They have good plants that give flowers, and fruits. Good and friendly service, their vegetable garden could be better as it felt like it wasn't maintaned well. They have some unique fruit trees like grape vines.

Love this little place. We buy garden soil, bug supplies, flowers, bird seed and lots of other items you could get from a big hardware store. You can even bring in plants that are doing so well or soil samples and they will give you advise on how to bring them back to heath.

My wife just walked in and they don’t even greet her or anything obviously ignoring her it was just one white male in the front. We’ve been to many nursery’s never felt so ignored. I’m not sure what their problem is but needless to say we will never go back. I would give no stars if I can.

I will never ever shop here again. I used to all the time. the quality of service has been awful. It was also insinuated that since I was not a man I did not know about growing a garden. So yeah hope you guys go out of business. I once was an extremely loyal customer. But no more!!!!! and then to sit there and laugh about it as if it were some joke. YOU GUYS HAVE NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE Loretta AND THE OTHER GIRL LEFT.!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you need a woman running the place.

They're fantastic. I go there for my dogs food regularly and when I have my toddler in my arms they always jump up to carry the 40lb bag of food to my car for me. Always kind and always with a smile on their face.

Update: I hate to do this but something has seriously changed this year. Quality of the plants and customer service have totally nosedived. I have been in 4x since last frost and each time, both aspects have been progressively worse and worse. I guess I'll just pay a little more and drive a little further from now on.Original review: I drive an extra hour past Pender Pines to shop here because they have the best prices and staff.If I could make one suggestion: bigger pots for the veg and herbs. It was only June when I bought 4 dozen starts and they were already root bound which resulted in some stunting. And the peppers had mealy bugs but they were easy to treat. I caught them before they spread to my garden.

Nice selection of herbs, perennials, trees, and lovely hanging baskets as well as potted. Great gift ideas for everyone and yourself, bird feeders and supplies for pets and livestock. Some local tasty treats at the counter, and the-best-most-fresh-picked collard greens when in season!
