Don’t even waste your time trying to buy a pet here. The house solitary species together which is a big no no. Feces and urine in most of the enclosures. Just all around not a good business. The staff is nice though.

I’ve been to ALOT of pet stores. And never have I EVER been greeted by the smell of pure death when opening the door. It made me wanna puke. My stomach hurts still. The animals are incredibly overstocked, and just down right disgusted. With multiple ball pythons (which shouldn’t be housed together) in one nasty tank. And with over 50 rats and mice crawling on top of each other. With multiple giving birth, and multiple dead. The crested geckos has no humidity, or anything safe to climb on. And one was dead. Ironic they have suggestions on the wall for animal care, that they don’t follow. And the pricing was insane for neglected and half alive animals. 50$ for Pacman frogs that are 15$ down the road at a much cleaner pet store. I was debating buying a few animals just to save them. But decided against it as it would only give them business. This place should be shut down for good.

We showed up 10 minutes til clothes and still received amazing service. My fish are healthy, happy, and beautiful. 10/10 would recommend as the right place to get aquatic creatures. They also have some reptiles and creepy crawlies that are beautiful and fairly priced.

I understand the smell and cannot attest to reptiles and such. However, ever fish I have ever purchased form this store always thrive. They seem to be very hardy, more mature. I have a beautiful and bright pair of blue acaras I purchased here almost a year ago and they are the most amazing fish I believe I have ever had. Like most stores, always check your purchases.

Aqua-Rama Pet Center your establishment is disgusting. You’ve had countless complaints over the years about the conditions of your animals and still nothing has been done. Your store was a disaster before the fire and now it’s even worse. Get these babies better conditions they deserve that at least. I’ve made complaints personally multiple times to your store about dead animals in cages and many looking malnourished and nothing was ever done the ones that were dead got tossed after multiple customers passed by making comments multiple times and the ones that were malnourished ended up not making it because they still weren’t given proper care. Your business is disgusting and you obviously have no care for those animals. You don’t deserve to have them or be open again.

Just left this place and it’s absolutely disgusting. You know when you walk into a pet store and you can automatically tell if they actually care for the pets in their possession or if they’re just money hungry? The owners of this shop are completely money hungry. I went in only looking for dubia roaches for my gecko and although they had them I ended up leaving with nothing just because I didn’t want to support them. They had adult leopard geckos living together in tiny tanks, they all had extremely THIN tails, severe signs of metabolic bone disease, with free roaming crickets (crickets bite leopard geckos if left unattended btw!), and some of their salt water eels were in tiny containers within the big tanks. Numerous snakes were in small enclosures together. The rats and mice were kept in completely unsanitary conditions (I wouldn’t trust feeding them to any snakes..). Their bearded dragons were also severely underweight. NONE OF THE ANIMALS EVEN HAD CLEAN WATER. It’s obvious they don’t care about their animals at all and if you purchase from them, it seems that you’d likely soon be drowning in vet bills due to them selling sick animals for ABSURD prices. Never again will I walk into this absolutely nasty, stinky, and DEPRESSING “pet” shop. If I could rate them negative stars, I would in a heartbeat. I’ve attached a picture of the underweight leopard geckos.

The tortoises are not kept in proper conditions. If you purchase a hatchling from this location, there is a high chance you will experience hatchling failure syndrome like I did. Hatchlings are so vulnerable and fragile and require specific conditions to thrive. This store does not provide adequate housing for them and likely does not get them from reputable breeders. They sold me an aquarium for my tortoise which is absolutely the WRONG way to house them. All I can advise is to do research before buying a reptile, amphibian, or any other exotic animal. Think twice before buying from here.

I had went awhile ago to this store. I went before the fire that ended many of the animals lives. It smelled of urine. Seeing the new comments I am not the only one shocked and grossed out about the animal cruelty that goes on in this shop. Animals are not products to be sold they are living creatures that need to be cared for. I bought a Guinea pig even though I should have not paid any money to this place something in my gut told me to get her and that was right before the major fire. She’s no longer in a glass cube which Guinea pigs are not suppose to be in but she’s healthy and living way better. I wish I could take all the animals from here. It’s sad seeing those Leo’s in others pictures. This place should go out of business.

