In my visit today, I received exceptional service! Cashier and bagger were polite and efficient! Employees were helpful and eager to not only tell me where items were but went out of their way to show! I love Food Lion stores and this one is at the top of the list!

For those of us who despise the coldness of walmart, the lack of customer service and influx of people, food lion is a dream come true. It's a small grocery, but yet it gives off the vibe of small-town and the homey feeling. I always feel super comfortable in there, and everyone who's at the register is a delight to deal with. Fingers crossed, they don't drop the people at registers to utilize self check out because I will be furious, lol. I love food lion. They're also the only place around who carry Le Bleu waters, which is all we drink.

Food Lion is doing a good job on keeping prices low. Some items I can get cheaper at other stores, but overall, it's a good place for groceries.

In many ways food lion is like the old fashioned grocery stores, such as A&P Kroger, Discount House these store were great for the community. Food lion has very high standards and very clean friendly and great place to shop and if you a re a guy like myself c h we cking out the beautiful women.im a widow i am searching for a lovely women any food lion is very good store for all.

This is one of the nicer foodlions that I've seen. Good quality products at a fair price. Everything is always stocked and clean, the employees are friendly.My only complaint is the self check out. I understand that isn't necessarily the stores fualt, and that decision likely came from way above their heads. Those self checkouts are gonna be a cancer to that place I'm telling you...

Product selection is good. A lot of items you can't find at the "Walmart Market". Problem is when and if I use self checkout the big Muslim looking guy jumps off his 'perch' and starts walking all around me like some pathetic security guard wannabe. I know very well how to use this not so new checkout system so stay the heck away and quit trying to breath my air as I'm checking out! If I need your help I will alert you! Other than that it's a nice place to shop.

I have been going to this store ever since it opened. It's always clean, the employees are friendly but, ever since they opened self check out registers I have almost stopped going into that store. If you want me to do your job, then do not go around me with your hands behind your back and watch every single move I make. I do not agree with it, i did not ask for it and I refuse to use them.. employees you better wake up!! You will not have jobs if you except this.

My favorite Local Food Lion out of 5 or 6 to choose from! Not only do they stay open until 11:00 p.m. they also have self-checkout, unlike the others I've visited recently.The cashiers, management,& staff are all very courteous, helpful, & knowledgeable. The store is clean, kept stocked, has great sales & my favorite - closeouts! And parking's always a breeze!

The place stays pretty well stocked and is very clean. The only complaint I have is that most of the people who run the registers are not very friendly. You can say thank you, and they either ignore you or give you a really mean look like they hate their job. If you work in customer service, you should be very friendly and make others want to come back to that store.

I was checking out at self check out, and before we got to the self check out their wasn’t an employee checking on anybody before me and my husband got there. KEEP IN MIND THEIR WAS PEOPLE BEFORE US NOT GETTING STARED AT SO HARD.But, as soon as we got to the self checkout an employee came walking so quick and was just staring at us while we checked out. I’m Hispanic so is my husband. Idk if this was a racial thing or whatever but they was lucky I ain’t cuss them out bc the way they was starring at us like If I was stealing. We have the money to pay for all of our groceries. I always come and shop at this store.. but after this happening I wont be coming back.

UPDATE!!!! They have swallowed the kool-aid and now have self checkouts. SO DISAPPOINTING!!!! This store is always neat and clean. Most of the cashiers are courteous and friendly. Most importantly, there are no self checkouts!!! Kudos to you Food Lion. I will make it a priority to shop there every time over stores that force me to be an employee!!!

Very happy with ample selection of all brands and great products. Would give a 5 star review, but I've had some issues with pick up of groceries and couldn't get much help from the manager working at the time. She didn't seem to have the knowledge of all aspects of being a manager. Possibly needs more schooled employees.... But over all, it's my favorite store to shop at...thanks Food Lion for the services for the most part..

Unfortunately their staff is large in part young folks, who do a great job! It seems this location could benefit from management taking some leadership training, the "mood" inside amongst staff is not always respectful or professional. (Not that big of a deal). From a management stand point it's usually remedied with some engagement.

I couldn't find something and the manager took me right to it...Thanks!!Even though I've had mostly great experiences at Food Lion ... please stop blaming shortages of advertised products as a supply chain issue. You know about these sales well in advance. Stop offering excuses for not planning appropriately!!!

This is my favorite store to go to in Lexington. The employees are so polite and helpful. They usually offer to go to back to check if shelf is empty. The store is always clean an free of clutter. Shelf's are always organized.its very rare for items to be out of stock. The store will order extra if you call in for a large amount example wanting 20 packs of paper towels when on sale.the store is great with coupons and always try to make them work when they do scan or beeps. They had the small children buggies and the car buggies children can ride in. The will almost always offer to help you to the car when you have large amount of items.

I do not like Mexican food except for Tacos. So I got a taco and it was good except it only had meat and cheese on it. I would like to had lettuce tomato and sour cream, but that could have been my fault because I didn't know how to order since it was my first or maybe second time there. The waitress was very nice and efficient to our needs.

Seems to be hard to keep some things stocked. If you see an item selling more, order more for the demand. Still a need for more cashiers for those customers who don't want to be made employees by checking their shelves out.
