Experienced started a bit rough due to the fact that the morning crew tested my battery around noon and placed it on the fast charger when the battery should have been placed on the slow trickle charger to charge for extended period of time. I came back 5 hours later to the battery leaking acid from being placed on the wrong charger. The battery was near its exploding point due to this. Everyone started playing the blame game since store policy was not followed. The morning associate Jay tested battery at 0 CCA and should have known to place battery on slow charger. I was initially told by Liz battery could not leave the store in that condition ultimately meaning I was out a battery and would need to buy another one from Advanced or another location. I was furious but didn't let it show but Closing manager Liz contacted GM of store and made things alot better. I was more concerned with leaving store with my battery versus being left emptied handed or forced to spend $200 on a new battery. Never expecting a free battery. I just needed to know where this battery stood. I think employees should go through a battery training process to avoid these issues in the future. I'd really like to thank Liz for just taking the extra steps she did while investigating what went wrong with the battery. Managers like that deserve to be recognized because they are who keep customers from turning to competitors. I walked in upset to the news but walked out completely satisfied with the way she handled things. Because of her, I'll definitely return to the location. I can always buy a new battery but running into managers with her level of professionalism, patience and passion for the customers will be hard to come across again. Thanks Liz for your help!!!

The service was great I forgot the name of the young lady who served me very knowledgeable of her job and the product you carry I would say great customer service clean store when ever I am in the hickory area I will be back thanks again sorry I forgot the name of the young lady.

I bought a die hard battery less than a year ago at advance auto. I gave 249.00 for it plus tax. I call them because it failed. I was told they did not have a record of the sale and would not honor it. DOnt buy from this company unless you have plenty of money to replace warranted items that they do not honor.if they'd me this way how many others have been ripped off?

Went to get the codes ran off on my car and get the battery checked, the people are friendly but I think the guy was new.. He finally figured it out so A of effort and I got everything tested!

I purchased a new battery 12/21/2019. The young man who installed it was very nice. Only had 1 option available that day. The battery was a problem from the beginning. Within the first 2 months corrosion on the battery. I called. Very rude. Said they had no record. This happened over and over. This July, I went to Advance in Boone, NC. The young man cleaned up the battery. Checked the cells, etc. Said it should not be doing that. I,purchased the cable pads that are supposed to prevent the issue. This morning, DEAD AGAIN. 5th time. So I went to the store of purchase. Granite Falls, NC. With receipt. Before even looking OR testing she says it's probably not your battery. Clearly it is. After testing etc she said there is no phone # on the receipt and that I should have made sure they logged it under my phone #. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm supposed to do their job? They no longer sell that battery. Wonder why. She walked off leaving my hood open. Is this their policy at that location?

This morning my check engine light came on. I was headed to auto zone but realized this was closer. When I got inside at 7:32 am there was a woman at the front. I asked for a check engine light scan and she rudely told me that I'd have to wait till 8:15 am. I could understand if she were unable to do it but she rolled her eyes the entire time she said it and seemed extremely annoyed with me. Just terrible customer service. I used to live in newton and the one in conover had terrible customer service as well. Not sure what their deal is but I will be avoiding them. Thank God I called auto zone and spoke to Linda who not only was extremely friendly but assured me she would be able to take care of me. I prayed I'd make it there and did. Avoid advance auto until they learn that good customer service is the backbone of every successful business. Thank you again Linda and auto zone!

Went to get some parts one afternoon after work. I really needed to use the restroom so as soon as I walked in I ask the employees eating pizza behind the counter if I could use the restroom. Them not realizing I was going to be a customer, a woman, I guess manager, snapped, we don't have a bathroom. I replied, I guess you don't need me as a customer then either. I turned around and walked out. I about peed my pants before I got to a restroom.I've voiced this to numerous people since. They will never get my business again..Thank you for letting me vent.

The only parts store I've found that actually treats customers like they matter....avoid Napa in Hudson... horrible staff

Wait in line, ask them to run a code for me.She then asks me to wait until she clears the line. Keep in mind this is a parts store people go to the desk and the employee to look things up for them.... This can take 5+ minutes. Help your customers that have already waited in line and then worry about the new customers. It's cool though just took my business elsewhere and had excellent service. If it weren't for Gary I'd probably never shop here again.

They need a better selection, although a nice location and alittle bigger then we could say [ Autozone) they atill have a smaller selection than they do at a larger location. Size matters not ehrn you just use the same stuff from a smaller store to fill up the area by arranging things oddly. Also my last visit dmwas no help. 1 enployee behind the counter couldn't pin point where an item would be on the shelf and there aren't many shelves so thats much below par I would say.Also the employee was chatting with a friend/customer over myself and brother whom needed an actual employees help. So poor customer service and another employee whom doesn't take the job seriously and would rather chat with a friend than help the customers coming in the store

What a disgrace. I buy all my parts from Advance and this is the closest location to me but I go to the store on LR BLVD because of the employees at this store. I won't go into detail about "them" in depth because if I describe them specifically this review will be taken down. Just be forewarned the staff doesn't care about the customer or the condition of the store.

called to see if they had a 3/8 cool-lent line they didn't but said they had fuel line same size i asked how much was 2 dollars and something a foot when i got there i guess they up sold me cause it was 8 dollars a foot i got three foot

Bought a keyless entry replacement from them went to get it programmed and would not work. Lost the receipt and they would not even give a store credit for a broken transceiver they sold me. I will from now own go to auto zone for any parts I might need from now own.

Nice store. Very helpful. Put a battery in in no time. You don't have to but give them a tip..it's worth every penny to be done in 15 minutes.

Dave help put the annoying wipers on my wifes car and made it seem like it was nothing... and it was, he showed me how to replace them while he was doing vey satisfy with the customer service in this store glad you guys are here!!!

Bought a lugnut key from them they wasn't sure which one was for mine so the guy took several out to see which one fits. Found the correct one took it home I had purchased two tires for the front of my truck that have still not been put on I found my old key in the dash and when I tried to return it some fat mean lady said I had already used it because it had plack metal dust in it? For one the part is black metal duuhhh and for two my tires still haven't been changed and the new ones are in the back of my truck still. Stay away from these idiots it's not an expensive piece but to know she plain out called me a liar when she obviously had no clue and I'd hate to see that happen to someone that it was a more expensive piece and was on budget or fixed income.

Never buy your battery there. We bought a 4 year battery. In one year the car wouldn't start and we had to charge it to get it to the nearest advance. They refused to replace the battery. Never going there again!
