I will never order from these people again. What a hassle to put an order with them.***********Finally! The package arrived at its destination. My friend tried the canned peaches. She said they are great.Raised it from one star to three. If she is happy with the rest, I will order more stuff for her.* * *However, something has happened to my email account. I don't generally buy things online, and I mean practically never. It took me years of not giving out my email address before I virtually stopped getting junk emails. Then, within a few days of making this orders, I started receiving all sorts of junk emails. I have gotten more junk emails in the last week than in the prior twelve months altogether. I can't be sure that Vitacost has anything to do with that, but someone, somewhere got a hold of my email and has been selling it.* * *It has been three days since I place an order and the website still tells me "processing." This was a simple order: A few can products and some grains like those from Bob's Red Mill. I only placed this order online because the goods are going to a person who lives in an out of the way location and is not in good enough shape or has reliable transportation to be going out regularly. Too bad for Vitacost. I could have become a regular customer, but they don't seem motivated. I hate to order from Amazon, but I guess that's the only outfit reliable nowadays.* * *Because I have a friend who lives way out in the boonies and can't get out readily, I tried to put an order again (2024/03/13),but the website is even worse that before. I couldn't put in an order. The display in the screen would blow up and I couldn't see but about a third of a page at a time and I could not navigate. Don't have that problem anywhere else.

I have been a customer since 2010, vitacost has been so kind & helpful to me with any order issue. Always feel happy & excited when I receive my package from them, freshest stock, well packaged & prices are always better than many online retailers.

placed an order with them and received an email confirmation...but the order didn't arrive.i called their customer service and after a very long hold time, someone finally came on the line. she said that our order had been cancelled because of incorrect billing address. i repeated my shipping and billing info and they verified that this was what was entered on our order. she still insisted that it was incorrect.we received no phone call or email from them notifying us that the order had been cancelled. they just left us hanging.we order from amazon, walmart, target, best buy and every other online retailer with no problem using this same shipping and billing info.awful ordering experience. never again.

Don’t work here. EVER. They Cut everyone’s hours, you’re lucky if you’ll ever see 40 hours, BUT, and hear me out, BUT, they hire Instawork workers to come do the job too? That’s a degrading kick in the teeth. Give the people that work there their hours instead, if everyone has to leave early every night because there’s not enough work because the backlog is too low. Also, night shift manager is awful; Can’t do their own job, and if they have a bad day, so does anyone that comes in their path. Better for your health in every way to just stay away from the job.

I have a real conflict regarding Vitacost, Inc. Number one: Their products have always been top notch and I have been a VitaCost customer for over 15 years, probably closer to twenty. However, Number Two, I don’t give a fat rat’s rear how good a product is if the customer support, more and more, is really questionable. A quick lesson in geography might help. I live in Utah, less than 600 miles from the Las Vegas, Nevada warehouse, and usually receive a shipment the next day. But it seems that about half the time now the decision makers think it would be better to ship from Lexington, North Carolina which is two thousand three hundred plus miles away. Is there no one in the company with basic map reading skills who can look at layout of the United States and recognize which of the two warehouses is closer to my address? Nevada abuts on Utah and I usually receive an order the next day. The standard google map route shows traveling from North Carolina, through Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, a corner of Kansas, Nebraska, then Wyoming, and it still 150 miles to where I live. I am fortunate to get an order from the Lexington warehouse in 3 or 4 days. An example: I placed an order Sunday PM. Data should reflect the order was placed early Monday and from Vegas I would have had it yesterday. But what does tracking tell me. It says the order was placed Tuesday, the labels were printed in the afternoon, USPS picked up the package and, with luck, I should receive it later this week.At least when I order from Pilgrim’s Pride I know it is coming from Kentucky and can plan accordingly.This may be a little long for a communication I am sure will never be read by the company but I wanted to get it off my chest anyway.

