So, I was so hopeful for a better updated rating of this business, but unfortunately, it's not and sorry to say, but this falls on yall. It was your decision to decline services to my mom today even though she was not the one who gave yall the bad rating..it was me! She shouldn't face the consequences of my doings, but since yall want to be petty, instead of yall trying to make amends on the unfortunate last visit, let's do this again. "My mom" walked in today to give yall more business, and she said that upon walking in, she could feel the tension in the air from one of the receptionists. My mom did not even know that I had even posted the last review, so she was wondering why there was tension from one of the girls. The new receptionist, which was nice, preceded to wait on my mom and once pulling my mom's chart, he said that there was a note on "Her" file, not to see her pets anymore. Now keep in mind.. "I" posted the review... NOT MY MOM. She knew nothing about the review! Also, keep in mind that my mom has been a client of this business for probably over 25 years, since Dr. Baird owned the business. The other receptionist who had acted off told my mom that they would no longer be seeing her pets because of the review she posted & that she practically called the doctor a liar, & theres another vets office down the road that you can use. My mom said I haven't posted a review, and much less, I don't even have a Facebook. The receptionist then said well u need to talk to your daughter." So tell me this..what's the difference in my mom calling him a liar when yall called my mom a liar..?? Plz tell me! My mom doesn't lie, and she will be the last person to ever lie about something. Accidents happen, and we understand that, but don't try to push it off on my mom as a liar just because yall messed up not once but twice on the bill. First, for billing her another clients bill, then having to go back to fix that, to having to go back again and fix the bill bc you overcharged! Then call her a liar bc she said her cat only got one shot, but yall charged her for 2! Even the doctors response to her saying the cat only got one shot is --- "Alot of people come in here and say that"-- so if lots of people are saying that..then whats really going on?!! Do u expect her not to say anything?? Wouldn't you?? And then you take the review that i posted and put it on her when it was my doing. Im 37 years old and have my own animals. Take it up with me..not her! Anyways..yall pay attention to your bills! Smh... some kind of business lol they would rather run you off than admit to a mistake and try to make things right. So here's you another review!

We had to put our long time family pet down due to cancer. The Dr. and staff were compassionate and informative with the options and explained them well. A very caring facility. We plan to get another pet and they will be our veterinary service!

My boxers ears are crooked. They got infected and when I called for them to see him the Dr there couldn't see him I had to take him to my other dogs vet. They've yet to even call to check on him or anything will never go back or never refer anyone there .

We switched from another vet back to Dr Baird and his staff and what a difference it has made. You’re greeted by the staff and your pet gets the absolute best treatment possible. The other place lost it’s caring for your fur- babies in the worst way. They even started charging an unscheduled appointment fee which was totally unacceptable and wrong. Your pet gets hurt or sick and you go there unscheduled and bam you’re hit with a stupid fee. Dr Baird’s office is going to be our pets forever vet’s office. They are the best in professionalism and caring.

Love taking my pup here! They're so kind! My nervous Nellie is so excited to go to the doctor. I also worked with a Megan, who I believe is a vet tech. My dog was so excited to see her! She loved her like she was her own. Best feeling ever. 😌

Dr.Beard and staff are very caring and knowledgeable.I feel very comfortable leaving my pets at the facility and of the treatment given if needed. When I call or come in they know my name and my babies names. It’s like an extended family for us. We have been using Bairds for about 15 years!

We took our fur son to get a checkup. From the time we came in the doors until we left..it was amazing. My baby got the care he needed. So glad to see a staff that care.

I have to say by far the staff and Dr. Desse is the best you would want for your fur babies. They did not hesitate to get my Chloe and Buddy in to be checked and taken care of. I would recommend Baird’s for all your fur babies.

Awesome experience! Took my puppy Kash there after being misdiagnosed buy another vet, and they help me get to the root of the problem very quickly. Kash also goes there for his grooming. They do an awesome job all around.

Had to get my dog seen because he was having a allergic reaction to something they had him back there and giving him meds to help his swelling I'm very pleased with them

Go in to get a dog chipped and he has had a spot under his eye that keeps coming pack past month. Vet chips the dog, looks in his mouth and gives antibiotic for the spot and charges $200. And was extremely rude when told I was moving and couldn’t go back to have him do his teeth. Walks out while I’m in mid conversation and says something to the nurse. I am clueless to how there are so many positive reviews.

Our new puppy has had a rough go. We noticed that her leg was not working correctly. I panicked and looked for a vet that could possibly get us in (this was at 4:30pm on a Friday). I found this vet and I called and they said bring her in. So I get there and they tell me upfront what the cost will be of some of the services that they may have to do. I get into the room with my puppy and the Vet comes in, talks to me for a minute and takes a look. He explains what was wrong, and that he could do x-rays, but they really aren't needed as everything feels fine. He did not waste my time or my money. He answered my questions and I left feeling confident and relieved. I spent a total from the time I got there to the time I walked out, 1 hour. And that is because I asked questions and chatted more than I needed.I really do recommend this Vet. Their staff was nice and the vet seemed to be no nonsense. I will definitely be recommending and going back.

