever they want and playing with people's lives! The entire pharmacy staff needs to be retrained, probably just fired and start over with better customer service and basic counting skills!

Walked in and was told by pharmacy employee, Angela, that they were unable to administer the Moderna vaccine due to staffing issues and that my partner and I should return tomorrow to receive it. I sure wish the staff in Emergency Departments could say the same to patients who show up for treatment! Afterwards, I saw that there were appointments available online beginning at 4:30pm today, called to confirm accuracy and was told that if it was displayed on the website then it was correct… It was quite the slap in the face to tell two frontliners that you are “too busy,” but complete disrespect to lie about availability for the day. Went to CVS on 321, where they were also very busy, and gladly waited after being told that there would be a wait time.

Was visiting from out of town. Very fast service. Man that came to the window was nice asked if I was allergic to any antibiotics. What I was picking up. Was in and old of the drive-thur in just minutes. Thank you!!!!!

Pharmacist Kathy is rude I don’t care that you’re not from around here this is Catawba County ok don’t be so quick to say “I’m not from here I don’t even know how to help you….”What????She is pure evil if a child needs meds help out that family find out where to get that medicine for that 1 year old child . This is the only CVS I've been in in the past 6 months and one of only two that I have been in over the past year or so. I've been maybe 3 or 4 times total. Only once over that time did I need to deal with the pharmacy at all. I was enrolled in a $5 per month program that they have, without my knowledge. They took that money from my account at odd times throughout the next six months. I didn't even go to CVS throughout those six months for any reason. One Sunday morning about 2 a.m. I got a text message about this $5.35 charge. I looked back and realized I hadn't been getting those messages. I did find the charges in my checking account and realized they came at irregular intervals. One would bethe 14th, the next would be the 20th etc. I never made use of this program that gives you $10 to spend on CVS items and 20% off or something like that for CVS store brand stuff. Never used it, not one time. so about $45 when you include tax is what I spent on this program without my knowledge. They refused to refund even half or a couple of months worth. I will not be going to CVS again, which I told them on the phone. You could have given me back $20 of the $45 and I would have had no issue because, after all, it is ultimately my responsibility to recognize money's coming from my account. But if I owned a company and was charging someone for something like this who never used their CVS card for the six months following the beginning of this little plan I would make an attempt to contact them to be sure they wanted it. Because once they figure out they're paying for something they didn't know they had or have not been using they're not going to be happy. So now they have guaranteed themselvesv$0 from me, forever. At this point it would take far more than $20 to change my mind. It would take more than money. Like an actual honest, fair and decent company. This occurred during the pandemic as well so while Verizon and most others are working to help consumers, these folks...not really. I've been with Verizon for 20 years so great companies get my loyalty and I'm loyal to those who earn it.

I plan to move my prescriptions from cvs and go mail order, because when you have so much business your employees have no respect for the customer. Like me if you have experienced the same at CVS in Newton. Thanks.

Just transferred to CVS from Harris Teeter in Charlotte. Process was easy and all online. Picked up my 90 day supplies after notification by text. Just like it's supposed to work!!

I called over the phone yesterday for a refill on a prescription. I was told it would be ready at 6 the same day. I came by the next day after work and it still had not been filled. It just seems unprofessional after almost 24 hours and they couldn't even have one prescription ready. I'm more irritated that I wasted my time than anything. Get it together.

I was using the self-checkout..And it was giving me a problem, it kept getting hung up. Hannah!!!So amazing 👏 kept coming up everytime I hit the help button..WHICH WAS A Lot!!! Stopping what she was doing and assisting me..This is the nicest person I have ever encountered at this location.She desrves a raise. Thank you so very much Hannah 💯

For the third and last time this pharmacy takes for ever to get something filled. Dr called script in for my son at 4pm… 3 hours later still not ready and won’t be til later tonight. Reason being …short handed… which I get and do not blame employees…I blame cvs and poor management. I’ll definitely be finding a local independent pharmacy from here out

I am writing this for my mother-in-law to assist her with writing a review. I am quoting her words."I had a terrible experience with the pharmacy here. I receive a monthly prescription through here for pain management. This is the first time I have experienced an issue like this and I am very upset with the way it was handled. when I received my prescription this last time, I noticed the bottle was half the size as normal. While I thought it was odd, I assumed they must have changed the size of their pill bottles. I usually receive 90 count for my prescription and this time I realized there was no way they put 90 pills in this small bottle. I called to ask the pharmacist about it and she explained that there was nothing that could be done because the computer listed 90 count and the bottle listed 90 count. Then she preceded to tell me, "I should to watch everyone in my household". I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated. While I'm short on my prescription for the month, the real issue here is that there are about 30 pills missing and I know it wasn't my household, so that leaves the pharmacy. (I really do not think you can fit 90 pills into the small bottle they gave me). Regardless, I shouldn't have been spoken to the way I was in this situation."- Kim Watson

We have made a requested to move our prescriptions to a friendly and professional location and will no longer do any of our business with CVS .Pharmacists at this location must have an bad Reputation when your local Doctors Recommend you and your family members to send your Prescription to another place . They never said why and OMG did we find out just how awful and unprofessional they are.....Believe me they don’t even deserve one star!

Service is always super slow. Lines are really long. Constant texts that your medicine is ready but then you get there after waiting in line and are told it’s not ready and that their text system sometimes has a glitch in it.

I never leave reviews. However, this pharmacy is either never opened or when they are, their staff are disrespectful and unwilling to help. I understand staffing shortages, and the feeling of being overworked, but this does not give the staff the right to be rude to their customers.

I am not going to use a self check out when the employees are standing right behind me, having a conversation, waiting on me to check myself out... I know you might be short handed, but I do not pay to check myself out! Poor customer service 7/26/22
