Lovely art gallery and yarn store with both knitting and crocheting supplies. It's in a house with a nice parking lot not difficult to find in Hatteras. There are a lot of artists work on display in many types of media including clay, wood, glass and textiles. Was surprised by the good choice of yarns and threads available as well adds knitting and crocheting tools. You are welcome to wear a mask but it's not required. A very nice stop once we saw the Cape Hatteras lighthouse! Well worth a stop!

I really enjoyed shopping at this gift shop. It was a joy to explore and see all of the unique and local gifts. My favorite finds were the two in the pictures. One was a pendant with sand from Hatteras Island and plastic that has been recovered from the ocean. The other contains sands from all seven continents. I got them as gifts and I'm sure the recipients will love them.

I never miss a visit to Blue Pelican when we go to OBX. I love the handmade items for sale, the atmosphere, the folks....and the fur babies! The yarn is wonderful....wish I did that sort of needlework. Pretty awesome place!

Yarn!!!! Oh my goodness it was great to find this yarn store on our vacay in Hatteras. I even found driftwood needles.Lots of beautiful little gift items and locally made art.

First of all, the gallery has a yellow lab shop dog. That's usually a good indication that the owner is cool. Second of all, the selection of locally made art was an eclectic mix of fine to funky. I highly recommend you stop here if you're in the OBX area. I'll definitely stop in again.

I wanted a picture for my bathroom with a little rustic quality and I found it here! I love this picture because it is unique, hand done, signed, and beautiful! So many other unique gifts here too! If you are looking for something special while you are visiting the Outer Banks, go here you won't be disappointed!

We felt so welcomed by the fine folks at Blue Pelican. There is a wide selection of unique gifts, decor, jewelry and crafts. We enjoyed meeting Mabel and Sadie—best dogs ever! We also had a great time chatting with the store owners.

The man running the place is one of the most congenial people I’ve met this year and my daughter was able to pet her first dog, the owner’s Labrador, Mabel - whose calm demeanor was a reflection of the friendly atmosphere in the store. A nice change of pace from all the frantic traveling. Highly recommend.The contributions from local artists were great and my wife was enthralled by the selection that was available.

The shop itself is quite cute and has some really pretty earrings and jewelry. The big problem there was the very unfriendly man in charge. No smiles, ellos, etc. And of course, zero taking care of the custumers.

Love this gallery/shop. Lots of great local arts, perfect for gifts OR home decor. The yarn selection is also amazing. I especially love the knitting and crochet kits they've put together with good yarn, patterns, and needles. The jewelry and other handmade items are beautiful. The place is also so gorgeous and local. Just where I want to look and shop!

Such a unique gift shop with so many wonderful things to see!!!! Beautiful arts and crafts. This is a place worth visiting if you are looking for a gift for someone and the merchandise ranges in price, so there is something for everyone! Plan on spending more than 10 minutes in this place... so much to see! Very friendly staff, welcoming environment, and it exceeded expectations.

This unique shop has a variety of interesting gift items from artisan jewelry to spices to beautiful yarn. One of the best parts is being greeted by Mabel and her sister Sadie! I will absolutely return to Blue Pelican on my next visit to Hatteras.

If you're looking for a gift/specialty shop that sells quality items at remarkably affordable prices, this is the place. Everything still has that beachy, OBX vibe but with a more artistic flair. We not only found some cute items for ourselves but managed to pick up some gifts for family. I especially loved their handmade, paper Christmas ornaments. The owners were friendly and even dove into their stockroom to see if they could find more options for the items we liked the most. I'm wishing today I'd bought a few things I left behind. Would definitely return if I find myself on Hatteras again.

Lots of local beautiful crafts and a good selection of curated yarn. Driftwood hooks and needles were a fun find, along with yarn bags made by the owners. Had to buy both, so unique and lovely!

This is my new favorite art gallery down on Hatteras Island. They had extremely unique and simple art and jewelery. The prices for everything was very compelling and the shop owner was a really nice guy. Definitely give it a visit because you won't be disappointed. I don't know much about yarn but they had more than I could process, alot of choices.

First time stopping after a trillion years coming here. The couple that own it are sweet as pie! The woman hand makes jewelry and it's the prettiest hand crafted I've seen. Very beachy and colors are magical. If I wore jewelry all the time, I'd be buying her stuff. Stop in! Beautiful little unique items.

I opened the door and was overwhelmed with the smell of scented candles. This could be the best gift shop on the island, but I couldn't make it past the front door. Chill on the candles and I will try again. This is not the only store on the island like this. Weird.
