Saying this is the BEST pet store would still be an understatement. This was the associate who helped me find treats for my dog (who has been a treat troll lately). They suggested some sweet potato fries after I told them about how my pup has really been enjoying sweet taters lately. They showed me around the store and really added a wonderful ambiance to the whole experience. I greatly appreciate the selection here—things that you really can’t find anywhere else. There’s always something new there for my baby! I wish I could give them more stars!

I’ve shopped here a few times and my dog and I love it. Tonight, though, Sam went above and beyond to help us. She helped Lily pick out an awesome new harness and some yummy treats. Excellent service. I truly get like she cared about us. Give that woman a raise. :)

I was thrilled to have the attention of the sales person at the University Drive location today (1/20). He listened to my dog's needs and preferences, and he gave me good alternatives. This was a big deal because my dog had stopped eating, and loves the products he recommended. So far, so good.A year has gone by now. I needed new help for food for my elderly dog who has no teeth. Besides remembering me from past pucrases, Sam helped me find a new way to go. He is "snarfing" up his new food!! Many thanks to Sam!

BEST DIY DOG WASH EVER, and so much more! This gem is easy to overlook, tucked away in the strip of stores beside Fresh Market. Now that I found it, I don’t care to go anywhere else in Durham for my pup’s spa treatment. (He’d prefer No spa but whatever, he loves the staff and treats and toys.) The dog wash has a plethora of shampoo and conditioner options, and they aren’t watered down like most places I’ve been. They also have real treats, and supplies for taking care of eyes, ears, noses, and paws. The only single item that could possibly be added is an apron. Also, they are less expensive than the other places I’ve been in Durham. That’s especially important because they have a great toy/food/treat/training/everything supply - so I can buy other things while I’m there. They also support local animal rescue - I’ve seen adoptable cats there, as well as donation drives.

Sam helped me transition my cat to raw and my cat has enjoyed every product she's recommended! She's super helpful, knowledgable and honest, and just great to talk to. I also appreciate that I can return any product that ends up not working for my cat. Lots of great freeze dried selections here and high quality brands. I usually have trouble finding frozen raw food, but they have a good stock! Really appreciate this gem and the employees that work here.

I went in to use the dog wash and I loved that it was private, located in what was likely a cleaning closet. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t go up the ramp to get into the tub. When I told the employees at the counter they unboxed a new set of steps to help him up there. He still didn’t make it but their effort said a lot about their business. I bought some nice treats before leaving.

I was a longtime shopper at unleashed for everything to do with pets and would give it 5 stars every shopping experience, but my recent experience really hit it out of the park.I recently moved to Spain, and my Cat got out of our hotel room. When I found him, he had lost his collar. While I was extremely happy to have my cat back, the collar I had purched from unleashed was my absolute FAVORITE, I search all over the internet for it, when I couldn't find it, I emailed unleashed. Without hesitation the manager Samantha helped me get my baby a new collar. It arrived in Spain, and I just couldn't be more impressed with the outstanding customer service that I received. Thank you so much for going out of your way to help me and my family. I'm forever grateful. ❤️❤️

Just did a DIY dog wash. The ramp to the tub doesn't reach the floor and is very steep, looks like they raised the tub up with 2x4s. My pup doesn't like baths so ended up pick him up, which he hates. The staff seemed very indifferent. But the price at $15.00 was good.

Stopped in today to check it out. Great products and the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable about pet nutrition. She was very friendly and asked me questions about my cats and what I feed them and actually knew that the company of the food I feed them had recently changed their recipe and that might lead to their recent weight gain. She recommended a few different foods and companies for me to research before I switch their diet. I’m super impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!