We had an emergency situation with our dog and our current vet at the time would not see her and the emergency vet in Wilmington was full and would not offer any assistance. I desperately started calling to find help and Bairds answered the call. The vet and staff were wonderful! We had to leave our dog there for observation and surgery. The staff helped us to feel comfortable about our decision. She ended up staying for a few days and was very well cared for while she was there. I definitely recommend Bairds.

I would have given less than 1 star. We picked out dog up on Friday and paid around $750 only for our dog to be dead the next day. It was my oldest son's dog my youngest had to witness him actually dying. I feel they could've done more or kept him there until he was better.

I called without my dog ever being seen there. He needed his teeth cleaned. I had got a quote from another vet that was going to cost twice as much. They got him in within a week and took exceptional care of him. Thanks a lot to Kelsey for making me and Banner feel comfortable while he was away and scared.

We are so thankful for Dr. Deese at Bairds animal hospital. He has been treating my little man for about a year for bladder stones. He has worked him for visit we were not scheduled for. Anytime I’ve had questions and called he has gladly taken my call without hesitation. He just recently performed 2 surgeries on my dachshund and i don’t have one complaint. You can tell he truly loves what he does. He staff is super friendly and will help anyway possible. Definitely recommend over any vet I have used before.

By 21-year-old dogs normal vet was unavailable for an appointment till next Thursday and he had symptoms of a possible bladder infection. Not wanting to wait until they're available appointment because of his age and blood in his urine, I hit research on Google and narrowed it down to 103 vets we could see him today. When I explain the circumstances this one was able to get me in today if I was there before 5:00 never having been there before. This staff was friendly professional caring from the front office all the way to everyone in the back. Ladder infection positive extremely high white blood count in the urine. Antibiotic shot antibiotics to take home bed exam urinalysis rabies vaccination and nails trimmed by my request all for under $200! For anyone in the Lumberton area or even whiteville where I drove from 35 minutes away, I highly recommend dispatch office. Even once a year-end sample bought back in about a week check to make sure the white count is coming down. Said if I wanted to get the yard on my own and bring it right up as soon as I got it to save on some costs they had no problem doing that otherwise I can come in and sing your analysis fee for 35 and a reduced. Thank you so much guys for making an unexpected visit less stressful for my 89-year-old mother who has been taking care of the dog knowing that he could get it right away.

The whole staff is great! They treat your babies like they were their own. Explained everything to us. They are also great when it comes to boarding while you are on vacation! I highly recommend them!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The desk lady was absolutely awfully. She was not willing to answer any questions and instead of answering just hatefuly quieted us up!!!! We also were charged for things we did not ask for. Employees like this is what causes this business to lose clients!!! Her attitude was outright disrespectful and uncalled for. It costs nothing to be kind!!! And yet she sits there with a belligerent attitude to people who only had questions concerning THEIR pet! We will NEVER come back here! And that's sad considering this isnt the first time and we still returned. But not this time. We wont return this time and neither will family and friends associated with us who have also has bad experiences. And for that they can think the "staff", particularly just one.

Took my new fur baby to Baird's Animal Hospital and felt like family from the time I walked in the door. The hospitality was out of this world. All my questions were answered regarding my new baby. Will continue using Baird's Animal Hospital for all vet needs. Highly recommend to others.

Came in for a $18.50 fecal exam and left with a $173 bill. Like any other vet it’s impossible to only get what you ask for. Need to work on communicating cost to the customer before the bill.

At the end of the work day you come home let your dog out and boom he gets hit by a car! In 20 minutes I was in the exam room! Excellent Dr. excellent staff! Bruno was very lucky and so was I. If you and your pet are e an emergency situation and need a well trained and professional help look no further! Dr. Deese and his staff can handle it.

I called in to make an appointment and the person responded, you can come in today at 3:30pm, She insisted they had openings until 5:30p. I arrived around 3:40. (the lobby is narrow and I had to wait outside because a boxer was checking out and it appeared that my dogs and him were getting too excited.I waited another 10 minutes in the lobby while a patient discussed their RX over the check in desk, leaving me no option to get whatever paperwork they wanted filled out until they had concluded the conversation. There was urine on the floor in 3 places. When I was able to check in, it was 10 minutes to 4pm. At 4:45pm I still had not been seen, so I left. I actually do not appreciate the fact that I had lost so much time to something so disorganized.When I arrived home, I called and asked if that was typical of how they conduct business. I was put on hold for 4 minutes and someone returned and apologized stating that the Doctor had a busy surgery schedule that day, but keep in mind I had called to make an appointment at 3pm and was told they had openings , so the surgical appointments didn't materialize in the 30 mins from when I had called and arrived.I inquired if this is typical of how the practice is managed. I honestly don't have an hour to waste waiting, it was unnecessary. She told me I could just drop my dog off there- I informed her that I would not wish to do that, and then she confirmed that the practice typically runs that way. A shame that they don't respect their client's time and I won't be giving them another shot.

•Best vet I have taken my 🐕 🐕‍ to. I like how you ONLY pay for what your getting and no extra fees. Stays open until 22pm on Saturday but they always seems to be behind with those hours. Boarded my dogs for the first time here so I'll see how that goes.
