I normally go to the tractor supply vet but I had my sister bring here since I had heard good things. I have never had an issue with him getting vaccines and the vets at tractor supply are able to get them done very smoothly. Here that was not my experience. They got my dog over excited and then attempted to give him his vaccines which did not go over well. He kept wanting to play and would not stay still and they could also not restrain him. This resulted in my baby having had to be poked 3 times. He came back home with a huge lump that covers a large portion of his leg, that I was told is normal, but he screams when I touch it.The staff was nice but I feel like they unnecessarily complicated the vaccination process which resulted in my dog being in more pain that he should have been.

I have had a few issues with Quality Care in the past, however, this review will pertain to the last such issue. My wife and I recently bought a puppy. Two days after we brought the little guy home, his front legs began to bow badly, his right paw was "knuckled over" pretty badly. Mind you, there were no such issues in the pictures we received prior to adoption, and no issues upon picking up the puppy, the bowing issues onset very quickly. My wife took the puppy to Q.C. 2 days after we adopted. After one look at the puppy (with no evaluation) the vet immediately diagnosed to puppy as being born with a physical deformity and that we were ripped off and should, "drive as fast as we can to get our money back". We were told that the dog would most likely need multiple surgeries and live an uncomfortable life in pain and on pain meds. This situation would likely cost us thousands of dollars. So much did the vet really push this that I asked "are you suggesting that I put the dog down?", she answered no but reiterated that the dog would be uncomfortable throughout life. The vet then made it a point to ask 2 other vets to come in and give the same diagnosis, each time stating, "I'm so sorry this happened to you" and, "breeders are such liars, I see this all the time".Needless to say my wife left in tears, especially considering we thought we may have to take the puppy away from our 3 year old who had become attached already (and who had already lost 2 dogs earlier that year). They also gave us a referral to see an orthopedist (definitely would've cost a ton). Not to mention they stated they would send all information ahead to the orthopedist, which they did not.We decided to get another opinion (thank god). The vet at another care facility looked at the puppy and after gathering information and an evaluation diagnosed the puppy with a vitamin D deficiency. He said we should wrap his legs with an ACE bandage, change his diet and make sure he's getting a multivitamin and he should be good. Two weeks out now from my initial visit to Q.C. and the puppies legs are substantially better, everything they said could not be more wrong. How they went about everything, every step of the way that day was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Had we actually heeded their advice, our now healthy puppy would have been brought back and my sons heart broken. As I stated above, I have had a few other issues in the past with Q.C. and as much as I was floored on how bad this particular visit went, I was not shocked a bit. Dr. Thornton is great, however, since QC has gotten bigger and taken on more vets, the quality at "quality care" has been awful. I will never take any animal in my family there ever again. This experience was absolutely terrible and thank god my red flags went off to the point where I truly felt they were full of it, because they were. I'm not saying they were intentionally deceptive, but the handling of this situation was alarmist, unnecessary, and frankly wrong. A diagnosis of a deformity could easily have been made without the comments about being ripped off, and how sorry they were that our puppy was essentially broken. I attribute this to poor knowledge of the breed (Shar Pei) and awful bedside manner.

I have a senior dog who is 9 years old, and I started taking him to Quality Care Animal Hospital last year. They provided a great wellness exam for him. Recently, I got two puppies three months apart. A female doodle named Piper and a male doodle named Theo. QC performed both spay and neuter services for our puppies. Our male pup did perfect after the surgery. There were no issues. However, our "labradoodle" was an entirely different story! We all have pro's and con's to every Google review: let me tell you something... this vet went above and beyond for our girl, Piper. She tore her incision on the outside twice. On a Saturday, QC got us in. We had to wait, which was expected, but they did right by her. They cared about our baby girl! I am not a person that expects handouts but they did so right by us that they only charged us for medication out of pocket. The only con I have is in her doc notes it stated we were called to inform us that she was in heat before the surgery was performed, and we were not called to discuss the risks, which worries me. However, this vet made up for that worry by helping us care for her after the surgery. The one feedback I would like to give is: Make certain your front desk staff are calling their pet parents to talk to them and inform them of care. Thank you, QC, and we are happy you will be part of our pet family for the foreseeable future.

