Wonderful organization, places dogs with furever families. No kill shelter, doctor on staff for emergency vet services. Clean and organized. The people who work there are so nice and dedicated to placing pets with the right families. The store also benefits the animals in the shelter. They accept donations for those who are not ready for a new addition to your family.

The staff and fosters really care about the animals. Even though home fostering can make it less convenient to meet the pets, it makes it less likely for them to develop phobias or behavioral problems that can be hard to correct. It also means they can give you more information about quirks the dog may have etc. If you are approved to adopt, they will hold a pet for you until it can be arranged for you to meet them. They are really lovely people. 🙂

This is the absolute worst place to adopt a dog by far. I was trying to adopt a dog from.them for months and they always ignored my messages and emails. I gave them all the information they asked for promptly and never got back with me so I went to them. I was told that I had to talk to some lady and after talking to her (very rude by the way) I was informed that being a first time dog owner I had to show proof of heartworm vaccine with pervious dogs. So she was basically tell me that it was impossible to adopt from them if you haven't had a dog before. They say their place is full of dogs that need a home but make it near impossible. I guess places like this is why a lot of people Shop and not Adopt.

We had an emergency situation over the Christmas holiday (23rd-31st) where a stray animal was causing a severe nuisance to our guests and their pet during their stay at our property. Among other things, the stray had destroyed property, harassed people and pets alike, and caused overall general mischief. We were given Foothills Canine Rescue’s phone number from a friend, however during the entire 8 days that the events occurred, not once were we able to get ahold of anyone at the rescue center. We left several messages and emails and to this day, no one has called us back. We were under the impression they assisted in stray/pet services, and later learned this is not the case. It would have been nice to have at least had a call back for recommended options due to our recurrent issue in a very difficult time of year to receive help or service (due to the holiday season). Eventually, another service provider in the area assisted us with the dog. The only reason we decided to give 2 stars instead of 1, is due to the holiday as we know it is a time reserved for family and friends and certain companies in the area take the entire week off

The lady was absolutely rude when talk to someone about a dog she just came out of no where and Ridley interrupted took one look at us and told us there was another place you can get a dog basically kicking us out I told her I wanted to see a dog that was there and she rolled her eyes and started asking a million questions that had nothing to do with adopting a dog and then told us she will let us know we could even see the dog.the rest of the staff was nice but the lady who clams to be the boss is rude and disrespectful

Interesting place. Not what I expected going in as I thought it was strictly a pet/animal facility, but included inside are some interesting items and you get that Cracker Barrel store feeling. Tammy was great and you could tell she loves the animals. Glad we drove those 2 hours to pick up our new family member!

The director knows the personality of ALL the dogs in their care and over the course of a month after meeting with us and talking to us several times she guided us to the sweetest dog they called Deli. We call her Ellie and are grateful to have the beautiful little dog as part of our family.
