We are visiting NC from California for a dear friend's funeral. Our Giant Schnauzer was in need of grooming, so we called PetSmart in Jacksonville, NC, to book the earliest available appointment, which was three days out at 8:00am. Our hotel was forty-five minutes away in Emerald isle. After a long drive, we were shocked to hear that PetSmart refused to groom our dog because his rabies vaccination certificate had an expiration date of TODAY, April 7th 2024. I asked to speak to the manager and explained that the certificate was valid THROUGH April 7th, which did not end until midnight, a full 16 hours from now! We drove a very long way and were hoping that the manager, Ms. Ash would accurately interpret the expiration date and realize that our certificate was absolutely valid until THE END OF THAT DAY.Ash, had no ability to understand the simple facts and was incredibly rude and dismissive. No regard for our time. No concern for the inconvenience she was causing us. Both she and the other staff member we encountered were incredibly rude and short. I tried to explain that we made the appointment several days ago and had traveled very far to be there on time. We checked the certificate upon booking and realized we just barely made the cut-off but never expected such rude treatment and blatant misinterpretation of the expiration. Ms. Ash and her colleague should both be fired immediately in my opinion. This was the worst example of customer service and professionalism I have ever experienced. PetSmart needs to try much harder to hire people intelligent enough to know what "Good THROUGH" a certain date means and how to treat well meaning consumers who work hard for their money. I will never spend another penny with PetSmart and I will share this post via every social media outlet I have access to, in order that I might save others from similar unpleasant encounters with Ms. Ash and the ignorant PetSmart management.

A decently clean and well stocked store. I believe the store is physically smaller than the other petsmart in Jacksonville, but this one seems to have more/better selection in the way of aquarium & reptile supplies.

They offer grooming and training services. For the most part the store is clean and the staff was friendly. We ended up getting accidentally charged for an item twice and so we went back in and it got a little confusing but MJ helped and it all worked out in the end

Had my dog groomed here several times they always do a great job and the staff is friendly and attentive. The most recent visit Bobbie groomed Penny and did an amazing job! She went above and beyond my expectations and even took the time to style Penny's hair... absolutely adorable! I will definitely be back again! No complaints here

I took my dog Hank to get groomed, I believe it was his first time. (I have only had him for a week.) What a difference it made! Lucas took such good care of him and did exactly what I wanted with the cut. I will definitely be taking him back. Also, all the staff that I have met there from grooming to the general store have been very nice and helpful. The store is clean and organized.

First time today ever using PetSmart grooming and I am beyond happy! Jade and Lakota did amazing jobs on my Ash and Lucy! They were kind, calm and sweet with me and my pups. They listened and were very communicative and put us all at ease. The grooming was top notch, especially since Lucy can be extremely nervous with strangers, I was especially impressed with how great her nail trim went! I am so happy with my experience and will definitely schedule again at the Yopp location with Jade and Lakota! 😁

Petsmart will phase food out of the stores with no notice to pet owners. Something to be aware of if your pets digestive systems need time to adjust to new foods. For a company proclaiming to “be there for all your pets needs.” Advance notice would be appreciated and in line with the company’s philosophy‪At both stores, I inquired if the food was being phased out or if there were supply issues. I was assured the food would be carried and restocked. It is not and will not; now I get to play “how will my pets upset stomach present itself today” THANKS PETSMART. ‬

I took both my cats to get a bath and get their nails trimmed. Both my cats are adult cats, super sweet, and have never ever had a problem. I went to get them, the cat groomer was no where to be found and my two cats were so scared they had to ask me to go to the back and get them. I went to get them and they looked so scared I wanted to cry. When I got home I saw their nails were cut in half and split and red and bleeding. I couldn’t help but cry. I called pet smart about it and they didn’t care and said they’d set me up with a vet. I am so upset and hurt because they are clearly in pain and no one told me there. NEVER RETURNING HERE AGAIN!

After walking in I asked a guy where the fresh food is located,He proceeded to look me up and down as in an untrusting ?May have been my backpack ,For I rode my bicycle there.Then on checkout he was Checking all my purchases,Looking over the checkers shoulderVery unprofessional!Just gave me a real bad feeling inside.I WONT BE BACK TO THAT STORE

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and the selection is fantastic. If you are a furr-babies mom or dad its hard not to spend money with them, they even have grooming as well as training sessions available. All and all its a great place for just about everything pet related

I have a terrier mix I rescued from OCAS. Took him in mainly for a nail clipping and curious to see how they would trim his face. Disappointed to see little difference when I picked him up. Couldn't trim his nails because he didn't like it. Duh!! I'll save $40 and continue bathing him at home.

It was great me and my pupup went to brose. It was adorable day. I do wish I would have known it would be are last day together. Puppup is 10 years old chewaewa mix and loves pet Smart she really loves her kittys. It was cat day adoption she really like a short hair cat one. I and pupup love pet Smart. Puppup sad to say she was suddenly taken away from us later that evening. She got killed by a car. She got out yard some how and was taken away. Puppup loved that kitty she saw at pet Smart and so did I. She going to miss pet Smart and so Will I puppup say go check out PetSmart

They was awesome and so friendly. I went there to get my dog's nails cut and it was her first time and she did pretty good cuz she's scared of everything and everybody I was so surprised I was able to cut them and they they want to do it so that right there is is 10 thumbs up, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

My pup Leo got groomed here, and they did a WONDERFUL job doing so! Kept him calm, trimmed his nails properly and much more. Very nice and understanding staff. I was incredibly pleased with the work Allison F. did with my puppy!

I’m kind of baffled about how the employees at the front of the store treat customers walking in. Today I came in to take pictures of my duck and two dogs with Santa. I took my duck and dog last year to see Santa without an issue. this year as I came in a gentleman at the front asked if I would like to put a slip lead Around my duck. I told the employee that a slip lead could harm my duck as ducks have very thin necks, not built for leashes. The employee continues to say with an attitude as we walked towards the back to take pictures with Santa, “I can’t wait to see how this goes” My significant other than said, “we brought our Duck here last year, without a problem” to which the employee replies rudely, “ I know, I got the email” Mind you the employees dressed up as Santa and the one the photo were extremely polite, kind and easy to work with and enjoyed getting to see Duck, so I give two stars because of their hospitality. But if you know you have employees, who aren’t the friendliest, you probably shouldn’t put them at the front of the store. Over all the picture with Santa was great and I even asked them as we approached if it was ok to which they said yes. But as for the experience with the gentleman at the front, I’d have to say it was a little hostile. Next year we will be taking pictures elsewhere.

Took our dog to the groomers and said what we wanted. When we arrived we were told that she would get a bath and they would shave most of her fur except the face as it was her first time. We paid $41 and when we picked her up it was as if nothing was done. The only noticeable difference was her paw pads. I was very disappointed to have spent that much money and to walk out with my dog angry and upset. This was absolutely horrible and a waste of time and money.

My review is going to be a little mixed Good location, I went in the right around closing time, need antibiotics for my fish tank and gentlemen did help me find it.
