I love going to Roses. They have a good selection of flooring and furniture that are pretty decently priced compared to some other stores. Staff are always friendly and It's nice to have a store from my childhood that is still standing.

EDIT: 12/23/20 - During the covid-19 pandemic, I have not seen them be adequate with keeping their customers safe. There's no sanitizing station for carts every time I went inside. When I asked the lady up front if the carts were cleaned, all she did was roll her eyes and said yes. The employees didn't wear masks until early November when the second wave happened, and even then they were not wearing them correctly, they had it under their nose. Many others in the store also did not wear a mask while shopping even though the sign at the door states that you need one to enter. I guess Roses thinks that the virus isn't real and that they can't be in violation as long as they do the bare minimum. I used to love coming here and I spent a lot of my money here, but this is not how you protect your community. Thank God I have sanitizer in my car because I feel dirty every time I leave that place. In this reviews are photos of the lack of awareness of covid-19. They keep the bare minimum standards to not be fined, but can't even protect their own community. Cases are rising in McDowell County, and this place is becoming an epicenter for it. Super disappointing to see because I liked this place a lot.

One of the last reminants of the chain "Roses". This store is only still running in my opinion, because of a dying customer loyalty (old age). I have had people come to me and complain, that the manager profiles people who are young, lies and harasses customers.

This is a good place to shop for clothes, rugs, furniture, decorations, and general stuff. They repainted and repaired a lot this last year. It's a cheaper version of Walmart so just look close at your clothes and stuff but generally it's a good place.

This is a often forgotten gem! Best prices around and they have furniture now! Nice furniture! Name brand clothes and shoes at steep discount!

If I could share a less than one star review, I would! The WORST customer service ever! After all the cashiers absolutely embarrassed my family member in front of MULTIPLE people, one specific cashier continued to berate him for HER misunderstanding the size of a dog house he was purchasing! I have read multiple reviews of bad customer service from this store, and I always want to give the benefit of the doubt, but after what my family member experienced, I think some changes need to be made. I will say that when I called to complain, the manager did apologize and assured me that there would be a conversation with that specific employee about what happened, but there is no excuse for how rudely this person treated a customer! We will have to think long and hard about ever stepping foot back in there.

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I was ridiculed for bagging my own items (because I was tired of the long wait). However the rasicists remarks I received were uncalled for. There is NOTHING I NEED IN THAT STORE TO EVER RETURN!!!!!

Google states that this store closes at 8 on Sunday i callex this store 2 times at 5:45 and nobody pick up or answered. So i drove from Hickiry to there 45 mins because of the website say closes at 8 and i got there at 7:15 to find out that it was closed. The Roses in Hickory closes at 8 in Sunday's what makes this store any different. Why do you post that you are open til 8 if you close at 7. This is unacceprable and does your employees not know how to answer the phone like most people do. This is really again unacceptable . I am sure nothing will be done about this if you cant answer the phone i can figure you want respond to this review. I can assure you that i will find corporate number to call and report and i do intend to lite them up in the morning with what i had to deal with today. Furthermore i hope who ever was in charge for not picking up phone you get your rearend in trouble maybe lose your job.. if you cant work your store better than this just maybe you dont need to be the manager for this store. Whoever the PR person is needs to get the details correct on line and quit misleading the people with wrong tine you close. As for now thats all for my rant but god bless you because i was the wrong one to deal with this today.. GET IT TOGETHER ROSES OF MARION NORTH CAROLINA .Sincerely a paying customerShane

So i went there to buy a kitchen table in the future section and there was a guy back there and i asked him if he could help me he said no I’m on my lunch break for 20 minutes so i came back in 20 minutes and he said the same thing then just walked away bad set

Everything that I sell online that I can sell cheaper than Amazon for the exact same product, I buy at the roses in Marion. Although, I believe the furniture Department is separate from the actual roses, there is an extremely helpful young lady that works there who deserves all the commissions she gets and many many more. Buy your furniture from Brickhouse!

They certainly don't have the selection that larger retail chain stores do, but they are doing a great job staying open what with the competition nearby. I shop here all I can to try to support them so we don't lose them!

Good place to buy something cheap....but most of the staff are rude or the ones I've dealt with are any way.....act like it will kill them to have to move or do anything other than stand there and talk.

I picked up the space jam hat. Moments later a man came and took it out of my cart. It had a barcode on it for roses. He stated that it was his managers but it was on the floor for sell. I won't be back if this is how it works here.
