I can’t say enough good things about Kitty Hawk Kites!! We frequent the Nags Head location usually, but we also went by Manteo and Duck locations this past week. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Huge selection of kites, novelties, clothing, etc! They even spent about an hour with my husband finding obscure parts to repair a vintage kite. Kitty Hawk Kites is always a highlight of our annual trek to the OBX. Thanks for everything, y’all 🤙

It's been years since I was last at Kitty Hawk kites! Upstairs is where all the great toys and kites are. They have some different clothing styles you won't find in other stores. Still have the rock climbing wall. A must stop and shop when visiting the area!

The customer service of this company is phenomenal. I was trying to coordinate booking a reservation for my large family and spoke with one customer serviceagent many times. Rowan was professional, patient, and overall enjoyable in the four phone calls that we had. She was super helpful and ultimately my interaction with her is what led to my decision to utilize this company for our fishing charter trip. Thank you, Rowan!

this store has an incredible variety of OBX souvenir items, unique selection of gift items, apparels. Got few nice t shirt and sweatshirts. Friendly employees. will surely check this place out on our next vacation for kites and spinners.

The store and location are cute as well as the kites flying are super neat. The disappointment comes in charging each kid $7.00 to hunt in your little fenced in area a bunch of EMPTY eggs. At least put some candy or something in them. My 4 year old utter disappointing look that every egg he opened was absolutely empty was heart breaking to watch. I have never ever been to an egg hunt in my life, that if they are charging, its for empty eggs that you even ask for back when they are done. Coupons could have been put into those eggs for the store or even just anything or offer a Kona ice that was there. This definitely could have been done differently. Do not charge a kid a $7.00 fee for empty eggs. That is very wrong!

Great place!! I stopped in just to see how high the kites was and to laugh at the price. And I was wrong. Yes some can be over $100 but they are really big. The other ones have really good prices. There also a lot of other stuff shirts, toys, yard flags, gnomes, puzzles and I lot more. If you are driving by I would say stop in they have something for everyone. The 3 photos I added are just a few of the higher ones there are a lot that are way way cheaper and they are good size also.

This Kitty Hawk Kites location is enormous! It has a very wide selection of not just kites, but all kinds of gear, accessories, and gifts all in the theme of some popular aspect of the Outer Banks. There is a fantastic floor of just aviation themed merchandise for sale, too. If you are looking for a one-stop-shop for gifts or anything like that and are in the area, I highly recommend. 👍

We've been to several locations and they're all great. This particular trip my husband needed info on a specific kite, and the ladies there were friendly and knowledgeable, and gave him the info he needed plus contact info for their resident kite expert! They sell more than just kites - I picked up a couple of fahlo bracelets, a sticker for my car, and a game for my kids (Tenzi, and we all love it!). We will always be customers here!

I have to say this kite shop is awesome. They have it all and the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. They have loads of spinners for your yard and of course from mild to wild kites. This is a must see shop and I highly recommend them.

We did the Manteo Ghost Tour. It was so nice and informative. Beautiful little town. Nice walk along the dock to the lighthouse. Julia was our guide. She had great stories and was really fun.

These people are super nice! We went to see Jockey's Ridge at sunset which is right at closing time for the shop. When we came off the dune, it was 7pm, their stated closing time. The lady at the register invited us in to shop as much as we'd like and was happy for us to be there. We really appreciated that and felt they should be recognized for their excellent customer service!

Wonderful store, management, and employees. So many cool things to look at and purchase. Best “one stop shop” on the island if you ask me! KHK is a staple in the community and the best part of the OBX! Check them out - they’re worth the visit and/or purchase.

This is an amazing store if you're looking to buy kites for the beach. They recommend buying a stronger string (50 pound) so that the string doesn't break while flying the kite. The employees are really experienced and are able to give great information in regard to assembling, and flying kites. In addition to having a huge variety of kites, they have an amazing selection of souvenirs especially t-shirts. While it is a souvenir shop, it didn't feel like a tourist trap. The prices were reasonable for the quality of product that they were selling.

Attended my first Rogallo Kite Festival and Kitty Hawk Kites puts on an awesome kite display. They offered free lessons with sports kites provided a great day on Jockey's Ridge.

Go to the fudge shop! They make it right there in front of you! Great place to get a vacation keepsake/teeshirt too! If you can make it to the top they have a bird's eye view of the sand dunes that is nice.

Overcrowded and poorly ventilated/cooled. There is a lot of selection off goods and souvenirs in this shop, but the way the displys are set, so full and so close,there's barely enough room to move. Everything is, as expected, overpriced. But you can find a few rare gems and clearanced items in here. Everything from shirts (mostly) to sandals, toys, and kites. You can even climb the rock wall or Try out hang gliding.

Lots of souvenirs and shirts. However, we came exclusively for the penny press souvenir and left super bummed because it’s out of order. If you’re a collector, I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure it’s functional before making the drive.
