Shain is a skilled and top notch groomer. I regularly feel like I need to reeducate my dog groomers on a lamb cut and how I like a tight head, butt and body but beautiful full legs on my little boy but Shain understood the assignment perfectly. The cut on my baby was flawless and precise. I absolutely loved how he looked.

I’ve been here 3 separate times and every single time I was disappointed in some way but this last time was the last straw. I have a shih tzu who HAD a lot of hair, he is a puppy so I could get a full hair cut until he was at least 8 months. I asked them to cut off a few inches and shape him to have a teddy bear look. And she even repeated it to me. I was aware that he had a few mats as brushing him started getting more and more difficult as his hair grew but it still wasn’t no where near unmanageable and that I had to pick up my baby with almost no hair anymore. On top of that, the hair cut isn’t even, you can see where they rushed cutting it off. And even his hair on his ears aren’t cut evenly. My dog doesn’t even look like a shih tzu anymore and it’ll be months before his hair grows back and I don’t know if it will look the same again. Needless to say, don’t go here and find somewhere else no matter how much it costs. Find a groomer who actually cares, because none of them here do.

Horrible, just awful had me in literal tears. My handsome boy was butchered and they didn’t even finish his cut because he was “uncomfortable” and yelping. Said they had to cut a few mats off and this was the result. Took him somewhere else and they said the cut was unnecessary, he was the best behaved little pup ever and they tried their best but let’s be honest there was no salvaging that. Spare yourself the disappointment.

And September 6, we took our Schnauzer, Dexter, to The Groomery. A few days later he stopped eating and began shaking his head and we could tell he was in pain. We called our Vet And got an appointment for September 12. He was found to have severe ear infections with multiple bacteria present. We were sent home with several medicines, but nothing helped. He had to be sedated and have surgery to have his ears cleaned and scooped out and take samples and the vet told us that even under anesthesia he was uncomfortable and in pain because of the severe infection. He has been to the vet four times and still is not well. Now they've had to send off a culture to a lab to grow this bacteria to find out the best one to heal him as others have been resistant. So far, this has caused us over $1000 and the culture that was sent off was $270. I am writing this to warn as I would not want anyone else to go through what we have been through. He has lost weight that he has not gained back And we were told that this could be something recurrent for the rest of his life.Addition: Dexter passed away Oct 13th. It all started after he was groomed here.I sincerely hope no other pet goes thru this.

Staff is friendly and facility if clean. Masks and social distancing is required. Tub is ergonomical. Only faults I find us that the soap selector switch is a little off and had to mess with it to get it to work correctly. Blow dryer is awesome! Could have a few more shampoo and conditioner options in the store.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Took my GSD for a simple bath, brushing (what I cared about the most), and nail grinding. I picked him up he looked like he had not been brushed at all. Chunks of hair still falling out of him. I got the response of he didn't like it. I get that he may have not been the happiest dog but after seeing what you did "shaving" his but hole area I would have nipped at you too!! Horrible. I will never bring my dog here again.

I’ve been several times to use the self-wash station. It’s $20, which is expensive but convenient since we are just in town visiting family. The last two times they were out of towels, and the blow dryer doesn’t get warm enough to actually dry. The wash station was clean, and there are several choices of shampoo/conditioner including hypoallergenic. They also advertise a senior/military discount on the front door, but only give it out on Tuesdays (convenient). This does the job if you need it, but not worth $20.

I have had mixed results with them. I just had my pomeranian groomed and they hacked off her fur so unevenly that she looks like a different breed. They had no idea what the dog should look like. Honestly, a six year old with safety scissors could do better. Please hire an actual trained groomer not some bored teenager.

Staff is as helpful as possible. The dog self-wash station is a good idea, BUT:1. Water fluctuates between luke warm and ice cold. (Yes, I know a dog's body temperature is warmer than a human's, but bathing in ice water is not fun for most mammals.)2. Soap.... what soap?3. Conditioner... it says it's included. Nope.4. Towel(s) - says they are included. Not even offered.So, if you want to give your dog a bath WITHOUT towels, shampoo or warm water, AND pay $13.00, this is the place!