All of my cat’s paperwork was emailed to them prior to the appointment. The front desk called me one hour before my cat’s appointment (with a bad attitude) to ask questions that I have already answered and then continued to question me like I’m stupid. If they would have reviewed the paperwork, they could have avoided questions like “are you sure it’s FIP and not FIV, ppl get them mixed up.”Then, I was told that I needed to wait in my car and call to let them know that I was there. That’s what I did. No one picked up the phone so I walked in and two women are sitting up front. One was on the phone the other was playing on her phone. They then told me to continue to wait in my car so someone can come out and talk to me. So I waited so someone could come tell me I could come inside.Inside, the vet herself defended the front desk for being rude and then said “I”m sorry you feel that way”.These people literally are treating my cat with FIP like he has such a contagious disease that he will kill anyone who comes in contact with him. I’ve been to 3 other offices including the specialist and not one person treated us like this. Everyone else has been kind. When they brought my cat back from getting blood drawn, he had a quarter size glob of blood on his tail. How did that even happen?I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. I’ve never had such a horrific experience. They clearly do not have experience with FIP and they clearly don’t care about you or your pet.

Our usual vet was too busy to see our dog in over a week. She had itchy allergies. Call Quality care on Thursday and took her there on Monday. By Tuesday morning on Apoquel she was fine and no more allergies. We're going to take our 4 cats now.

Have an extremely nervous shelter dog, who can be aggressive towards men an other dogs. The staff was so understanding and helped bring him in when it was quiet an my dog willingly went with staff an was so well behaved with his shots and tests. They brought him back an he was little nervous but happy to see us but was also happy to see staff when they came back to talk to us. Which for me was super impressive as it means they handled him well (no easy feat for a 114lb german Shepherd lab mix)Price was really reasonable even with the medicine he needed we even got a preventative as well! For all this it was in a super affordable price range.Again staff was super kind, they were super professional, and very polite! If I could give more stars I would!

I appreciate the care this Animal Hospital puts into your sweet pet. This place does not try and take advantage of your pockets and your pet. That speaks volumes for a veterinary hospital these days. Thank you 🙏💕

I have never written a negative google review in my life but I felt the need to share the horrible experience I had here on September 11, 2023. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism. My husband and I took our dog here to have a cyst on his head looked at. The exam room they make you wait in allows you to hear everything the vet techs and vet are saying while they care for your animal. They were making vomiting noises when they saw the cyst on his head. They complained to each other about my dog and his behavior. The most disturbing part was that one of the people helping to shave my dogs head claimed they would “knock him out” because he was moving too much. They made fun of his head and the hair cut they gave him. They were telling each other to “shhh” when they realized they were being too loud. The lack of care and professionalism was astounding and I could not believe the disregard for the amount of pain and stress my dog was in. Dr. Abby Vennekotter allowed for this type of behavior to occur and was one of the individuals in the back room while this was going on. I hope they realize the impact their words and actions can have on people and animals that come to them looking for help and care but instead are made to feel like they are a bother and a burden. I hope they all do better for the next patient.

This is not even my normal vet but it may soon be! I called with an issue that needed addressed quickly when my regular vet couldn't work me in. The staff was amazing they got me an appointment, my wait was super short, and my dog got the care she needed for a very reasonable price for an "emergent" type visit. They were kind with my dog and very informative. I would recommend them.

Appointment was straightforward and simple! However, my puppy was a simple diagnosis. He was tested for fecal, as needed. He was fine.An $80 exam is crazy and addition $50 for fecal? So I gave $140 for a basic exam and 13 week check up!Nice vet and accommodating but sorry, this seems very extreme pricing especially in country!