I do not understand how Aqua-Rama Pet Center is still a thing… all of these animals and lizards look soooo depressed, distressed and DEAD. Their “so rare” lizard that is priced for 1kish.. dead in the water bowl… alllll of these animals look pitiful & I just wanted to throw a fit in the store for them all..Aqua-Rama Pet Center Aqua-RamaDO BETTER 😡And their response to my complaint is so unprofessional and disgusting. They blocked their name from being tagged because they know it’s true.Now I’m being threatened with them getting their attorney on me for my honest review that several others have said before too. This place is so unprofessional and the smell of death will meet you at the door, literally.#rantover

Not perfect but have been taking care of animals for decades and I've had very few problems with the many fish, reptiles and supplies I've bought. I was curious at the rash of 1-star angry sounding reviews. Food for thought, most of them have a 5-star review for another pet store, a high review for a tattoo shop and nothing else. I think they made someone that does tattoos for a living angry. 🤣

Have traveled many times to this location for their reptiles through the years. My Albino burmese python (Merlin) was a tiny baby when I picked him up he now is shown in the Baltimore Zoo (20ft), and still answers to his name when called. Wonderful staff, Suzanne is so kind and helpful. I paid for my pets over the phone and felt very comfortable doing so. Thank you for being pet/reptile friendly, the reptiles sold here are very healthy and cared for nicely. Newest baby (Squirtle) is a yellow belly slider. Thank you Suzanne, and staff.

(Photos posted are of pets I've gotten from Them) We WILL NOT Shop at any other pet store in town we have bought snakes, a puppy, and a few ferrets here. Joe and rose are some of the hands down nicest, down to earth people I have EVER met. We also get out feeders for our snakes here and our feeder fish for our albino pacman from (who we also purchased from aquarama) they have everything you could need! I've been shopping here for a long time and that will not change ANY time soon. All these bad reviews are from someone who was mad and didn't get there way don't believe them these people and this place is awesome!

Family ran and they have some fish and other animals the typical chain pet stores don't keep in-stock.I love this place and I definitely will be getting more fish and snails from here.They just update the layout and got more tanks added to house more stock.Definitely turning back into the big store again.

I've been there twice and the man over charged me for a jumbo rat. He adds $2 each time. When I went to look at my bank statement and it doesn't match my receipt. I will be going back to address the situation and along with calling my bank.

I absolutely love this place. You can feed the turtles. They have so many different exotic animals. The owner doesn't put down the puppies that aren't adopted, she actually takes them home.

I really loved this place! The prices for pets is so great compared to every other pet store in Fayetteville (we really went to all of them and compared prices). They had so many different types of animals birds fish reptiles... the list goes on. When you walk in you cross a bridge that goes over a huge turtle enclosure!! It really is nice. We did purchase a rabbit for a great price (its half of what pet supermarket charges) and she is happy and healthy! I will return!

My boyfriend and I always check out new reptile and pet stores when we travel, and this is probably one of the worst reptile shops i have ever visited in my life. The odor when you first walk in in awful. Smells extremely unclean and not taken care of. The tanks that the reptiles and snakes are kept in, barely even have enough substrate to cover the bottom, thus leaving a-lot of the bottom glass exposed. There was not a single hide to be found in the leopard geckos tanks. Leopards need hides and or clutter, or they will get stressed out. There was no temperature gauges in any of the tanks. One of the Uromastyx was completely sunken in, you could visibly tell he was underfed and dehydrated. We have tons of reptiles and are pretty well educated on these guys, and this was honestly sickening to see. How this shop is considered a 4.2 is way beyond me. If youre going to open up a store like this, ATLEAST do the bare minimum. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

They are, for the most part, helpful when it comes to aquatic pets. I bought a betta and he is so silly, yes even a fish has personality! My niece thinks he's a girl, so his name is lady glitter sparkles.

They have ALL types of pets and pet needs here folks. Not just fish. GO HERE and be impressed by not only selection but service as well. A+!

DO NOT GO HERE!! They sold a leopard gecko with MBD- a bone disease which is easily preventable with proper lighting and diet for 160$. The poor things eyes are closed shut and has mouth rot. This place should be condemned.