It was my first time using a self-service dog wash. It was clean, convenient, and easy to use. This is much better than doing it at home. We will return.

I brought my 2 poodles here as I have been doing for a couple years. I had an appointment, and when I get there they tell me they cannot cut my dogs because they have matte around their feet and their skin is too thin. They've had matte before, they have curly hair, they are dogs, their feet get wet and matte!! Normally they just charged a little extra. They are groomers! Who else is supposed to be able to groom them. It's always somebody new at this place whondoesnt know what they are doing and they always mess up the cut on my 2 but I always gave them another chance. I hate this place and I don't recommend.

Everyone is very customer service friendly. I utilized the do it yourself dog wash section for my 100lb NewfyPoo. The area was clean, the dog baths are big enough for my giant dog, shampoo, conditioner and detangle is provided in the cost. This is my new go to place to give my dog her bath.

It was our first time using their self serve dog washing station. Heather was so sweet and so helpful. She took the time to show me how to work the machine which I really appreciated as a newbie to all of this! It was so easy and we were in and out within 15 minutes. We will definitely bring our pup there again! It was also a breath of fresh air to experience such great customer service!

Brought my dog there and was told after keeping her 2 hours that they cannot cut her hair. They are grooming not vets. Told me my dogs eyes looked yellow so she was afraid to cut. My dog just got shots at vet few weeks ago and they said she was in great health. Why are these people trying to play drs for dogs. The sweet groomer was out on vacation that I usually use there and I wish she was there when I came this time. I’m disgusted with this place and they need to replace that girl who wanted to diagnose my dog and you’re just a groomer. Beware before you go there and get her as groomer. Name starts with a B.

Our groomer at this location is Dear. She’s very kind and loving to our fur baby. She does a great job. However, due to holiday vacation, I had to settle for a different tech and was charged an extra $15 because our dog is epileptic. I paid it against by better judgment. For that I only gave them four stars.

I walk in with my chihuahua to get her nails trimmed. Sign on the door says open 9am-5pm.Door is open and lights are on, but no one is inside. No customers. No dogs. No employees.I stand for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to show up and finally an employee walks out of the back and asks “How can I help you”I explain that I need my dogs nails trimmed.She grumbles something under her breath and walks to the back and says something to another woman who has stuck her head out of a room.That woman says “Ummm, unfortunately we’re not going to be able to do that today, can you possibly come back tomorrooooooow??”No, I came today because I need it done today. I asked where else I could get this done and she just said “basically any other petsmart”It’s 2:45pm. The business closes at 5pm. There’s no other customer or dogs there. There are two employees at least working. Why can’t they work? No explanation was given other than “we can’t”Nail trimming is a service offered, is it not? Business is open, is it not?If you can’t accept business, then close the business.Completely unprofessional

I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with the Groomery in Harrisburg today when I brought a client's dogs in for a nail trim and brush out appointment (I was providing a Pet Chauffeur service). My complaint basically boils down to it taking almost 2 hours for what should've taken maybe 45 minutes and both groomers were unprofessional and rude.I called when I arrived and was told to bring all three dogs in, just for the other groomer to tell me that I needed to go back and wait in my car because her lunch wasn't over for another 7 minutes. Of course, by the time 1:30 rolled around, there was a line of people I had to wait for.They were unorganized and became frustrated with me for "adding on services" (the brush out that should've been scheduled in the first place) and for refusing to call the client's vet for records with my hands full of anxious dogs.They didn't start on the first dog until 30 minutes after the appointment time. Then, around 2:45 when they were finishing up the last dog (after several trips back and forth to my car due to their lack of organization) there was an issue with check out. I explained to them twice when they checked the dogs in that I was the pet sitter and if they needed records / payment / etc to call Mom. So, when she told me the total and I asked her to call the client, she said, "I don't even think we can take payments over the phone. You're gonna have to call her and get that number," while rolling her eyes. I told her that didn't make any sense for me to be a middle man with a credit card number and asked her to call Mom herself. She scoffed, called the client, got the payment, and handed me the last dog without another word.I will say that the dogs' nails looked good and their brush outs were decent, but the groomers' attitude and lack of professionalism had me worried to leave my client's dogs in there without me.

