Great atmosphere! Dog friendly / pet friendly, & people friendly 😊. Friendly and helpful staff. Good wifi, drinks (I got a simple sweetened iced green tea), table, sitting (+ comfy couches for you and your dog, and great place to hang out if you have to do remote work on your laptop with your furry friend. The owner was kind enough to offer great quality treats to my BF’s dog 😊. Calm and great place to hang out.Dietary restrictions: Great REAL FOOD for dogs 🐶Parking: Customer ParkingKid-friendliness: There were no kids at the time, but this place has so much space. They have simple, board games on the tables for kids and adults to entertain themselves with.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair Ramp was available. I didn’t need to use the ramp, but I still used it LOL. This place has thought of everything.

Guys, this is my all-time FAVORITE place at Emerald Isle!!! I love taking my Shepherd mix in there and let him pick out what he wants. And Josh makes me a coffee drink that’s not even on the menu and it is PHENOMENAL!! I asked Josh about a harness for my pup, he could have made a sale, but instead recommended that I wait until he’s grown so we don’t have to buy more harnesses as he grows. He chose integrity and honesty over a sale. I cannot tell you how impressed we were and how much respect he gained from us. Free WiFi, amazing coffee, shopping, pet supplies, birthday boxes, pup cups…they have it all!! This is a must-do with your fur-baby!

What a great place! Got to take the dogs in here today and throughly enjoyed it. They had great coffee and the pup cups were great and the dogs loved them. They also had many pet items and food as well as treats clothing and decorations. The porch was great to take my dog on when he got a little excited seeing the other dogs. Overall I had a great time and will return.

This place was sooo cute! A pet store AND a coffee shop? I mean, you can't ask for better than that! My dog, Diesel, got several snacks and I got an iced samoa latte with whipped cream! They had indoor and outdoor seating as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out :)

Finally! A coffee shop with more than one sugar-free flavor option!!! I ordered a sugar-free, dairy-free chocolate cherry iced coffee and it did not disappoint. It was so good I had to share with everyone I knew. And everyone loved it! I can't wait to try more flavors. Plus, we picked up some cool treats and toys for the pup. If we planned on staying, we would have enjoyed swinging or rocking on the front porch.

I cannot say enough good about this place! My dog loves it just as much as I do! Great selection and quality pet products. The coffee they offer is also amazing. And nothing beats the hospitality of the staff! Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. Pretty close to heaven for dog people

I came here with my dad and my dog. I absolutely loved the place. There is a nice area to sit and get coffee/tea and there are great products to buy something for your pup. I got an iced chai and it tasted delicious! The store employees are all very friendly as well. I'll definitely come back regularly.

Brought my cocker spaniel here for his first birthday. Great selection of treats, chews, toys and other supplies. Great coffee as well. Plenty of seating. Staff also loved on my good boy :)

Unique shop to find items for doggos or kitties AND grab a cup of Joe. Today, my first visit, I purchased some gifts for my fur friends, grabbed an Amaretto latte and enjoyed a sit on a sofa to work. Free Wi-Fi. Lots of seating inside and outside! Parking can be snug but plentiful toward rear.

Stopped in while taking our fur babies for a walk. Owner was extremely friendly and had a calming effect on our guys making them feel right at home! Got our babies a few pigs ears and ordered a smoothie for mom and dad. It was delicious! Our guys received a pup cup which they devoured in minutes! Highly recommend you stop in and shop. Prices are quite reasonable and if they don’t carry it, it hasn’t been made👍

Very nice store - have been here before. Open at 7 am for dog lovers who want to walk their pets before it’s too hot for their paws! Tons of high-quality treats, comfy seats, dog toys galore, and tasty coffee and cold frappes.

My sister and I come for vacations at Salter Path and we love coffee. Always we stop by Muttigans while here and depending on the weather we enjoy hot or iced coffee and either sit at a table and play one of the games or enjoy the swing on the porch. Wendy is great helping us choose our coffee for the day. It is peaceful and relaxing to be there.

Absolutely Love!!!Great customer service and have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. What a great staff! I want to give a shout out to Emily that so graciously stopped what she was doing (she was trying to get things ready to close). I didn't realize I was so close to closing time when I came in and wanted to order coffee. When I realized I was one of those people...lol I told Emily it was ok I hadn't realized the time. She insisted with a smile on her face and got me my coffee. WOW right? Thank you Emily for the great customer service.Another shout out to Dawn in grooming! I am very particular about where my Gracie goes due to her being very anxious and being misplaced from New Bern since Hurricane Florence. You rock Dawn! When I picked my Gracie up she was wagging and happy, oh and smelled really good too:) Sorry for the long review but it is well worth the read if your looking for great customer service, a friendly face, and safe place for your pup to be groomed.Thank you Muttigans in Swansboro and Emerald Isle!

This was about my 4-6th time here. They still have amazing staff, extremely friendly and sweet. All dogs are welcome here. They have a pup cup you can buy for a cheap price. Smoothies are fantastic. They also have a variety of supplies for your dog. The decor is beautiful and the music is very soothing.

Wonderful, wonderful, and WONDERFUL place to visit. I wish I had discovered it earlier on my vacation. They have vegan desserts and you can get basically any drink made vegan. Dog store has a bunch of cute things and staff is veer friendly.

Brought my niece and daughter while on a big family vacation to EI. Atmosphere was great and drinks were delicious!! Nice swings and rockers to sit in on the porch. The owner (I believe she is the owner) was very friendly!! Will definitely be back before we leave!!

We were looking forward to visiting Muttigans during our trip to Emerald Isle. The coffee drinks are delicious, and the variety of dog treats and cookies is outstanding. The best thing about this store is the amazing and thoughtful owner. We had forgotten to pack our dogs' shampoo and brushes, so the owner drove over to the Swansboro store that day to pick up the specific brush we use. She was so nice and chatted with us while we were looking around the store. She was knowledgeable about the various products she carries and helped us pick out a few different items. My husband picked up the brush the next morning when he got our coffee. I always like to support local businesses, but this one is a standout for sure.
