We were able to visit a few shops while waiting for our ferry. Would have enjoyed more time shopping, but there are some quality shops here, pricey, but quality.

Nice area to visit the lighthouse! There is a lot of parking and they have parking for large vehicles as well. The lighthouse and houses are nice to walk around to look at. The lighthouse is huge! The people inside were very friendly and helped us find a sticker to buy when they ran out! Next door there is a beach with parking as well. We came in December and saved were huge. There were tons of surfers out trying to get out in the waves!

First time on the ferry, had a time. But i would definitely tell you to get there 30-40 minutes before departure time. If not might have a little wait😐.

The Ferry terminal to Ocracoke is located here. Ferries include the drive-on and walk-on ferries, although the walk-on ferries were not operating the day we visited. Car ferry trips are free. We waited about 1.5 to 2 hours to board the ferry.There are several shops and restaurants here. We ordered some ice cream at the Hatteras Landing Marina while we waited to board the ferry.

Take the time to walk around while waiting for the ferry to Ocracoke. Shop, grab a cold drink watch the views… you might be waiting a while, might as well enjoy it!

The Kitty Hawk Kite store there is awesome and has a huge selection of everything!! Pretty views there and places to eat and drink as well!!

We love Hatteras Island❤🏝. My family and I have been coming here for years. The guys love Teach's Lair Marina. They have charter boat fished with Twin Bill's, Marlin Mania and Harper's Folly. These captains get it done and always send us home with a cooler full of fish. Definitely recommend booking out of this marina. (Fish cleaning, vacuum packing and freezing for additional fee.)

What a great way to stay on vacation. The boat was in fantastic condition. The owners are very accommodating. It doesn't take any time at all to become friendly with the other marina folks. You couldn't get a better location for convenience to Manteo. Just a great vacation.

Hanging out waiting for the ferry. Beautiful day, place to watch people. I am amazed at the people who do not understand how the system works...park and wait for a ferry, not just get on a ferry.

A nice cluster of shops. Prices seem to be reasonable. Went here for a pelagic trip out on the sea the boat was docked right behind these shops. Also has a bar if you get thirsty.

It's beautiful! I love seeing people that come back with their catch. The excitement in the younger ones is contagious. I enjoy visiting this peaceful place.

A few good shops, a bar, and small marina. Seems to be in general decline and disrepair from previous years. Friendly staff and dog.

The marina and shops around the area were all very nice Marina itself was clean and it's nice that you can walk in and look at the boats . There's a lot to choose from as far as the shops go in the area all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time walking around and shopping

Nice shopping center . some nice stores and a kite shop . also a nice wood walkway through the marsh and a 2 plot burial site to a tiny neighborhood with a few healthy Canary Island Date Palms . suprising for the area .

The southern end of OBX is like the real shore. But here there is a couple little stores and a nice restaurant. The ferries dock here.

Marina and shops at the ferry to and from Ocracoke. If you time it right you can be on the ferry returning from Ocracoke during sunset.

Great place to shop while waiting for the ferry. Pick up a kite at the kite shop, have a bite to eat, grab a t-shirt, souvenirs, or beach necessities! There's something for everyone...

We just missed the ferry so it was nice to be able to grab a beer from the peir shop (I got the sorbet mimosa and it was really good). Take some time to browse the other shops while you wait, the prices were fair and there's tons of souvenirs. The ferry is running every hour right now, they said it will be every half hour during the tourist season (starting next week). I would just ask (the staff was helpful and friendly about this) and our experience was that the schedule online was not accurate. The bathroom was clean, cool experience.

Pretty cool spot to get your OBX gear and some lunch. Eat area to walk around and look for some gifts while waiting for the ferry or whatever you are up to.
