A working farm with an event venue. Wing in the mountains the terrain is hilly and uneven. The event I attended was comfortable with tables and chairs. Food was by food truck on site. There was music that day. The store sells meats raised from the farm that are a little more than supermarket prices but you know where it came from locally.

I just attended a hog butchering workshop at the farm store. Brian is a very talented butcher and very personable. I filled up my cooler with steaks and chops while I was there. HNG is an incredible resource!

The staff is nice and friendly. Was there for the Faire. As Renaissance events go, this one rates about a 2. However, the $13 was worth it to see the visitors and their costumes and good cheer. Vendors were excellent as well.

Great place all around. I have been taking my kids here for years and it’s always a win. I personally love the lack of supervision. The staff trusts you to follow rules so you feel more relaxed enjoying the animals

AMAZING FARM! We buy all of our meat there, steaks, chicken, sausages, and liver for our dogs. The quality is top notch and we enjoy every meal with their products. We enjoy their sausages for breakfast and in our spaghetti-it takes it up a notch with its delicious favour! I also love their roast beef and pastrami. We just tried their blueberry maple sausage which is a great side for breakfast! They do farm tours, pony rides and hay rides during certain seasons. They also do a day when artists and food trucks come in. JUST AN OUTSTANDING FARM!

We get our meat CSA here every month. Such great quality. We tried their new menu today for lunch. The pulled pork bbq sandwich was incredible. Best BBQ I've had in WNC. Definitely worth the trip for that meal alone. Plus they have magical picnic area with a little stream for kids and dogs to play in.

Must stop here. The best Pork and Beef products. Met the owners while walking who were very nice, hard working and managed to get us a few products. Must order ahead of time due to COVID and limited staff. The cured meats and bacon were amazing if you appreciate knowing where your food comes from. The employees that helped us were great and trusted us like we have not seen in far too long.

HNG is my go to source for humanely raised meat. They are an important part of the community and take their role seriously. Lots of fun activities and local foods are available at the farm. Yesterday i stopped and bought local apples and HNG pork chops and bratwurst. You've never had pork until you've enjoyed pasture raised pork.

These people love what they do and it really shows. Best service and meat I've ever had. If I lived here I would be stopping by at least once a week. They also have tons of different kim chi and pickled vegetables that go great with a steak or some spicy brats.

We received a pepperoni sausage for Christmas and cut it open. It smelled bad and tasted worse. The package was well sealed, but somehow it went sour.Had to throw it away.

Jennifer, at the farm store, was absolutely stellar and so very kind to me and my autistic son. We have gone there for years to shop but especially because my son adores the baby chicks. It's heartwarming to visit a place where us locals can feel right at home. The highest quality most humanely raised meat products and other locally made foods. I am proud to make my contribution to local business and support all that I believe and that in which I teach my son...for the present but also his future.

Nice farm, has much better quality of meat. All the workers were very knowledgeable about the life of their cattle as well as the manner of slaughter. It's a little ways out there but well worth the drive. In addition to meat products they have apples, spices, hot sauce, cheese, creame, popcorn and honey.

One of our family’s favorite experiences near Asheville! Amazing local meat products, as well as a super cute store that had tons of other local goods. The kids loved getting see the baby chicks, piglets, and slide down the culvert slides. Overall an incredible experience and we will definitely be back!

We held my daughters 1st birthday at HNG Farm and it was perfect! We loved having the option to have the party catered and we were not disappointed. Fun location with lots for the kiddos (and fun adults) to do. The team put together a delicious brunch spread that everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend the venues and catering!

Great outdoor adventure for the entire family!Kids were extremely happy with the interaction with the animals, the horse riding and the hayride as well. As for food, other people in our party said the pulled-pork meal was good. Would be nice if there were actually attendants walking around helping to show you where the different activities were though. Also a suggestion would be maybe to offer samples for the Apple Cider and honey to boost interest in purchasing.

My wife and I visited their live music event tonight for the first time. We loved it. Such a peaceful, beautiful place. The bluegrass band played in a large converted barn, and we ate dinner in here as well. The BBQ pork, corn on the cob, potato salad was all delicious. I was familiar with their meat products before visiting, but didn't realize they had such a cool event on Friday evenings. Different musicians every week, and plenty of things to keep kids busy with slides and playground areas. We will be back... Oh, and the ice cream in the country store was awesome!

I love this place! Really cute farm store that offers lunch sandwiches/salads and drinks to take and go find a serene place to eat on the farm. Often there are chickens, pigs and goats to view, which are great for the kids. Definitely recommend taking a trip out there. It's a beautiful area.

Today I went to the Hickory Nut Gap Farm store specifically to purchase a couple roasts and chorizo. To my delight the person who manages the CSA was there and she told me all about how it works. She open several boxes so I could see what was included, she explained where and when pick ups/deliveries happen, and what to do if there are cuts you don’t like. She was wonderful and I regret I did not inquire as to her name. This was an unparalleled experience. If you are looking for quality meat with a very extensive variety of cuts and flavors go to HNG. I became a CSA member today and in addition to the small box I also got a chuck roast, which I enjoyed for dinner tonight, and a couple of speciality flavors of sausage(blueberry and maple and Swedish potato and onion). I am so excited to begin my CSA adventure with HNG and explore all they have to offer. Also, my box had a whole chicken which made me overjoyed.

There beef is incredible. We have had steaks, roasts, stew meat and ground beef. All of it was wonderful. We have also bought whole chickens. Very tasty birds that made excellent broth for soups! Highly recommend.
