Funky and fun with 100% cleanliness rating, offering tasty grilled sandwiches and fast, friendly service (the fast part was great! We were so hungry).The restroom was to the left side of the building from the front door and was clean, too. We will def return to Kat’s when in Hatteras again.Parking: There are other businesses attached in a row of buildings, so the gravel parking lot can fill up at times.

Stopped and had lunch at Kat's Deli and was definitely glad we did. I got the Sweet Home Avocado wrap which was excellent to the last bite. The wrap was seared well on the outside and the inside of the wrap was stuffed with tender tasty chicken melted cheese, and avocado. It was very very good. They were busy but kept everything moving seamlessly. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was very clean inside and out. Plenty of outdoor seating. There is nowhere to eat inside. Plenty of parking available. There was a funny hen walking around. She was very docile and would eat any scraps you have. Keep the great food coming. I look forward to going back again.

Just a "shot in the dark". In a small shopping center. We pulled in.We were looking for food...and the opportunity arose. Kat's Deli is a "call ahead and order" or "show up, place your order and find a table outside in the beautiful sunshine"...or "under the large welcoming porch" kind of place. Made to order sandwiches with fun names. Chicken salad. Meatball sandwiches. Hummus. BLTs. And an entire chalkboard of wonderful sounding foods. Waters, teas, sodas, beers, IPAs...lots of choices in bottled drinks. Just the place for good food on a sunny day in December.Oh...and take time to smell the candles! The "Root Beer" candle scent is GREAT!

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the Half Turkey sandwich, Sweet Home Avocado wrap, and Reuben sandwich. The Reuben was really good and the Sweet Home wrap was alright. My kids seemed to like their turkey sandwiches. Nice little shop inside where you order your food. Outdoor seating only.

Fast, friendly service and fantastic delivery food! All of the sandwiches have unique names which my husband loves. My favorite is the Onion-tended Consequences! They always come up with the best specials as well!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp on the side by the restrooms.

Great lunch spot located in Hatteras Village just as you enter the community. There’s ample indoor seating but why not sit out on the porch when the weather is nice and get some fresh air. The variety of sandwiches available was great and the one I got was excellent.

SO GOOD. So good. The bread for the paninis was perfect: perfectly toasted, perfectly crunchy, perfect bread-to-filling ratio. I had the Caprese panini and my husband had the Virginian. Excellent tomatoes. Kat has very creatively given her specials pun names in the style of Bob's Burgers and they do not dissapoint!!! And since it is next to the Happy Belly, we went over there for dessert.

Best sandwich shop I've eaten at in a while. I'm not sure why other people have said it's overpriced, I found the prices to be reasonable ($7 to $10 depending). I had the Italian and the Cordon Bleu. My wife and I consider ourselves afficianados of the Italian sub, and this one comes in 2nd (to Anna's in Gloucester, Va). It is a fantastic sandwich and the banana peppers add a layer of flavor that really works with it. I do recommend adding bacon to whatever you order, it is only $1.50 and they are generous, and it's that delicious crispy BLT style of bacon. Definitely glad we came here and will stop by again if we're ever back in the area.

5-7-23 I ordered a club, wife ordered chicken salad. We split the sandwiches to get a taste of each. Both were piled high. Wife turned her half of my club into two sandwiches when I pulled the middle piece of bread out of my half. Chicken salad was good, but slightly dry as it fell off of the bread in chunks

Very good! Fresh bread, tasty options, made to order. The Pesto tasted homemade and really made the "Virginian" sandwich excellent! Would highly recommend Kat's for lunch.

Superior sandwich construction. I can't tell you how disappointed I am when I bite into a sandwich and toppings or sauce explode. The sandwich was out together with choice ingredients, portioned properly, sauced and salted well, firm, crisp pickle and ruffles chips. They have unique sandwich combos The young lady behind the counter is personable. Bathrooms are clean. It's next to a couple of other cool shops.

The Reuben was terrible. The meat was too thick and fatty. When I bit into it half the insides came out because the meat would not separate at the bite. It was soggy from too much dressing - it fell apart as you picked it up. I ate half and threw the rest away.07/15/2023 - had the Italian. Very disappointed. Bread was what you'd get from a supermarket, meat quantity was light, and all the ingredients were pushed to one side - you either got a mouthful of filler or a mouthful of bread. It's also the first Italian sandwich I've had that has both vinegar and mayonnaise. Not an appetizing combo.

We grabbed sandwiches to go from Kat’s deli. I had the onion-intended consequences without Mayo and it was delicious! My daughter had the kid’s grilled cheese and it looked very good. My son had the BLT and it was good with a nice amount of bacon and not too much mayo. All the sandwiches came with ruffles which you can choose to upgrade to different chips. I would definitely go back for the onion-intended consequences!