This is the filthiest place I have ever seen. They do not rotate their stock. They throw enough away to feed all the hungry people in Lexington but they would rather put it in their dumpster. They donate a tiny amount to the food pantry so they can brag about it. Management is horrible. They treat the staff like slaves and do not give raises. They gave $0.15 to everyone in 2 years. They have constant complaints and don't do much to make the customers happy. Avoid this place like the plague in order your stuff from Amazon or anywhere but Vitacost. This place should be shut down by the health department. By far the worst place Ive ever worked, most poorly managed, and poorly staffed. The Labor Board needs to do something about this $hitshow. I heard Tammy and Beverly eloped to Afghanistan.

Just got this job here and from what I am seeing so far ... This is a good place to work at the work is not hard and the supervisor is a great person! All he wants you to do is work to the best of your ability and he treats people well like we are people and not machines. Communication is the key they say and I can see where communication makes a difference! Ive been there for a week and will be updating this review periodically from my experiences.

I have used Vitacost for years and have been mostly satisfied with their service. But lately their turn around time has been pitiful. They advertise fast delivery but my latest order has been over a week and it's not even here yet. I called 3 days ago and they told me it shipped but my status on-line said "not shipped". Last night I received an email stating your order shipped? So they flat out lied to me. Word of advice if you need anything fast don't use Vitacost. Go to your local health food store or use Amazon Prime.

I have been a loyal customer of Vitacost for over 10 years and recently their customer service has gone downhill. They canceled my last order after I received their order confirmation and never notified me of the cancellation. When I called their customer service I was told that they canceled my order because they would not honor the coupon they sent me! This is ridiculous and very misleading. First, they send me a coupon, then they cancel my order because I used the coupon they sent me and they never notified me. Vitacost just lost a long term customer :(

Great company to order from. Just got a great price (buy one get one free) on quinoa which my family eats like crazy. We also ordered raw honey which everyone loves. Great pricing and quick turnaround on orders. Very pleased. *Update* still same great service even during covid-19 pandemic. Placed an order just this morning and part of it already shipped. Phenomenal. Great customer service as well.

The product I was sold/ shipped was not even edible. Although the BBD was still fine, the product had clearly not been stored properly. After asking for a replacement, Vitacost made it very difficult on us and we were asked to pay for the shipping back to them, even though the problem was clearly theirs. They sound friendly and responsive, but you're taking your chances with this company, and good luck trying to resolve an issue after they have your money. Our order was over $200 and most likely we'll need to throw it away. Very poor customer service. Our family, nor our friends will use them again after this.

I've been a customer of Vitacost for the past 2-3 years. I order at least once a month and I have always found them to be a reliable and reputable (they're currently owned by Kroger) source for items I can't buy locally because I don't live anywhere near the health food grocery stores. Their prices are great and their customer service is excellent. They have a wider selection of non-refrigerated products than you will find locally even in a whole foods.So why did I only give it 3 stars? Two easily fixable problems.Problem number 1, the past few orders have contained items that were damaged but they weren't damaged while in transit. They were damaged before they were even wrapped up. Seriously dented cans, for example. If you want to convince people to trust you as an online grocer, you must leave out the damaged goods that we wouldn't select ourselves from the shelf. If something is damaged, why not offer a further discounted dented cans section? Yes, there was a no hassle refund for those items but c'mon man. Don't do that.The second problem is y'alls email list. It's like the only online place I actually want to receive emails from and I have contacted your tech support numerous times and tried different email accounts and while I get the emails temporarily and sporadically, I usually don't get them. It is not an email delivery issue. It is on your end! Why won't you please spam me like everyone else does!? I want your coupons and order status updates!The website and app could also use some improvement. It's a little dated in terms of functionality. Why can't we go back and edit reviews and why doesn't it save our identifying info for future reviews?

I made a mistake in my address and the first delivery failed. with Vitacost's customer service, I could give a new address to the sender and then, the re-delivery was successful without any cost, thanks to their effort. I'm going to give 5 stars to Canada Post as well, which returned the item mercilessly at the first delivery.
