This is a GREAT boarding facility. Ed and his wife are very conscientious and take great care of the dogs.we have boarded numerous rescue dogs there. Ed always makes sure that they have had all shots & that there is NO DANGER of them having contagious. They have all seemed to have a good experience there. No issues at all. We are very grateful for helping us with some of our rescue dogs and for the great care he gives them. I would have no qualms taking my personal dogs there.

Wonderful people and wonderful service. They care for our dogs and we never have to worry when we are out of town. They have always been phenomenal with our dogs and taken great care of them. They are always willing to work with us. We would recommend Cozy Country Kennels for boarding.

We JUST left our dog for the weekend with them 3/15/24. Friday, Saturday Sunday and pick up Monday 3/18/24. All I know is my dogs paws were NOT bleeding when we dropped him off and they were when my husband picked him up. The owner said because my dog was pacing back and forth on concrete pad. ?? My husband picked our dog up a few hours ago and said this is what the owner said happened then said owner said he needs a sedative ?? What in the world. Now we have to take him to the vet. I need ANSWERS.

They took care of my puppy and my sweet cat for 4 months. And would have done it for longer no problem. His wife is wonderful and does the grooming. When I didn't have food he went out and bought it for me. They are the most wonderful people on this planet. And I would not have been able keep my animals without them. I now have my own place but it took a little time with this covid. And they were absolutely wonderful

I’ve been taking my pup here since he was a baby and he’s almost two now and still take him there. I am a truck driver so they help me out so much when needed to take him in and I will continue to take him there!

Ed & Cozy Country Kennels are amazing. Long story short, I was contacted about my dog, Ares, being in a shelter, after a year of him being gone. I never thought I would see him again. I am across the US, and Ed got him in last minute. I had nowhere else for him to go, and he was likely going to be euthanized. Ed is caring for Ares while I make arrangements to get back to NC to get my boy. Ed, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an amazing person.

I had taken my dog, Ace, to Cozy Country Kennels for 6 days hoping it would be a stress free experience, while I spent my time at the beach. However, when I came back and picked him up I noticed that his whole demeanor had changed. He wasn’t happy go lucky, had soft stools, and the kicker is he acquired a gash (now a scar) on the top of his head. It turns out that Ace had gotten a gastro-bacterial infection as a result of the kennel. He was unable to walk, unable to eat, limp. After being hospitalized it was determined that the kennel was the root cause of the infection. Truly saddened that I was unable to trust the owners to care for my dog. Leaving your dog in someone else’s hands is stressful enough, but to come back and find out my dog had become deathly ill is heart wrenching. Will not be taking any of my animals here EVER!!! “Keeping your animal safe while you’re away,” was not the treatment my dog received. If you are looking to board your dog here I highly recommended looking else where.

My father and I boarded two generations of pets (4 dogs total) over a 20+ year time period. We know the great passion Ed and his family have for all types of animals and it clearly shows. They always go the extra mile and will assist in any way they can. I trust Cozy Country Kennels with my beloved dog that I travel from Lexington to board him there exclusively. Ed is more than kennel owner, to us he has been part of the family!

Not sure if I posted before. I have taken my basset hound twice now to this kennel for about a week each time. Never a problem. She came back in good health and appeared well cared for. I will use this kennel again if the need arises.

I always board my Harley Mae at Cozy Country. They came highly recommended from my vet and I don’t worry about her at all while away. They are super nice, professional, and always courteous. The second time I boarded her there she knew where she was at and went right back to the kennel area with no problem. This was around a year ago. When I witnessed that I KNEW she would be just fine. I will continue to board her there and have her groomed also. Very highly recommended from me. Give them a try!

We have been boarding our dogs there for years. Ed and his son always take care of our dogs and provide accurate updates when we check in. We know the dogs will be cared for and don't have to worry while we are away. They are professional and accommodating. The environment is clean and well prepared for the dogs. I boarded my pup here for the first time this past weekend on a last minute trip. My dog is very high energy and was exhausted when we brought him home, which makes me believe he received lots of playtime and fun! The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because when we got home, I noticed that two of his meals were not given to him. Overall, I really enjoyed boarding my sweet dog with them!

I have a 6 month old Yorkie, and I was VERY nervous to board him. Ed and his son made me feel comfortable knowing Jax was safe, loved and taken care of. They put my mind at ease, my baby came home healthy, clean, and well fed! They gave him plenty of treats and attention, and went above and beyond. I called this facility on May 3, 2021 to inquire about boarding my animal aggressive 130lb bull mastiff for the wknd of June 24th. I spoke with the owner for 11mins regarding my dog's issues and what was acceptable and what was not. He assured me that he could place her in his "cujo run" and she'd be fine. June 22nd (2 days before my vacation)he called me to confirm the reservation and ask me if my dog would be okay with a docile laid back dog next to her? Absolutely not!! We discussed this in depth, for 11 mins in fact. Well as it turns out he had started to fill up quickly and wasn't willing to accommodate her any longer and he stated I was "essentially asking him to lose money by not putting a dog next to her". Fair enough! Do not agree to something when you're not getting very much business and then leave a client hanging when business is booming. Luckily after calling about 30 places I was able to find an establishment willing to accommodate her and couldn't believe the situation that this business owner put me in at the last minute. He was very nice and understanding upon our first conversation. I'm sure they're great for easy pets as I realize my dog is not, but i was misled to believe he could handle the situation and he did not stand by his word.

Been taking my dog to Ed a couple times a year for the last 3 years. Very honest and trustworthy and the facility is always clean. I love that each dog has it's own little runner to go outside or in without having to worry about mingling with other dogs.

I use Vi's grooming service. My dog always comes out so pretty and smells good for weeks. Very reasonable prices for grooming. Ed and his wife Vi are very nice people.

great place to leave my dog when i go out of town. each dog has his own space that connects to his own outside run. he can come in and go out whenever he wants. mine enjoys running and barking with whatever dog is in the runs on each side of his. if the weather is too hot or too cold Ed will close the runs off and run the air conditioner or heaters. i can bring his food, bed, blanket or toys or he can eat what Ed has. if you have 2 dogs they can share their space. the veterinarian down the road toward Ramseur is available if any problems come up with my dog. Best place i have ever found for my dog and he gets excited when he realizes we are taking him to his "camp"!

I'm very picky when it comes to my babies and have had nothing But bad experiences in the pastThank God for the friend that recommended me to cozy counntry kennels, I have no fear booking more trips in the future and not having to worry The worst thing was I don't think my puppies wanted to come home with me when I get there to get them thanks to vi and ed, there great people that truly love animals