These vets are knowledgeable in pets AND farm animals. If your looking for a vet that will take chickens these are your people!I’m 30 minutes away but drive out there for vet visits with my chickens which most vets won’t see. Appointments can be made quickly or you can ask for the vet a question. They are what an old fashion vet clinic looked like, no fancy decor so their prices are AMAZING. It cost only 40$ for them to knock my chicken out and do a quick surgery. It was so worth taking her there I will not hesitate or try to fix the issue again it’s less heart ache to just go to this vet and solve the problem. They will figure it out whatever it is.

Called the day before and they told me to be there the next day at 8AM. I was there with my little dog, Daisy at 7:45 am. We did not have to wait long and we were called to the back. Dr Loyd's assistant was very concerned about my little dog. She asked all the right questions when I explained what was going on with Daisy. She then told me she was going to perform a blood test on Daisy and she would bring her right back to me. When she brought Daisy back she informed me how long the wait would be for the results. My wait wasn't as long as the assistant had said and Dr Loyd entered the room we were in. She, Dr Loyd, explained to me the results of the blood test and gave me some options of treatment for Daisy. All the staff employed at Quality Care Animal Hospital always has your pet's best interest at heart. They also care about the pet's owner also, giving them options for their pet's health. I really love this place and trust them with my little dog's life. Thank all of you at Quality Care Animal Hospital for all that you do and the way you treat my little Daisy and me.

My husband and I are very grateful for this animal hospital. Dr. Thornton and his staff are kind and truly seem to care about our fur babies. They have been helpful in treating our boys and accommodating to get us in as soon as possible when we needed it.

Dr. Thornton is a great Veterinarian doctor. You can tell how much he loves animals by the way he cares for them. Most of the technicians that I have had experience with really care about the animals and connect so easily with them. The prices are really reasonable and great quality care..

Great staff. They are always as accommodating as possible, even during emergency situations and I truly believe they are one of the few offices around that genuinely care for the pets they are seeing versus in it just for the money like you may find some other offices are. Absolutely would recommend.

I was referred to this Vet by a close friend. I took my 4.5 Yorkie in for an absess tooth. They did a quick check, sent me home with meds and scheduled his dental for 2.5 weeks later! My dog was is serious pain but they said that was the earliest they could get him back in. Not feeling good about this place, I took him for his extraction and dental. They called me 4 hours later & said they had to pull about 6 teeth & he was in recovery. I was finally allowed to pick him up 3 hours later and was told they pulled 15 teeth and the bill was almost $600! No one contacted me about his removals or asked if it was ok to pull that many. They also required the full bill paid at pick up and would not budge. I was upset and paid the bill & took him home. My poor dog was in serious pain the next day and was having congestion and coughing. I called twice to speak to the vet, left a message, no return phone call until the following week. Im now finding a new vet that I can trust with my dogs. I feel that Quality Care is all about price gouging and not at all considerate to actual quality of care for animals. My dog is taking much longer to recover and we have to deal with him having hardly any teeth left.

Cannot say enough great things about this office! We have not established a home veterinarian and they graciously took care of our issue, no questions asked, the same day. Didn't try to "upsell" or find more issues than the one we were there for. They were accommodating, affordable and professional. Thankful I found them and will definitely use them in the near future!

My dog had a random rash flare up so the following morning I called to get an appointment and they were able to get me in within the hour. My dog has bad anxiety when at the vet. This is the first vet my dog did not pee at or shake the whole time. Dr. Lloyd was so sweet as well as her vet assistant who greeted us and helped. I switched and made Quality Care Animal Hospital my dogs primary vet. Everyone there seemed to truly care and it really warmed my heart.

Absolutely love this office! I came with low expectations due to a bad experience at a different vet office, but Quality Care Animal Hospital truly does give your pets quality care for a fraction of the price! Not only do they take care of your pets, they also make sure owners feel heard and understand everything. 10/10 would recommend!

My dog was very sick. I called them on a Monday morning and they worked her into their schedule. She needed emergency surgery and they did it that same day. Their prices was so reasonable and I'm grateful to them for saving my Jazzy. They were so caring and knowledgeable. They definitely will keep my business.
