This place is wonderful! Great ice cream. Good variety of coffee. Fresh baked cakes too! The shop is houses in a restored barn with several different places to sit and eat.Also enjoyed watching the variety of farm animals and a few even came up and let me pet them.

This place is awesome! They make the best oatmeal pies I've personally ever had, and my wife enjoyed the pumpkin. Actually, all the treats were fantastic! This is such a wonderful place where you can see beautiful animals like goats, donkeys, turkeys, and a beautiful horse named "Glory," that they saved from being put down. The staff was wonderful and the ice cream and milkshakes were the best around. We live in Hiddenite but the drive was well worth it! Hart's General Store and Creamery will definitely put a smile on your face.

The people are amazing, the store always smells incredible, gorgeous decor and layout of the store. So many handmade items from small businesses! The mini zoo is an awesome contribution, as well as their Harts truck!

Clean and fresh environment. Homemade ice cream, sundae, smoothies, and shaved ice cream. Handful for toppings! Seating both indoors and out doors. Farm animals outside for children to enjoy. Book swapping , take 1 book and return another. Family owned and operated.

I’ve been wanting to come here for so long, and my fiancé and I finally went and I must say we’ll definitely be back! They had so many sweet options to choose from it was so hard to make a decision! And the cute rescued animals are another sight to see, I inside the building was a cute Zebu named Yoda. I can’t wait to come back!!

Always enjoy getting ice cream and desserts here. We usually go a few times per month. The owners and staff are always very friendly, and helpful. As for me and my family and friends, we all enjoy spending a couple of hours here just hanging out, eating ice cream, watching the animals, and catching up, spending time together.

Cute place. Met as we drove into the parking lot by chickens, goats, turkeys, ducks and more. Great little country store with clothes, jewelry, crafts. Great icecream and coffee bar. Great place to bring kids of all ages.

Such an awesome old timey local store. They have yummy ice cream & desserts. This is a great place to bring your children for more than just sweets. They rescue animals and have their own sanctuary for customers to visit, feed the animals etc. Great place to make a day trip to with the kids especially in the summer. Highly recommend!

Cute spot, over priced ice cream toppings 1.00 for each toppings is high, example 1.00 for 2 cherries is outrageous. Offering "special" cobblers that they do not have.... felt like a random barn with ice cream inside....I love supporting local businesses but don't try and make a killing off your supporters.... I would also recommend to bringing cash as they charge an additional 4% fee for using debt or credit. The ladies behind the counter were nice but seemed annoyed that someone walked in...

What a great venue! Thank you, Hart family for sharing your restored barn and farm with the community in such a creative way. It is a lovely space to bring family and friends to pause a moment and enjoy. Nice local crafts and arts for sale. The coffee and ice cream are wonderful. The animals are so cute and friendly. I am pleased that Hart's General Store is Lenoir. It's so nice to have a bright and hopeful place in these times.

Really cool place to go get some ice cream and hang out. They have all kinds of farm animals for the little kids to enjoy looking at. They have locally grown plants to buy, mostly ornamental bushes at a really good price. The gift shop has all kinds of things like local honey and goats milk soap. The ice cream is outstanding and they have a large variety to choose from, even shaved ice. Milkshakes, banana splits, they got it all and it's all delicious. If you haven't been, I highly recommend trying it out. The atmosphere is great and everyone is super friendly!!

A hidden gem just off Hwy 64/90 (literally). The venue is an old fixed up barn! Tons of charm, great customer service, and most importantly, awesome ice cream! All ice cream is from local dairy farms and baked goods are made in-house. They have all the flavors and then some! Sundaes, floats, and milkshakes are also available. Did I mention the farm animals? Great date night spot or fun family outing! A must-do if you are in the mood for ice cream!

We love this place! They are extremely friendly. They have the best ice cream. I actually got some coffee there today, and it was amazing too! They never disappoint. We love taking out-of-towners here.

Stopped in for ice cream. Discovered an eclectic delight. They had a real cowboy lasso!My 13-year--old was surprised and delighted to get it for Christmas. He didn't know he needed a lasso until he saw it.I got my mother a coffee mug made by a local potter with the silhouette of Hibriten Mountain on it. I had a great little moment when I realized I was purchasing it in the shadow of the mountain, itself.A fun stop. And the pumpkin ice cream was very good.

Was super cute love the animals outside had great deals on the crafts inside the store some things were kind of high but I went there for ice cream . My ice cream was $7 one scoop own a waffle cone and it tasted like refrigerant I got a honey almond ice cream. They were busy I wasn't trying to complain but Jesus Christ it tastes like refrigerant and I couldn't enjoy it ended up feeding it to the animals outside

Ice cream was great, kinda pricey, but good!! The thing that made me never come back was a blonde girl with such a bad attitude towards me and my family!! No smile, not even talking, we said thank you and she gave us the worst look! We were confused on where to order and we asked her if we could order and she gave us the worst look and said “uh yea”! Horrible attitude when I have been so excited to come here!

A little expensive, but you pay for the experience. It is a old restored barn and is really nice inside. The barnyard is full of farm animals. You even have the opportunity to lasso a fake bull. The staff was really nice.

Had a chance yesterday to stop by for the first time for some ice cream and I was really impressed. The ice cream was delicious and the rustic finish inside gave it a very nice charm and warmth. I look forward to bringing the whole family in there after COVID starts to wane.

This is a cute hidden gem in Caldwell County that has some of the "Best" home-made desserts 🍪 🍰 🍨🍦 and dairy made ice cream. Everyone is super helpful and gives free samples which is a plus considering ALL the flavors they offer. Amazing !!! Open odd hours so be sure to call before you drive over there.

Not a whole lot there yet, looking forward to going back when they get their full amount of merchandise. The animals were entertaining even on a really cold day. We did get some delicious homemade chai and hot chocolate.I imagine it will be "the place" to be on hot summer days.

This place is awesome! They have the best homemade ice cream around and in flavors it's hard to find anywhere outside of making it yourself. It's a beautiful place to take the family or your girl friend since they have a little country shop as well.

Had driven past many times and wanted to stop but didnt. Today I stopped and had a strawberry milk shake. It was great. Great place to stop for ice cream, coffee, or milk shakes, sherberts and sorbets.

It's heartwarming to see these rural highway mom & pop shops coming back into vogue, and with quality products to boot. I had some of the most delicious icecream ever (blackberry cobbler flavored) and a coffee. The coffee was a little too watery for my liking, but that could have also been a bad batch of the brew.Minor gripe: Got a slice of coconut cake to go that was sort of plopped in a styrofoam box that it didn't fit in. I'm all for generous portions, but the box popped open frequently while driving since the cake was sort of stuffed inside.I'm sure any of the detractors I experienced were a result of my coming in at an odd time during the week. Other than that, it's a terrific place to be. I could sit there and savor sweet treats for hours while smelling the old barn wood.