Horrible groomers they don’t do their jobs had a horrible experience here never again. If your dog even has a slight amount of matting they’ll just shave your dogs hair all the way down because they don’t feel like brushing it out. Also if your dog even does anything as much as a growl they’ll stop taking your dog in and label your dog as aggressive. Groomers are super unfriendly and un profesional

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This disgusting groomer gave my moms dog a ear infection and killed her dog. It cost her thousands of dollars. The vet couldn’t even tell what the infection was and said it was rotting his ear from the inside. Dexter died before we got those test back. This groomer does not sanitize their tools. Please. I’m begging you. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. They have also not bothered to contact her after his death. These are horrible people who should not be in business. My parents are devastated by the loss of their baby and this business can’t even bother to call them!!!!!!!!!!!!

This location seems to not know how to handle the grooming of dogs over 70 pounds. I've taken my dog to multiple Petsmarts around Charlotte, with none of them having the issue of grinding the nails like this location. When I observed them perform the nail grind, one person was performing the grind(with them tethering him to the table per normal procedure), while the other worker held together my dog, almost like a bear hug, which if you work with dogs you would think that doing that is not a good idea. Again, no other location has informed me of having an issue of this magnitude.The icing on the cake however, is this location leaving a note in their system that my dog is unsuited to having a nail grind, and recommending extreme caution when performing this part of the grooming. I only found out about this note by dropping my dog off for a grooming today. The location I've taken him to today confirmed that they have not had issues in the past doing his nail grind.So in summary, if you have a large dog, do not take it to this location.

I took my two dogs to get there nails trimmed and to get there ears cleaned out and a bath the next day one of my dogs got really sick and had to take her to the vet she got gi bug and the other dog is showing symptoms their ears and stomach area ears still dirty and they are telling me there is nothing they can do about it they want even give me my money back I would never take anything there thank god they are getting shut down July 30

Used the self wash station. Absolutely no notice anywhere online that we needed an appointment but they let us use it, just said they couldn't give us towels or anything. Tub itself is good but the built in soap and conditioner seemed super diluted and the water/air hose wasn't very warm. Did the job but not all that impressed for $15 each dog.

Disappointed with our recent visit.. we took our dog for a bath ,cut and teeth brushed. my dog was not cut the way we asked. Found cuts on my dog.. it’s like they didn’t bath her. We put medication in her ears, sometimes that medication gets on her fur. We took her home and notice the fur around her ears was still full of the medication. I’m also wonder how they treated her because she came home exhausted like she had a long day. I won’t be coming back..

Scheduled two dogs for simple bath and nail grind. Appointments were at 1 and 2 respectively. Faculty closes at 530 and it was 6 pm before we were called to pick up our animals. Nails were trimmed but clearly not ground on second dog. Staff admitted they overbooked for the day. Both animals were dehydrated when they got home, one had been there for five hours, I suspect without water the whole time. Although we had good success with this site in the past, we will not be returning.

Horrible communication and overpriced. I had been bringing my dog for about a year just because the location was convenient and certain groomers did a decent job. Made a phone appointment and was never told my dog's rabies paperwork with them had expired. Took time off from work to bring in my dog for grooming and since my vet is a mobile clinic could not have rabies paperwork faxed over. I could have gone home and been back in 15 min with rabies paperwork, they offered me an appointment 3 hrs later I could not make. Day wasted as a result of their lack of communicating. Always, felt like it was overpriced and everything was up charged, this was the final straw. Will never be back.

Through some mis-scheduling on my part I showed up without an appointment. My babies desperately needed haircuts and the team agreed to fit them in. My babies are my family - so glad they are treated like family at The Groomery!
