Of the 4 pharmacies we have used in Murphy (Walmart, Kings and Ingles) and now Walgreens, Walgreens is by far the worst. I don't have any issues with the pharmacy staff, they're just overworked and understaffed, it's usuallythe automated phone system.They are also the highest price for most things in Murphy. Case in point, Coraciden cough syrup at $17.99.Both Ingles and Walmart have the same thing for $11.00.Walgreens is just plain ripping off people that buy things from them, imo

Closing at 6 pm is absolutely ridiculous, I know so many people have the whole day to go to Walgreens cause they have unemployment and stimulus checks, but some of us have stayed working through covid and can't make it to Walgreens before 6. Unacceptable!

I have not gone to this pharmacy in awhile but sad to say the same condescending male pharmacist is still there. Judgemental if you take pain medicine and they never listen. 3 times I gave them my updated info but when they ran out of my one medication on the weekend he called my old non working number and even argued with me. Walgreens treat your customers with respect.

Getting some prescriptions is awful. Especially pain medications. I had neck surgery and had nothing but hassles getting them filled!

Worst pharmacy ever. Drop something off. Go to counter and ask after 30 minutes. They just walk off. They don't answer the phone. Ridiculous

Horrible pharmacy. The worst I have ever been to. Takes 2-3 days to fill a prescription. I personally know about the staffing conditions of this pharmacy from a few people I know, and I can tell you that they are perpetually a week behind in “promise times.” They are short staffed beyond any merit of hope, as corporate has slashed their hours to less-than-Bare-bones.Do you want tired, anxious, overworked, underpaid, stressed out people handling your child’s medications?Support your local independent pharmacy. Kings Pharmacy is a wonderful, fully staffed pharmacy with happy people eager to make your experience wonderful.Stay away from Walgreens. It is only a matter of time before you or a loved one is harmed, or worse, killed because of the horrible, atrocious, sweatshop conditions that corporate makes the staff work in.Turnover rate here is incredibly high. You do not want to shop here for prescriptions.... not if you care about the health and well being of your loved ones.

This is a beautiful new Walgreens. I do however have two issues, one being the phone system and one with the pharmacy. 1. Regarding the phone system, I have waited to speak with someone in pharmacy over 20 minutes. When I am the next caller, I am hung up on. I then call back and wait again hoping that someone will answer the next time. 2. Regarding the pharmacy, I have found the people who work there to be nice. The problem is they seem to be understaffed. I really do believe this adds to the long wait times and chaos in this department. I don't blame the staff for this, I blame the manager for not talking with corporate and adding additional staff. I really believe by being so understaffed you are setting yourself up for a major problem down the road. Example: A cardiologist prescribed Xarelto to a person who had been diagnosed with a major arrythemia on a Wed. Early afternoon. The status of the prescription kept indicating it was being processed that day and the following day. There was no problem with insurance as this plan pays 100percent without authorization. I called and waited the 20 minutes to speak with someone in Pharmacy and then the phone was hung up before getting a chance to ask my question. I called back and held another 20 minutes only to be told, the prescription had not been signed off on from by the pharmacist.I share my concerns with you to please, look at the volume of customers vs. your staffing ratio in the pharmacy. I know I could go elsewhere but I love the shared computer systems and the fact I can go anywhere in a different State should I need a refill. Sincerely,

They always seem short staffed in the Pharmacy department, which makes them not as quick as some places, but they are quicker than some. I believe more staff would improve speed and allow the staff to smile a little more.

Worst pharmacy ever. They need more staff yo be able to assist people. Send text message saying scripts are ready get there wait about an hour outside or inside waiting in line. They should have the person go to the end of the line til meds afe ready instead of waitimg and not helping others. Tbe new pbone thing sucks its not very helpful. I call when they first open hour to speak call at different times long wait times. I have seem first hand thzt they have noone to answer phones. I have transfered my meds to ingles so much better serve. Still getting text messages about meds reasy and they have nothing on file 4 me. This is the worest walgreens ever. I have had bad ones but thid one beats them all.

I recently had to have a COVID test and David helped me ,,,,then when I didn’t get my results Steven helped me. Both were knowledgeable, patient, kind, and reassuring. They made my testing easy for me.

This is the most dangerous place to have medications filled in existence. Don’t believe me? Try calling them. See how long it takes a human being to answer the phone. See if they even answer the phone PERIOD. They are WEEKS behind in filling prescriptions. I used to work within this district for Walgreens... This district is run by an alcoholic named Wayne that frankly shouldn’t be within 100 yards of a pharmacy, as I have personally seen him womanize and berate people to such an extent that I truly feared for the safety of the unfortunate souls working there. THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO FILL PRESCRIPTIONS. There is a reason this pharmacy is so slow at filling prescriptions.

Most unprofessional people ever! Rude! Say your prescription is ready 2 days prior to when you go pick it up and when you get there. You are told no we don't have anything ready for you!! This is bad business!!

The pharmicst here filled a couple of prescriptions for my husband. The same provider perscibed two medications that the FDA says not to mix. The pharmicst did not catch this. On the sheets that they gave with medication it listed a drugs were listed under the generic name. I did not catch the mistake either. Due to the way the medications were listed on those sheets. It wasn't until my husband was sitting on the couch shaking uncontrollably and could not walk from one end of the house to the other without rest. I pulled the medications up on the FDA's website where it was listed by the brand name and showed me the interactions. I called upset wondering how they didn't catch the mistake. I was told that it was a rare reaction. Walgreens is my insurance's preferred pharmacy. This was my first experience with a big box pharmacy. Which can be good in emergency situations. However, I do not feel safe putting my family's health in their hands. If an error is made by a prescriber the pharmacy should catch the mistake too. The pharmacist should inform you. At least that is something I am used to having used small pharmacies my whole life. I will be going back to King's regardless if I have to pay a little bit more for medications.

Prescription was not ready when promised and pharmacist could not answer interaction questions. Said I am sure it is fine. Not reassuring seeing as their own included information packet states not to mix with the other drug that I had asked about.

I do a lot of photography work at Walgreen in Murphy, NC and have found the personnel to be especially helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I recommend it to everyone. Even when the mistake has been mine, they are quick to be there to help me make it right.

Very clean store. A wonderful employee walked back and got a bottle of Asprin for me, because I was having terrible back pain and couldn't walk that far. She has no idea how helpful this was at the time!! I don't know her name, but THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!! I highly recommend this store!!

This place needs demolished!!! They are the worst, incompetent group of "so-called" pharmacist that anyone ever gave a degree to! I have to call medicaid myself just to get my scripts filled. Doc calling in meds takes almost a full day just to fill. I can get a pharm lisence outa cracker jack box and do hell of a lot better that this entire pharmacy!!! I miss when it was Circuit World lol

I went grocery shopping still on hold..pulled into drive thru at Walgreens still on hold and mind you this whole time I was “ NEXT CALLER” This was not the first time. And they had nothing for me. Thank the good lord I don’t use them all the time. I stopped for this same reason. Too bad you can’t comment with NO STARS!!
