You don’t have to search for someone in a best either. They do a great job of asking if you need help and if they can help with anything. Amazingly they have less inventory than the big box stores but are still more likely to have what you need.

We visited today had a wonderful fun experience. We bought lots of plants inquired about a key, the employee was so helpfull and ordered our key. Justin was so helpful, kind and he didn't mind me cutting up with him. What an awesome employee. We get to check and ask who we can brag on him to. All to find out he is the store manager. What an great person he is. We look forward to visiting him again soon. Also the cashier was an absolute doll. I cannot remember her name but our receipt shows cashier #5. Overall Fantastic visit!! Had to update....went again today. Absolutely love Justin and Laura, cashier.she is the absolute sweetest lady. These two make this store!

First, Im retired military and I want to say thank you to Carolina Ace Hardware for their military discount. I want to acknowledge your employee Robert. I simply came in today in need of a large box to ship two chairs. Robert greeted me kindly and I explained what i needed but i didn’t want to take him away from his duties. He stated helping me was his duty. He spent time to locate a large box of an unassembled grill and marked it on hold for me to pick up later in the week. Genuine care and service like this is why I will always be an Ace customer.

I had to go in the other day to get 3 sets of keys made. The machine wasn’t being helpful but Robert was the most helpful! He was patient and kind and took his time to make sure my keys were right! He was wonderful to work with!

Cheapest place to fill propane tanks. I searched all around this area and this is by far the cheapest place that I found and the easiest to get tanks refilled. They also do exchange with tanks but it's cheaper just to get them filled as long as your tank is still in good shape. I was able to get three tanks filled and from the time I parked to the time I drove away was less than 20 minutes. It basically takes the same amount of time to fill the truck up with gasoline as it took to fill three 20 lb propane tanks. And it was about half the price of any other place in this area.

I can't tell you enough how wonderful this store is! I brought them a problem they had no obligation to help with, yet was determined to find a solution. And they did! They especially made effort in making sure I felt safe and well taken care of. Thankyou so much.

Grateful that the propane gentleman was knowledgeable. He said my tank needed to be replaced, as it had a leak! One of the other guys had told me that last year, that every so often, I would need to replace/exchange it. The ones you get when you “replace” have been carefully inspected.

Took the grandbabies for pix with santa.what a beautiful set up. Best I have ever seen! Santa and Mrs. Claus were awesome. Santas elves were great ! Outstanding experience for the kids! Thank you Ace Harware team!

Love this place and the people. However, I went to get a fishing license at 8 AM in the morning and no one was available until 11. So if you want a fishing license just go online to NC Wild Life Commission and purchase. Also, do not go to Mills River Ace Hardware because they do not do fishing licenses anymore.

Do NOT take your screens to be replaced to this Ace hardware. They do a terrible job and I had to pay someone else to tighten all of the screen material that just flapped on the wind!

I was going to purchase a product. I asked him if it didn’t need it and it was still in the box unopened with the receipt can I return it. They said they didn’t know if they would allow that so I just left it and walked out.

I was in store today and had 2 items, pellets for my Traeger and some hot birdseed. I did not see the price on the birdseed until I was checking out. The item was $45 for 10lbs. I decided not to purchase the item, the cashier who is also the owner seemed very annoyed and just grabbed the bag and tossed it behind her asking “you don’t want this”. I’m a local here in Hendersonville and try to support local businesses, but this was my last trip to Carolina Ace. FO!

Ace is the place! Carolina Ace epitomizes the “Helpful Hardware Man” commercials I remember from my youth. And that includes staff of whatever gender.Ace is not “the store I go to if I can’t find it closer at the big box” it’s “my GO-TO” store.Unlike the big box stores, you don’t have to spend 15 minutes just trying to find someone who can help you (and then can’t). I sometimes come looking for a fitting or doohickie for which I have no name but can only attempt to describe. They help me find it, with a smile. It’s a pleasant experience, not a frustrating one.Also, they care about quality. When I need a good shovel, or a nice heavy mattock, I want a GOOD tool, not a cheap one. They’ve got it--or can order it.

Went Saturday April 29. Sale in progress.I had to hunt suet also garden soil and petunias on sale. No help to be seen by workers. At check out girl said you can not use coupon. Well if you can't then get them out of the paper stop sending. Good till seventh.Also two teens almost knocked this senior down they were rude as could be. And others very rude. Obviously manners are a thing of the past nowadays. My parents as well as myself learned manners. People do not teach them anymore. Even workers in stores ignore manners.Place pricey for sure. Afraid I will not be going there in awhile. Can not tolerate slackness in workers. Give a man a days work for days pay or don't waste his times. From looks of the store quite a lot wasting time. Clean it up.

Meh! Lady in garden center came up to me randomly to let me know that the plant I was looking at...was not easy. I didn't ask for her assistance, but it was the way she approached me. I was talking to another customer waiting to check out. Very disappointed!

This is a nice retail general hardware store and the staff is very helpful. The biggest problem they have is congestion in the parking lot at the front of the property. I recommend using the side street to access the parking!
