I shop here often. The people are friendly and are available to assist if needed. Most of the time, they have everything I need. I wish they still carried the white chocolate raspberry creamer by international delight. Now I have to go to Walmart. Nevertheless, Food Lion is great.

Check that the discounts are applied to your order during checkout.The Cashier was very nice but when I noticed the "buy two get one free" deals were not applied at checkout. I spoke to two different managers. The first acted like even mentioning it annoyed her so she walked off thrusting my receipt into the other manager's hand saying "you deal with this". He did figure out the first register malfunctioned but then said I was wasting his time over " 10 little dollars " . No need for me to spend any more money here. I'll deal with H.T. and Lidl instead.

Although the cashiers give excellent customer service I will no longer be shopping here because management has decided to limit how many of certain items a cutomer can purchase. Ex: butter, milkAnd there have never been any signs in the store to alert customers of this policy, you find out at the register and then have yo go back to adjust your shopping.I have never gotten a straight answer from any manager as to why they have this policy or why there are no signs.The one thing I have heard managers say is thst they don't like it whwn people come in and buy large quantities of an item. To me that is poor business. If you are selling a product and I have the money, I should be able to purchase that product, in whatever quantity I would like. I have checked qith the Food Lion at the Palladium and they do not have limits. So I will be doing my shopping there from now on. Too bad this store will be losing the $10,000 I spend there annually.

This store does what they want the lady manager told me they Hannett right to sale what they want I took my time to get a buggy full of drinks bc the sign in the store didn’t say that it had a limit no one said nothing when they was looking at me pick up all the drinks but when I tried to buy them then it was a problem and I stated you are still suppose to honor me bc it’s not my fault you didn’t make it clear whenI walk in a store I am not looking for a news paper it is signs over the drinks l.. it just really pissed me off they they would rather miss 400 dollar transaction and said I can come once a day for 8 drinks….

I have been a faithful shopper here for about 5 years, but I will no longer buy Meats, fruits, or vegetables here. Fruits, veggies go bad in 2 days, and Meats are very low quality. Chicken is low grade, and Meats are not what you see from the top. Beef is very expensive, and I don't want to purchase and get home and find out it was not something I would of bought. I have given this store numerous chances to improve but now realize it is only getting worse. Time to move on to Harris Teeter.

I went at 7:30 this morning because I work third shift and then go home to my kids, it’s pouring rain didn’t want to take them out so quick stop and go and I guess it made the cashier “Gwen” mad when I asked if she was open, if looks could kill and it almost made me want to back up and find another line or see if self checkout was open yet, but she finally said yea after a long pause, I started putting my stuff up there for her to ring up and I noticed she was acting mad that I didn’t put things in a certain order and she was picking up and almost slamming stuff in different sections of the line so I tried to help her and she slams down one of the baby foods I had, huffs and goes off to the side to wait on me to stop doing anything like she was fed up…so I stopped and just grabbed my wallet and stood there she finally resumed scanning items without saying anything to me, the only nice thing she had to say or do was have a nice day, but even that felt fake.

I am followed in this store Everywhere I Go I was even followed to the restroom I spend money in this store weekly I literally live across the street so it's very convenient hell I even walk over to use the restroom if there's someone in the bathroom and it's not available I don't recommend tobacco products from there they're stale most of the time and very expensive I paid $9.51 for a pack of Newports anyways I've never stolen anything from the store nor do I plan to I don't want anyone to think that this is a racial thing but it is only the white people that follow me I have no issues with anyone else and I'm not being funny but I am married to an African-American man and these people know that and I honestly feel like the racial issue is on the other end and they're being judgmental and automatically think that I'm there to steal hell I don't know I could be wrong but I do know for a 100% fact that I am followed the whole time that I'm there feeling very uncomfortable I do not like this I spend money with Western Union on a weekly basis I buy my groceries on a weekly basis I go to the store for everything literally and it's very uncomfortable

What a breath of fresh air this Food Lion store is after shopping at Walmart for groceries for many years. Kind of like a, “Did I die and go to heaven?” feeling. Cashiers are standing at attention with a smile on their faces, actually waiting on YOU to check you out. No self check out here. Everyone working in the aisles are friendly and even ask you if they can help you find something. And they have a double your money back guarantee on their house brands if you aren’t happy with them. So far, I have been more than happy. I thought I was getting out cheaper shopping at Walmart. Not so. Great sales too. I am 62 years old and this grocery store has the same small town/good neighbor feeling stores had when I was growing up.

This store is always clean, well stocked, and the staff are polite. They haven't jumped on the self-checkout bandwagon and I really hope they never will. I always prioritize doing my grocery shopping here above anywhere else because of how well they run this store.

I don’t normally post reviews but this one is necessary. I’d like to say this store has the most amazing deli staff. Always clean and well stocked. The staff is so helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. I was so pleased I had to find out who was running the show. The pleasant young lady assisting me was NIKI!! She replied that she was the manager. I couldn’t believe it. Normally managers leave all the grunt work to the workers. Not her!! She was helping customers all while putting up what looked to be boxes of extra stock. I hope the rest of the employees at this location model their work ethic and attitude after this exceptional young lady and treats their customers and coworkers with the same level of care and respect.

Always clean and helpful, but they don't seem to pay attention to what sells best. They are constantly out of stock of the store brand diet cola and store brand diet ginger ale. Yet, other soft drinks seem fully stocked.It occurred to me that if an item is constantly sold out, you'd want to keep more on hand and maybe even give it more shelf space.

I love grocery shopping! This store is really friendly. They have a great staff and a better selection. Depending on your location of any store, there will be certain things you can find according to popularity and sells. This store has great seasoning and soups. I like the wine selection also. The manager Olivia has been a blessing from day one. Great place to shop!Update: manager Yolanda simply amazing along with the staff Morgan, Ed, Katrina, and Keegan.. ALWAYS greeted. I go everyday and it's ALWAYS a pleasant stop💜

Check the expiration dates on everything you buy. Thanksgiving prep and I saw some of the Jacks chicken that was a few months past expiry and told the cashier, he didn’t care.Bought some curry mix two weeks ago and was going to cook it for lunch today, it’s expired as of October 2022. Money gone now because I don’t have the receipt anymore.

This is a nice food lion. I think given the location and demographic it is kept tidy, clean and fresh. The produce is nice. While food lion doesn't offer a lot of the foods I eat their prices are moderate and affordable. It's decent for a quick shop if you can't make it to your main store. It's in a convenient location in proximity to where I live so that's convenient.

This one was in Jamestown on Maine St.So, first time there. Very, clean, neat, & organized. Personal very proffesional & pleasant, good sense of humor.First F.L. I've ever been in that had "great" sales in every aisle. Everything stocked neat, in line with price tags, "Not like other stores we know".Great meat sales: got 5 1lb. Packs of 92%/8%, @ about $20.

Great place with friendly helpful people. I purchased an item that was marked lower than it rang up for at the register. It was quite a bit lower yet the cashier gave it to me for the lower price no questions asked. The manager always greets me and I talk with the cashiers from time to time. The atmosphere is pleasant and lively and the pricing is always as its shown. I know of some other stores where the price shown is not what it really is at the register.

I love my Food Lion! They are always nice to customers and helpful. I am a big fan of the meat department, I can buy a roast and there is not a hidden large portion of fat underneath (Walmart does) their ground products do not have bones and other undesirables (everywhere else does)!

I live nearby, and this is my go to store. All staff is always friendly. I have never felt unsafe for any reason no matter if I go in at open or run in near closing, never a bad experience.
