The shelves are Rarely stocked even remotely & always in a mess/ very unorganized. Everything seems to always be in boxes waiting to get put on the shelves & never end up there Nothing is ever in the right place so you rarely know the price of something . Staff is friendly but it's not easy to get in and out because of the consistent disarray.The shelf shown was BEFORE Christmas. It should have never had an empty spot at all.

Since self checkout has been added, it has become a nightmare to patron the store. Not all products are available to self check, which means you have to wait for a cashier. Some come with a pleasant attitude, others with anger. Prices do not match what's on the shelves and stock is greatly reduced compared to other stores in the county.

This is by far the worst Dollar General I’ve ever been to. It’s so messy and never stocked. There are huge carts with a ton of unstocked merchandise sitting in the aisle. The workers work really slow and can be extremely petty. They rarely have more than one register open. The air conditioning has been out for over a month now, so it’s extremely hot inside. For the past week they’ve been closing at three everyday but they refuse to update the google hours online. I live near this location and drive out of my way to another Dollar General just to avoid this place. Don’t go to this DG if you can help it. It’s awful!

The air conditioning has been out at this location for over a month. Obviously the company does not care about its employees or customers I spoke with Brad Bowers the company's district manager last week he assured me an update today when called he unfortunately did not have an updateHis regional manager Tim Barnes has also done nothing to help this situation it will be fall or later before this located has air conditioning restored. While Mr. Bowers and Mr. Barnes sit in there air conditioned space and do nothing please shop somewhere else

Good fully stocked store. Employees are nice. But they always just have one register open and it's not enough. The store is the busiest one in Rutherford county. It takes 15 to 20mins to check out. They need another register open. I only had 1 item.

Store is never stocked! Never ever stocked and has been that way before the pandemic. Only giving 1 star because I have no choice. Staff is overworked and don’t have time to stock because they won’t allow more than 2 employees to work at same time.

This is the dirtiest Dollar General I've EVER been in! It smells horrible, looks like they NEVER sweep the floor and they are always out of stock. Every other DG in the county is nice and clean and well stocked....this one is terrible.

I love the Dollar General on HWY 221 A, SANDY Mush! The supervisor Shemay Ledbetter is wonderful. She truly goes above and beyond to help all costumers! The other staff always makes me feel as welcome as family! They have the biggest refrigerated and freezer section, it sure beats going all the way to grocery store! And the digital coupons, are very handy as well. DAILY COSTUMER FOR LIFE! And its she the cutest costumer yet!!❤❤❤

This is my 2nd favorite DG! The manager up there is a family friend and the rest of the staff are great too! Store is always clean. Clerks aren't ever "just standing around". Nice job DG Sandy Mush!

Forest city N.C. has a few great Dollar General stores that are wonderful. Rutherfordton, N.C. however is an entirely different story! Both stores are in desperate need of a surprise corporate visit!! Im not sure how these 2 stores continue to remain open. They are not properly stocked. Employees at both stores are very unprofessional & quite rude. I pray i dont need any assistance each time I visit one of these 2 stores. They will not help you find anything & if you ask for a specific item, their answer is always "i dont think we even carry that here" (EverYtiMe) Even though id just purchased the same last week from this very store. 2weeks ago while visiting the one located below the abc store in rutherfordton,I personally witnessed the assistant manager (Young heavyset blonde hair, maybe age 26 or so) be very rude to an elderly lady in an electric wheelchair because she needed help putting her items on the counter in order to pay. It was around 8:45 pm on Sunday & im sure the employees were ready to go home but Thats No Excuse! I stepped around my buggy & said "ill help you,you sit right there" after helping her get her bags onto her chair, i turned around & looked the Rude asst mgr in the eyes, got my purse from my buggy, & walked out the door. I helped the woman load her bags into her car. I told her i was calling corporate to complain since this was the 2nd time id witnessed this very same girl treat a customer like this & told her to please do the same. Theres no sense in this. If you hate your job so bad that you feel you should act this way toward elderly people when your asked to DO YOUR JOB, then i suggest you find yourself a different job. I will continue to make the dollar general stores People on up the ladder aware of her obnoxious behavior every single time i witness such.

I go to the dollar general every day. I can buy almost everything I need at a better price. All of the employees are doing a great job and they are polite, and they always say thanks for shopping there and come back. 😀🙋

I can still get things like Gain and Tide laundry detergent for a cheaper price than purchasing it from the grocery store. There are many other of my favorite brands they carry and I don't have to fight a crowd just to get in and out.

Good place to buy drugs and house hold products.shopped before at Flea town usa, but purchased drugs there and the seals were tampered with and different drug was in bottle. You could get tainted drugs there ,not worth the savings..I Don't shop there no more for anything .....

The shelves are not stocked the store not clean and they wear masks in the store I like to see who I'm talking to who gives a s*** about the pandemic I'm not going to wear a mask I protest against wearing a mask so I don't wear one and I'm not going to be made to wear one

Unorganized. Needed a lot of front facing. I went around the store three times before I found the products i was looking for. It was behind other merchandise on the shelf and there was a cardboard box in front that I had to move out of the way to find it. Will not shop there again. Takes to much time to hunt products.

Dirty, always looks as if no one works there. The shelves are barren, the worker's are never in uniforms (black shirt/pants), stuff thrown all over the floor.

Well, sorta had issues finding what I needed. I went to the grocery aisle's to get a can of specfic Campbell's soup/gravy for a beefstew and well after the looking this time this store was out, and had to go elsewhere.

Stock was everywhere ! Stacked higher than shelves! Coolers ate half working and other half not.Shelves were bare,unorganized and you couldn't hardly walk threw isles!

This location is always messy and understocked. The daytime staff is grouchy. Especially the older lady. She acts like her face will break if she smiles lol The night time staff is very friendly though!

This is the busyes dollar general. I've ever seen in my life I had to wait for 30 min's to get check out but they treat you good and they help you when they have time to help you if they are not really busy

Cashier has to stock shelves , and do the check out too IN CLINTON so you will have to find them let them know you need to be checked out.
