I've started shopping at Food Lion more. They are cheaper than Ingles. The one thing I do suggest is making sure stuff is in date before buying. There's a group of employees in there who are always pulling extra shifts and they are the friendliest people ever but even those few can't do it all. The bag boys are great too and if my little one is pitching a fit for candy. They take the time to talk to her and play with her to distract her so Mom can check out. No one will ever understand how much that means to this old first-time mom. I truly feel blessed by those cashiers and bag boys.

We go here once in awhile. This time seemed a bit better sales and stocked well.Store looked clean and organized well.Seems as like the past times we have been here they were low on some things.Very happy this time.

Parking is wonderful. Easy in. Easy out. Great produce. Great meat selection. Great prices. Great service. Could use a bigger, better deli. Always clean and you always get good buggies. Employees are outstanding. Super nice and helpful. Willing to order anything you ask if they have it available.

I am a near daily shopper and this is by far my favorite grocery store to go to in Rutherford County. I love all of the cashier's I talk with, the store is well organized and clean, the stock is maintained efficiently, and they have some of the best prices around. I don't enjoy grocery shopping but they make it a much less painful experience 💛

Things were great until I got to the register then it ran down hillIt would not except my food card. I had to leave most all of it there. They need to accept all food cards.

They had products priced wrong and the cashier would not fix the problem. I had to pay the higher price and then go to customer service and discuss it with them. They finally refund me the difference after I told them to give credit and they could have the product back. Thhey were supposed to be on sale and they were trying to change regular price. Wonder how many people they got on it2-11-22 the cashier that I went to was a young man. He was rude ,never smiled, never even spoke unless I said something. He was loading bags with heavy items to the hilt and I asked him to please not make them so heavy. He scowled at this and took 1 item out and pushed the bag to me and snarled "can you handle this "? I had already explained to him that I had trouble lifting heavy bags. I picked it up and the look that he gave me was "don't you dare say that it is too heavy ",so I just told him that it was heavier than I was comfortable with but I would deal with it. He still loaded the rest heavy or way too full. When he was done and I paid he snatched the receipt off the register and said "here while holding it toward me. No thank you for shopping. He never asked if I found everything that I was looking for or anything courteous.

Always good deals.they have upgraded the inside of the store. Are beginning to have a lots of shortages on some items Still not fully stocked..It is going up on the price of every single item. Cheaper at walmart.prices are still going up. Great store prices need to come back down. Still need to lower price. Probably have to wait until BIDEN leaves office for prices to drop.

Came in on a Saturday morning and found the store to be clean and well cared for. Easy to find the items we came in for to make a late breakfast. Cashier was friendly and made some light conversation while the transaction was completed. Great experience for just grabbing a few quick items.

The sidewalk around the front of the store should be kept up better. Had a lot of trash thrown about. Needs some updating inside.

I love this store, managers are great!! With the pandemic they are handling it like champs! Lots if rude customer's blaming them for not having things they have no control over. I think everyone deserves a raise! My only complaint is the deli/bakery for some reason the cookies that you pay almost a fortune for are never fully cooked. I complained they were cooked right for a couple of weeks right back to half cooked they went! Disappointing for sure!! I know they tried it's whoever is in charge of making the cookies is dropping the ball! All and all I always have a pleasure shopping here!

This is the local grocery store I choose to frequent! Excellent staff ALWAYS! They are sanitary also! Clean store 99% of the time. They have good prices all the time, on top of loads of weekly deals & coupons to add to my savings! They have a delicious deli section if you aren't in the mood for fast food, but need something fast! Lots of instore made cookies, cakes, breads etc. They also have the Foodlion app to help earn back from your purchases... Definitely a nice place to have in Forest City!

I come to this Food Lion at least 3 to 4 times a week. It used to be my favorite grocery store, because of the low prices, small, and customer service. But here recently the customer service has really went down. They do not greet you as you walk in, and when you check out you have to say hey how are you before most of them will even speak. Tonight the young lady didn't even say have a nice night or anything. I would rather go to Ingles and pay higher prices for better customer service.

It was very nice, a young man checked my groceries and he is just so nice. I went the other day and he was so nice I decided to wait in line today just to be in his line. The happy attitude he has is catchy. He needs a raise.

Jen helped me out w pumpkins as they were out when I went. She was kind enough to put 2 up for me when the new shipment came in. She even helped me get them to and in my car! Thx Jen!! Only thing was they didnt have the ice cream I was looking for from 2 different companies. Found elsewhere tho. So they could use to be on top of ordering more products to be more competitive w other local stores.

I love this store. They are always sweet. I was not feeling well and she unloaded my groceries from the cart to the belt afterwards put the bags neatly back in ty he cart for me. Big help and I appreciated it immensely. Ty.

Wow this Food Lion makes ours in South Shelby look tiny. The produce department is way better than the one in S Shelby. The whole store is about 25% larger I would say. Very clean and a great section of products. Forest City y'all are lucky you have em there!!

This place is great and helpful. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Only wish you didnt have to walk to the back of the store to use the bathroom. But overall great place. I would recommend Food Lion to everyone. I love how cheap everything is and its got everything you need right there in one spot. Great job Food Lion!

Nice and clean store with great deals. I love that they put your frozen foods in blue bags, and your other items in white bags. It makes it much easier when unloading my trunk to know what bags to take in first.
